This place left us in awe! Without a doubt, it was the highlight of our trip. Their responsiveness was exceptional, addressing every question and offering fantastic recommendations for trails and must-see sights along the way. The equipment was clean, well-maintained, and performed flawlessly. Following a very exciting day on the trails, we regrettably left our GoPro camera in the UTV. Despite reaching out after hours and expecting to leave a voicemail, they answered our call and reassured us that they would ensure the safe return of the camera.If you're contemplating whether to rent a UTV or not, this is the place to do it. The boundless nearby trails and staff at Grand Marais Powersports made it an unforgettable experience! We will definitely be back! :)

Decided last minute to rent a side by side for a day to explore the scenic areas and check out some of the trails. Definitely glad we did! The owner was more than accommodating and it was an amazing experience. We'll definitely be doing that again. I highly recommend GMP to anyone even thinking about renting a machine. You'll be very glad you did. Thanks again!

Excellent place to rent a snowmobile or many snowmobiles. The owners Richard and Jennifer are so friendly and helpful on where to ride. The snowmobiles we rented were new, perfect condition with all the amenities needed for a fun day on the trails.

We rented the Can-am Defender MAX 1000 for the day and had a blast. We found sand, woods, mud and the trails in the area are amazing! We have rented equipment several times before and Grand Marais Powersports not only had the best price, but they understand that these machines will get dirty and scratched when trail riding so no nickel and diming you at the end!

My family rented 2 can am machines and had a blast! They were very friendly and helpful. Stopped in once to get more detail of where trails were since this was the first time riding in this area and he was very informative. Machines were fun and ran great. Well worth the money! Would definitely rent again when we are in the area.

My wife and I rented a 2-up snowmobile in March and had a great experience. Richard and Jennifer were very helpful and provided tips on where to ride for a day trip. We were able to return the sled after hours, and forgot our gloves on the sled that evening. Jen contacted us the next day to let us know we forgot our gloves and offered to mail them to our house. We look forward to returning in the summer, to rent a side-by-side.

We came up from Ohio and really enjoyed exploring the trails using a side by side we rented for a day. When I came in to pick up the vehicle they gave me a map with recommendations where to go. We ended up going east, stopping for pizza at Pine Stump for lunch. The whole family had a great time. Thank you!

We randomly saw this place walking back from the beach and on a whim thought it would be fun to rent an ATV for the day, but they were all booked. However we gave them a call and they said they might have something for us. Turned out he was able to repair one in the morning that wasn't planned for service, so we were able to go after all! They were great explaining the trails and giving ideas where to go. Our whole family had a blast just exploring around! Glad they were able to work something out for us last minute!

Highly recommend!We rented 2 CanAm's for trail riding for a full day. We were new this. They were beyond helpful getting us set. From running the machines to what routes to take and what to see, they we're spot on. Pickup and drop off were easy...great to work with. Equipment was too notch, one was brand new.Upon return, Richard spent extra time suggesting places to eat and other places to visit for the rest of our trip...very personable and helpful.

Owner is such a nice guy. Had so much fun riding the trails. If your vacationing in Grand Marais, I would highly recommend renting from Grand Marias Powersports. You wont regret it.

This place is a joke Only got a hour or 2 of ride time before the drive belt blew and had to tow one back 70 miles. By the time we got back they were closed and wouldn t answer there phone u til the next day when they called to tell us they were charging us for a scrape on the side of one and a rollover fee even though none were rolled or even looked alike it. So ended up paying $2000 for a hour or 2 of ride time Would not recommended this place to anyone. Completely ruined our vacation

Rented a side by side from Richard in October. He was great to work with.The owners were very easy to reach and communicate with. They took the time to provide good tips and places to travel to. Looking forward to making future rentals.

The owner Richard and his son Richard were excellent to work with! We contacted them about renting snowmobiles for the day, and within an hour, we were out on the trails! Very reasonable pricing and they offered rentals on gear too! Would highly recommend!

We went with the Can-am Commander MAX for a full day of trail riding. The reservation and pick up was a breeze. Jen is amazing, she walked us through everything we needed to know about the machine and the trails. We highly recommend renting from Richard and we look forward to using his services again in the future.

The owner Richard is very shady. Highly recommend looking elsewhere to rent anything from. We booked in advance to rent snowmobiles based on the deposit being refundable all along if trail conditions were poor. Ended up pouring rain on our rental day with trails closing and they refused to refund us. Owner seemed polite when booking the trip but turned arrogant very quickly when asking to be refunded. One of our friends gave them a bad review and when he found out he told us he won t refund us because of that. Very petty.

My personal snowmobile broke while riding so i contacted them to try to rent one.They were all in use when i originally called but owner said there would likely be one coming back and contacted me as soon as one was available. Turned the weekend around and was able to still have fun. Very nice guy and a quality sled, would rent again if the time comes up.

This was our first time renting a UTV side by side, we camped nearby at Muskallonge State Park, Richard suggested delivering the Can Am Commander to our campsite. When I spoke with him the day of our arrival, he suggested delivering the machine that evening and am glad he did due to weather. He was very patient with going over the machine with my wife and I, he also handled a barrage of questions from friends of ours about the local trails and sight seeing. We had 4 days of fun, the machine performed flawlessly, plenty of storage space for all of our gear. When I returned to Grand Marais to return the machine, Richard and his wife greeted us at the gas station and insisting we check out the Log Slide (must see area attraction). Thanks Richard for your professionalism and I definitely will be back next year.

We had a great time! Reasonable pricing, friendly staff, equipment in excellent condition, this is a really fun way to adventure off the beaten paths with the family. Only complaint is that the map provided is a bit ambiguous, but we found and downloaded an app that helped with navigation.

Do not rent from this company! We planned a trip for New Years, they needed a deposit of 440USD (which is fine) but were agreeable/compliant with refunding us if the trails were closed and the sleds weren t usable for the weather conditions. We called 4 days in advance to cancel because we could foresee the weather was calling for rain. They wouldn t refund us until the day it actually rained. The day we were supposed to pick up the sleds it was raining and obviously we couldn t use them, trails were closed. They refused to refund us any money at all. They run a business that is weather permitting, these are the risks you d think they would be aware of. Richard was very rude and unprofessional on the phone. He didn t seem to care since he made 440 for nothing. suggest booking at another rental place there are a few around.

Easy booking, good equipment. Jen is very helpful and friendly. Bad weather = no problem. Adjusted schedule and willing to change days if need be. She mapped out great course to follow to see/do the most of what we wanted to visit. Will rent again...great time

This was the most fun of our trip!!! They were great to work with. Gave us ideas of where to go and then set us free to get lost and have fun. This is a must do, but be careful because these are very addictive.

Very knowledgeable and friendly. Explained details and showed us maps of where we could go. Trustworthy. Felt very comfortable renting from them. Highly recommend this business. Well worth the money!!

Went riding for the day, conditions were perfect and so were the owners. Very friendly and brand new and updated snowmobiles. We will rent again.

Awesome people! I was having some issues with my sled and stopped in hoping they had a service department. They didn't but the owner helped us out for no charge. can't say enough!
