Absolutely wonderful. Obviously I was having issues with my car which is why I came here. Office staff was great and they told me exactly what was going on with my car before they did any repairs. Got everything taken care of. It took less time than I expected to get the repairs finished on my vehicle and pricing was very reasonable. I think this is going to be my go-to mechanic from now on. I have no complaints

Thought I found a new trustworthy and great working auto shop. Not the case. Sat and waited and waited. Before I left had to go back in so they could change my settings back like they were. Week into the repair noticed my tires were swapped out. Be careful. Only took me twice to learn a costly mistake. Stay away.

Alvin and his team do awesome work, are honest and fair priced. They replaced the transmission in our Dodge Caravan in less than a week while other places were weeks out. Definitely support this local business!

Updated (3/5/2024):I brought my vehicle to the Honda dealer and they were quoting me $2,000 for a new drive shaft and other things.Had to get a second opinion, brought it here.Alvin looked into it quickly and found out it was just rocks built up in my wheel well. He cleaned out the rocks for me and charged me nothing for the service. I have not had the problem since.I called the dealer that quoted me $2,000 back and told them what happened. They apologized and now giving me back my $100 diagnostic refund.In short, I m bringing my vehicle here now on.Previous Review:Got my brakes and rotors done here. Price is very reasonable and they do it quickly! I never leave a review for mechanics as my emotions get the best of me after a costly repair. But this place was the best price and service overall. I highly recommend to give this place a call if your considering getting your car repaired.

Highly, highly, highly recommend Aleman Auto. Professional work, friendly staff, great prices, and above all else, honest. Alvin takes the time to explain everything in a way that few others do. This place is as good as it gets.

Called last minute to see if they could squeeze me in to reattach my splash shield and they totally did! Barely charged me for that, AND talked me through different options for a couple other repairs. Everyone was patient and kind, and didn't make me feel like an idiot.

Literally never leave reviews but I have nothing but positive things to say about the service I received here! I needed new brake pads and rotors and not only were they able to get me in the next day the price they quoted me was incredibly fair and they didn t overcharge with the labor fees. The after hours key drop box made it super convenient to leave my car and my brakes are smooth as butter now! 10/10 recommend for any auto work and will definitely be taking my car and my wife s car there again in the future.Services: Auto brake repair, Brakes, Auto brake replacement

Excellent communication, customer service and efficient! Happened to break down in Grand Rapids and had completely demolished my radiator. I barely know anybody here but heard from a friend that they and their family have taken their vehicles here and have always had great luck. I also agree and am honestly shocked at how quickly a turnaround there was! From identifying the problem to having the car fixed was under 24 hours. Everyone was extremely polite and they even were able to get the radiator cheaper than originally thought. I know thats not always a guarantee but it's always nice to know people are looking out for you! Anyways, if I didn't live 2 hours away this would be where I go from here on! Best experience I've had in auto repair!

I totally lucked out finding this spot last minute on a Saturday morning. Easily the best experience I ve ever had a mechanic shop. While our van was getting worked on, we sat in the lobby and talked with the owner for an hour about music (we re in a band). He was personable, honest, and super friendly. It s too bad we re from St. Louis or this place would be our spot for life. Again, everything about the experience was exceptional and this place should have a waitlist. The quintessential family business that has perfected customer service. Last but not least, it was a quick fix and very affordable and honest. We hope to not breakdown in Grand Rapids again, but if we do, we know where we re going. They were fantastic! We were traveling and had a break down, called them on Friday eve and they were able to get me fixed first thing Saturday morning. Price was fair and service was great! Would highly recommend

I came to Aleman s as a second opinion; I went to a completely different mechanic at a completely different auto repair shop (in my local town) and I called Aleman s and told them what I was advised and what the other mechanic found during their inspection , and my mechanic at Aleman s not only stated that he could get this very expensive fix done for me in one day (I have a toddler and my vehicle is my only means of transportation) but he also advised that he would do it for a better price than the other 10 shops I called could give me. I brought my car in the night before and it was the first vehicle worked on the next morning. When my mechanic at Aleman s was getting ready to change out the parts and he called advising in his experience what the issue I was originally advised was not going to fix the problem, that in his experience it was xyz . I couldn t be more grateful for his experience, expertise and his transparency with me regarding the issue with my vehicle. Not only does my vehicle drive the way it should, but also by him being a very honest and trustworthy mechanic, he saved me over $700. Needless to say, I will NEVER go to any other auto shop.Please consider them for all your needs, I promise you that you will be taken care of, not to mention their team is very friendly and knowledgeable. I m so grateful that they were able to help me, and literally within days of the holiday!Thank you all so much!

Aleman's is the place for trustworthy, honest and friendly auto repair. I trust them to work on everything from my 18 year old Subaru to my new GMC Sierra. (I also see they are working on EV/Hybrids now.) The people on the phone are always informative and kind. At Aleman's I feel like I'm part of their family. Took a Jeep I was thinking of buying here for an inspection. Alvin was thorough throughout and very informative and direct. Ended up finding out that the front ball bearings and tie rods were bad and ready to snap. Alvin has a good eye for solutions and was extremely helpful! Definitely recommend!

