On Dec 7th, we took our 2009 Tahoe in for a Check Engine and Oil Pressure light. The oil pump was the main repair and although the warranty covered most of the repairs, we still had to pay almost $1000. It is because of the warranty that I think our service was so disgraceful and unprofessional. This review covers an eight week period of terrible experience with Sundance and I had to cut a lot of it out to accommodate the character limit.The first repair wasn t a bad experience. We got a Chevy Cruz for a rental. By Friday of that week, our car was ready and my wife returned the rental car and drove the Tahoe out of the shop. Two miles away, the Oil Light came on again and she drove it back. We were able to use the rental again, but hoped the repairs wouldn t take longer than another week; my wife and I read through the warranty coverage agreement and a rental car is covered by our warranty company up to $40/day for 6 days.Two weeks later, on Dec 16th, with no customer contact, I called for updates and whether or not our rental coverage was extended by the warranty company. I was told they were waiting on the warranty company.A week later, on Dec 23, still without a call, I called again and asked for an update and about rental coverage.Two weeks later, on Jan 11th, 2021, still without a call from Jay, I called and asked for an update. Jay said that he was waiting on a code from the warranty company, but that our Tahoe will be ready to picked up two days later, on Wednesday.Saturday, Jan 16th, no calls from Jay or a manager. At this point, it had been in the shop a total of 41 days. Our rental car agreement had been expired for over a month. I called Sundance and talked to a manager.The following Monday, on Jan 18th, I finally received two phone calls from Jay who said that Sundance and the warranty company were going back-and-fourth on rental car charges and that they came to the agreement that we would only have to pay $100 (we would have returned our rental before the six days were out). That evening, I returned our rental and picked up our Tahoe.The following day, Jan 19th, 5 miles down the road, another service message came on saying that the Hybrid System needed to be serviced. We immediately drove it to Sundance Chevrolet for the third time. Jay said he would give me a call and let me know what the problem was as soon as possible. Before I left, I asked if I needed to sign any paperwork. Jay said that he would take care of it and that paperwork wasn t necessary. That afternoon, I noticed a large puddle of oil on my driveway underneath where the Tahoe sat for the night.A week later, on Jan 26th, no updates, no estimates or quotes, and with still no word from Jay, I gave him a call. He said that our vehicle was done and was ready to be picked up at any time . Jay said there would be no charge due to it being a leaky hose and that it was more than likely their mistake .The next day, Jan 27th, my wife picked up the Tahoe. There is still a leak. I also noticed that there was a greater amount of miles on the odometer than what I remember the Tahoe had. They had put 64 miles test-driving it. No manager could explain that. They also didn't air up the tires which were still 10-20psi below where they should have been (the manager said this was from the cold weather...).We took our Tahoe to a mechanic shop in Perry and they said everything Sundance worked on had a "healthy" leak of coolant and oil. They ended up replacing almost everything. Thankfully, they took multiple pictures of the work done by Sundance and said it was all human error. They also found a bolt in the bottom of the oil pan that didn't even belong to our Tahoe engine. We filed a complaint through the State who sent an agent out to Sundance. We wanted $1400 from Sundance to cover the bill from Classic Auto--a more than fair settlement. They offered $500 and only if we took this review down. The manager couldn't understand why we didn't bring the Tahoe back in for the oil and coolant leaks...Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Transmission went out on our 2017 Terrain. We luckily still had GM warranty to replace the part. Sundance did the part replacement in 2021 which took a few weeks to complete. Last week, the transmission went down again with less than 30k miles on it. Sundance refused to back up their work as they said our warranty was expired by this point and they couldn't help. We took the car to another repair shop, which found that we did in fact still have warranty coverage. Will never go back to Sundance to buy or have dealership repairs done.Service: Transmission replacement

We had several Sundance salesmen fail us from ghosting us to taking our 100% refundable hold. Went in 8 months pregnant and specifically said no more lemons (I understand used cars have some issues). The car we went with we were told the power steering pump was replaced. Turned out not to be the case and wasn't covered by the warranty we purchased - the only warranty they went over with us. Sundance also would've taken the longest time and cost more than any other mechanic we talked to. Our car has since had nothing but problems - another lemon to put my young children in.

I had the pleasure of working with Bryan. My vehicle was not drivable after hitting a deer and I wanted to send it to Sundance but I was not sure that I could get it there due to the location compared to where I live. He assured me that the insurance would cover up to $150 of the towing and he would take care of the rest and he did. Bryan Also shared with me that they would pay my deductible 10% of whatever the total cost and repairs were, which ended up covering my entire deductible. He kept me informed on my vehicle through the entire process. When everything was said and done I wasn t sure how I was going to get my vehicle back due to my work hours. To my amazement Bryan was kind enough to have two gentleman deliver this to me.This is the second valuable experience that I ve had with Sundance. The first was buying this vehicle from them. I m so thankful for the team that worked on my vehicle. I wasn t without it long and I was taken such great care of by the entire team!Thank you Sundance! Great place to bring your vehicle, make sure you get complete say on whether all parts are in or not. After dropping off vehicle to be fixed at their expense (hour drive), was told that the 2nd part wasn't in and might be awhile to arrive because of the pandemic and how hard it is to get the correct part in. So, have to bring vehicle back down to be fixed again (under warranty, so no expense other than gas to get down) when part comes in (hopefully sometime before new years day). Not too happy about that...

