I was referred to Christian Bros. by one of their competitors because my vehicle is a foreign make, which they didn't work on. I called about fixing a problem I created when trying to replace a headlight and they suggested that I just bring it in and they'd take a look. I did and within a couple minutes of my arrival, one of their people, Drew, came out and took a look. I had purched and installed a headlight bulb but couldn't manage to get the harness or clip in place to secure it. Drew spent at least 20 minutes fiddling around with it and finally got it properly seated! Success! I asked him how much for the assistance, and he said he didn't know, so I went in to the service desk and asked again. I was told that there was "no charge" for the effort. Wow! I thames asked if I could at least leave a tip for Drew and was told "no," there was no need to do that. Amazing enough that I'll be back for all my future service needs. Great job Christian Brothers!!

Great service. Their digital system allows you to see what's going on and make an educated decision on which jobs you'd like to get done. The staff are friendly and even help me to dig my car out of the snow. Will come back for future services!

1# in my book. Being a young lady & knowing very little about cars. All I m saying, is when you leave your car with them & get the results. It s a learning experience. Almost like attending your 1st class of automotive. The future is here: A text containing a link to Inspection Reports and Estimates for repairs was sent ASAP, leading to a SUPER user friendly and informative digital interface with pictures of my vehicle, as well as training videos explaining common problems.The shuttle service is AMAZING and so smart / convenient. My trusty and rusty 98 Ram 1500 needed it s Rear wheel-cylinders, drums, and brake shoes done. These Guys did such a detailed review on my truck it was amazing. I only elected to have the brakes done which they accepted without a problem.Now, It would have been much cheaper if I did it myself however, When they were done I realized what a blessing it was to have them do it for me. My old beater (my only Auto) drove like a New Truck! I don t know if they secretly adjusted things for my behalf, but PROFESSIONAL WORK! Hands down the best place to get your car needs taken care of. Online scheduling makes things so easy. Receiving picture and video of what's wrong with your car so you know you aren't being scammed. The amazing customer service. The clean facility. Communication 150% with text updates. Never again will I go anywhere else. So happy with this business and so thankful I was able to find such an amazing place.. thanks Mom for the referral!

Christian Brothers Automotive Plainfield replaced the faulty factory engine in my wife s 17 Escape. They are a very trustworthy, thorough and reliable business. Clearly noting everything that they had found in the diagnostics. They are a very technically based business using text messaging and quotes via messaging to keep you informed. Very courteous on the phone and willing to talk through the issues in detail. I chose to take my vehicle there based on a fellow colleagues experience at my office with her vehicle being diagnosed and repaired in a quick and straightforward manner. These guys are great! My check engine light came on and my car started shaking on the way home from work on a Friday evening. I was unable to find anyone to work on my car during the weekend, so I called Christian Brothers on Monday morning. They were able to take my car that morning and they shuttled me home so I didn't have to wait there. Within a short time, I received texts asking for more information to pass on to their tech. I then received a very detailed diagnostic report of what needs immediate attention, what is recommended, and what looks good. They included links that provided more information on what the parts do so you can make an informed decision, and they include the cost for each repair. There were photos of various parts of my car to show their condition, whether good or bad. It reassured me that they indeed looked over the critical areas of my car, rather than just taking them on their word. At the end of the day, I picked up my car and it is running perfectly. I am especially grateful since I had to drive during the recent blizzard. Everyone in the office and also the shuttle driver were respectful and welcoming. I am so grateful to the Plainfield Christian Brothers and will be taking my car to them from now on.

I have always had a positive experience when i get my vehicle serviced at Christian Brothers. The staff is kind and polite. They explain what is going wrong with my vehicle when I come in with an issue and usually it doesnt take long to get my car back. Love that they offer pick up and drop off service so i can have it serviced while i am working.Service: Auto maintenance

I have to say that they made the whole experience one that will make me return to them for future needs. They were wonderful from start to finish! When no one else wanted to help my daughter with her 1999 VW Beetle, they would, AND they still went above and beyond to check through and diagnose specifically what was wrong. They repaired everything we asked to and now it is running top notch! Your service should speak for itself without using your faith as a crutch to get the local Dutch community in the door. You make people feel great face to face, but then absolutely price gouge them, and most of your non car savvy customers don t mind or know better because they think you have their best interest in mind. Be careful that you are not like the scribes and Pharisees who were very public about their faith, but Jesus called them hypocrites and white washed tombs.