Alvin and his crew are hands down the most honest mechanics I've ever gone to! I've brought numerous problems with my car to him and each time he explains the problem thoroughly and the options I have to fix them. The prices are unbeatable and they are FAST. Usually done in a day, two at the most. He is very friendly and takes pride in his work. I cannot recommend them enough. Go see him and you'll never go anywhere else!

The staff here was extremely accommodating when I called shortly before they closed on a Friday evening. I was able to get my car in on Saturday morning and got my brake pads replaced as well as a rotor repaired before I went back home to Chicago. It was very reasonably priced and the staff went above-and-beyond to help me out. I would highly recommend using this auto body shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Alvin is the best! Good, honest, great value service. I've taken a number of different vehicles here, Al has always steered me right. Great advice on what needs to be fixed and the best way to go about it to keep some of the older vehicles safely on the road.

Electricals'll break the bank--and your heart 'cause you think you've tracked down the short, the fuse, the crossed wire, only to turn your key on another dead battery, see that engine light come back on, or find something flashing that was never intended to flash.Not this time, you wily gods of Amp and Ohm. Mr. Alvin Aleman was on the case.Aleman's is a family-run place, with all of the good (clean, friendly, not-out-to-gouge-you) and none of the bad. Alvin Aleman, the owner, is smart, talented, and loves the cars he works on. He diagnosed and fixed the electrical problem in a snap.And for less than the dealership's minimum rack charge.Since I've got a 2001 Civic, Newton's first Principle will inevitably apply ("...a body in motion will remain in motion unless it is acted upon by an external force "), and when it does, look for me at Aleman's.

Aleman Auto has been my family and business go to mechanic for a few years now. It s nice to see the growth in knowledge that Alvin and the family have gained over the years and how they have used it improve their work and overall customer experience. They are always reasonable a honest with their customers. I always refer family and customers to these guys as I trust they will treat them as they treat me. Keep it up guys! The sky s the limit!

I've been going to Aleman Auto Repair for all of my vehicle maintenance and repairs for almost 5 years now, and I couldn't be happier. I find Alvin Aleman to be a knowledgeable and experienced mechanic and his integrity beyond reproach. His prices are fair and his work is impeccable.Alvin and his employees are people that care about the quality of their work and take pride in what they do, and they won't settle until the job is done right. They're upfront and transparent about everything.You may not like the look of the shop (which is constantly expanding and improving) but like the old saying goes; "Never judge a book by it's cover", and that saying certainly proves true here.Aleman Auto Repair is the only place I trust with my vehicles and it's the consistent quality of their work and fair prices that have earned my loyalty and keep me coming back time and time again.If you don't have a mechanic or are dissatisfied with your current one then I cant recommend Aleman Auto Repair highly enough.

I had a gas line leak start late on a Friday afternoon. I was from out of town...so didn t know if I could find someone to repair it and didn t have an idea of who to trust. Reading the reviews for Alemans, it seemed like a good choice, but the reviews also seemed too good to be fully true. Well.....not only was my experience at least as good as the reviews, I was treated extremely well by Alvin, his father, and sister. They got my car in and repaired over the weekend. This is a class repair shop. Family owned, and professional in every way. My daughter, who lives in Grand Rapids, now has a go-to when it is needed.Thanks again Aleman!!!

I highly recommend Aleman Auto Repair!!! They did not ask me to write any review for them as some businesses do. This was completely my decision to write the review.They really came through when I was in a bind. Back in October, I was visiting Grand Rapids for the weekend. I drove from Chicago and arrived Friday evening. When I got to my hotel, I noticed something was very wrong with my engine. I called Aleman Auto Saturday morning and spoke with Ricardo who was very friendly. I made an appointment to come in at 11:00 AM, and on Saturdays they close at noon. When I arrived, they looked at my engine and said I needed a new water pump, since mine was in really bad shape. I was leaving Grand Rapids to drive back to Chicago on Sunday. Since I told Ricardo I was from Chicago and was leaving the next day, Sunday, they stayed for a few hours past their closing time of noon on Saturday just for me! They replaced the water pump and it was all fixed on Saturday!They are very, very honest and the price was very fair. No upsells or BS. Ricardo was so friendly and easy to talk to. He even spent time giving me recommendations about bars and restaurants I should go to while visiting Grand Rapids! I'll be forever grateful to Aleman Auto Repair for really helping me out when I was in a city I was unfamiliar with, and driving a car that was nearly about to overheat and break down because of the water pump. Thank you! You guys were life savers!!!Service: Engine repair

I stopped in with no appointment and the shop was super busy, still the nice guys here took a look at my car right away and made me an appointment for the next morning. Everyone was really respectful and friendly which is a rare experience for me as a young women. they even offered me a ride while my car was in the shop. I would highly recommend this family business!