I had to bring my vehicle in for pistons, rings, and a new muffler. Chad Francisco is the service area was AWESOME! He got almost all my repairs covered under my warranty. Paid just over $8k for a used vehicle in October. Brought it in 2 months later for an oil change and they informed it needed $4k in repairs, 75% of which was for some reason or another, NOT covered by the warranty. The oil and trans pan were so rusted out that the oil change place refused to service it, forcing me to go back to the dealer. After making an appointment and arrangements for a loaner ( covered under warranty) I drove an hour there only to be told they had no loaners and I d have to come back in a few days. A day after dropping off the car I got the call about all the repairs and was told it would take almost a week to fix but the I could warrantied loaner for a few days then I d have pay $25/day.Do yourself a favor and go to a smaller dealer somewhere. They move so many cars here even the sales staff isn t aware of how terrible most of the vehicles they sell are and the service department did not even perform an oil change on the car before selling it even though it was over 1 qt low on the day of purchase. The warranty was explained in such a way where I was under the impression it was to cover repairs if the vehicle had issues but apparently it really just for show.All in all, I m incredibly disappointed with my purchase now. I will pay the repair cost and keep the vehicle because after the repairs it will in great shape, but I also could have got a much better car had I known I was going to spend $12k instead of $8k. Can honestly say after I pick my car up next week I will just pay out of pocket for a random mechanic to work on it instead of the free repairs offered built the dealer. I will absolutely never buy another vehicle from them as long as I live.Updating : after picking up my car from the dealer shop I had a dead battery, blown headlight, a bad spark plug, and now it s having electrical issues. DO NOT BUY USED OR TAKE ANY VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE!!! I can t say this enough. They tried to charge me $258 to CHANGE THE BATTERY.

Took our car, that we bought from Sundance less than a year ago, in for service. There was an issue due to, we believe, an accident from before we bought it. We were never told about any previous accidents when we bought it and they refused to go back and check to see if there was any record of it.The issue was fixed but it was a week of waiting. I understand things sometimes take longer than planned but there was zero communication, promises to call with updates were never followed through. In the end, it s fixed and wasn t too expensive but their customer service needs some major work and made the whole situation so much more stressful.Would not recommend.

Absolutely the worst people to do business with I have experience in my life. Between the lies and the incompetence and the lack of communication and let's also not forget the fact that they're continuing to advertise they can give you a rental vehicle when last year they weren't able to and again this year they somehow have no rental vehicles so those of us that still work can get to work to pay for their nonsense, totally unacceptable. Nobody should be doing business with these people, they're so bad that I'm forced to go someplace else to have their mistakes fixed.Service: A/C installation & repair

I needed to get my car in to be seen with no notice and I also had to have a loaner vehicle. They said they could get me in right away but wouldn't have a loaner for days. I called around to other places and all told me basically the same thing so I called Sundance again and I guess the lady felt my desperation and said hang on let me see what I can do. After a few minutes on hold so she come on in today and we will have a vehicle for you. She saved my week. Very good service!

My husband and I bought a truck there last November, since then we have had to get thousands of dollars of work done. This week while driving down the road the truck makes the loudest noise ever and comes to an immediate stop. The transmission is dead! We haven t even had the truck a year, and getting ahold of anyone to talk to is a joke. We have left multiple messages with managers to never get a return call. This has been by far the worst car purchase ever! I will never come back and I recommend everyone else not give them your business.

Put in an application for financing, they ran my credit, I've been ignored, and brushed off. My dad retired as one of the top salesman at his dealership, and I know from watching him work it doesn't take a lot of effort to show somebody a little bit of respect. At the very minimum I would expect an email from them stating that they couldn't work with me.

Do not purchase used vehicles from here. The majority of their used cars are from Canada. The rust there is 10 times as worse than it is in Michigan. Do not buy from here. But its up to you. In addition Dealer if you read this, do not respond to this review. Should probably try and create more fake accounts that are created less than a month ago to boost your ratings back up. I digress.

We bought a car in January. Since then we have had it in the shop twice for repairs . The last one costing half of what we paid . We contacted the sales person who sold us the car explained the issue and we asked about a trade in due to it breaking down so much . He let us know he'd talk to his manager and call us back . That was over 4 days ago . Still no response. We called several times .there not returning our calls .

Purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle in July of 2018 - They failed to file the certified pre-owned paperwork (learned this through a local dealer where we live) and then tried telling us it wasn't sold as certified pre-owned and refused to help us (this is the top manager, mind you).We had to threaten legal action as we had documentation indicating it was sold to us as a certified pre-owned, only then did they make it right although they never apologized or admitted error, just mailed us paperwork that was back dated.I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone, even my worse enemy. It's not worth their shady business practices.

Purchased used low mile car quickly and efficiently from Matt who had all paperwork prepared and ready for signing. Matt followed up with all open items on the vehicle and fulfilled his end of the deal. Sam Cypher the sales manager engaged in a healthy amount of negotiation on the final sales price ultimately agreeing to a fair deal.

Well not to great a service hear I'm afraid. First they put the car we picked out in the lot ..to sell, with a bad air-conditioning unit..we pointed that out and of course they said it would be fixed..A week and a half later, in this HEAT. They have us WAIT FOR THE PART..ok because of the ....pandemic and wait on parts..ok..But with as they say 1500 used cars on the lot they have NO LOANERS?? SO..... we are driving our new car, which SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED BEFORE IT EVEN GOES ON THE LOT TO SELL..so no not happy..they need to FIX THINGS THEY SELL BEFORE THEY PUT IT ON THE LOT....BEWARE...

So disappointed I got a lemon and they shafted me on my warranty, so now I'm paying over $200 a month on a car that does not run. I have done nothing but pour money into this vehicle and if it's not one thing it's another. As the single mother of two I was hoping that I would not be taken advantage of but that is exactly what happened.