Absolutely loved my experience here! I was definitely blown away by the customer service, quick turnaround time, and professionalism. They have a shuttle service, and so, they took me home and picked me up when my car was done(!!!). They were so knowledgeable and explained things very well. I also especially liked the diagnostic inspection report that I received. They provided pictures of my car parts and also distinguished which issues "required attention" or "are recommended to get serviced." Because my car tires also needed to get replaced at nearby tire shop, they were kind enough to take my car there for me. Truly an amazing experience and so grateful for the team looking at my car at short notice! Easy in and out! Repair/alignment was done quickly and correct. Car drives down the road nice and straight. Needed an alignment after I made tie - rod and ball joint repairs to my Ford Fusion. These guys were great. On-time ready for me when I arrived. Got me right in and out. Less then an hour. I was impressed. Free Candy and Beverages in lobby. Gotta like that! After moving to Grand Rapids, I was recommended Christian Brothers Automotive by a friend who was raving about the warranty that CBA offers for all the work they do. Essentially, this warranty ensures that any repairs, replacements, inspections etc. that CBA does are covered under warranty for a certain amount of time or mileage (whatever comes later), meaning that if anything goes wrong with the parts they inspect, replace or repair there is no cost to you. On paper this warranty looks great until you realize that it is more out of necessity because of how much they mess up.I brought my family car in for a simple oil change and brake and rotor inspection and/or replacement if necessary. At first I was impressed and relieved as they did an inspection of the whole car and identified other concerning issues that were costly, but overall needed fixing. I shelled out and was satisfied with my service, until about 2 weeks later when I noticed that the oil had not be topped off and the mileage for next oil change was significantly off. These were not big deals in and of themselves; however, the bigger issue came when I began noticing a rough scraping, squeaking, thumping, and an overall tightness in the rear brakes. So I took the car back in and asked them to inspect the brakes and rotors again to diagnose and fix the problem. Sure enough, they had left a broken piece from the previous rotor and brake pads in the brake caliper. Again, I walked away satisfied, they said they had diagnosed the problem and inspected the brake caliper, brake pads, and rotor again claiming that after test driving it all of the issues I listed (scraping, squeaking, thumping, and feeling as if the brakes were constantly pressed) seemed to be gone. Luckily, it was covered under warranty, or so I thought. Part of it was covered under warranty, but then on the estimate there were small costs for related items. I decided to take the loss, despite feeling as if it was means of making up for charges I didn't have to pay due to the warranty.So again I went on my way, when in less than a month, the squeaking and the tightness in the brake caliper worsened significantly. I took it back to their shop again for them to diagnose the problem as faulty brake fluid (air bubbles in the brake lines) and faulty brake calipers in the rear. Expecting it to be covered under their warranty, I was shocked when they gave me an estimate near the price I originally paid for the original brake and rotor replacement. When I approached the manager about this issue at check-out, he admitted that "they probably missed it during the inspection" the second time I brought it in, but when I suggested that since it was missed it should be covered under warranty, he got immediately defensive stating that "even if we missed it, you could've damaged the caliper following the inspection." Given his defensiveness, I did not press the issue further, despite being out over $1600 total for all the times I had to bring it in. Needless to say I will not be seeking services here again.My only warning is this: just because they offer a warranty, doesn't mean it's a good deal. They will find ways to charge you even if it does fall under the warranty, and they seem to think that a warranty is a good substitution for doing a good job the first time with integrity and expertise.

Trustworthy & truthful. Picking not only a honest but skilled auto repair shop can be a shot in the dark, this is the place to go. The team here blew me away with their customer service first and foremost. All associates were polite, friendly, informative, respectful and cheerful. The appointment times were exact, no waiting or having to call to see when the car would be hoisted, the communication was fluid, there was no aggressive overselling tactics and there is a genuine feel to their front office. The overall bad reputation of mechanics and auto shops was put to rest during my visit here, especially as a first time customer. They even offer a digital diagnostic so you can review all documents and pictures on your own time, as well as a free shuttle. If you are looking for a new shop to take your vehicle and unsure where to trust, I would definitely recommend giving this shop a chance. I popped in here on 2-3-23 when my car was having severe issues shifting gears. They immediately knew what I was talking about when I was describing what was happening and hooked my car up right then and there to the tester and confirmed the suspicions. Jim brought me into the garage to show me what I was dealing with and wrote down what I needed to fix it on my own to save money. I fixed what they said it needed and I haven't had an issue since.
