They did my 1984 s10 ls1 5.3 swap. There was alot of work and Todd did good job working with me and getting what parts I wanted to get the performance I wanted they have also fixed my turbo jeep Cherokee 4.0 and welded up some spider gears as well. Love shops that will do requests just be patient when it's peal season good job girls up front for dealing with me on a weekly basis lol .

Amazing people, amazing service. I had a breakdown on a Friday morning and they fit me in that day and drove me home. I was kept apprised of the situation throughout the day. Since the brand name part my car requires is on backorder for several months, they tried off brand parts. When the first one did not work, they had another brought in from Traverse City. When that one failed as well, they were able to clean up my original part to make it run until a new one is available. Still working like a charm after two months.I had another issue recently, unrelated to the first one. They were able to fit me in first thing the following morning and it was done in time for me to get to work.I was driven back and forth from the shop to my house.I highly recommend Northern Baer and I won't take my car anywhere else.

Cassie and Courtney go above and beyond to deal with warranty companies to ensure that you are getting repairs done IAW your contract. I ve had my 2017 Suburban in here several times for repairs and they were great handling warranties! Although this is a family business(husband/sister in-law), they treat customers just like they treat family! Super proud of all the staff with how hard they work for their customers!

We sent our Jeep Wrangler to them for an electrical problem that was a needle in a haystack to find.The guys that worked on my jeep especially Lenny had his work cut out for him as this was not an easy fix.Our jeep was down for over a month and even the dealership couldn't figure it out.Thank god that Lenny was on top of it and doing his research and making calls otherwise "Betty White" would still be sitting.Thank you to Courtney ,Lenny and the rest of the crew for taking this job on and not giving up.Ill never be able to express how grateful I am for you all!!

Took my Dodge Ram in to get checked out before a trip due to suspension noise. They got me in quickly and confirmed nothing serious. Great communication and fair price

We pulled into Alpine Auto Repair without an appointment to get our taillight and blinker bulbs replaced on our RV. The kind gentlemen immediately replaced the bulb and checked all our lights. We then asked him how much we owed him and he told us to "have a nice day" and that there was no charge!!! Amazing business!!Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

I had a out of town break down Josh and his shop were speedy and great to work with. There was an issue a few days later with the part and they backed it up with my local repair shop immediately. Bestand honest repeat shop wouldn't hesitate to refer them

I own a shop downstate and had a customer in the area who broke down on the side of 75, Josh was awesome to deal with and got my customer in and back on the road in a few hours!!!! Highly recommend this shop in Northern Michigan!! Thanks again Northern Baer for your customer service!

My car had to get a new shifter as the old one was faulty. Had it go into neutral one day on a drive. Drove it to their parking lot, parked it overnight and I called them the next day explaining the problem. I initially had an appointment set for 2 weeks later but they ordered the parts and had it repaired within a week. Cost was expected and they treated me nicely letting me know what was going on while my car was there. Highly recommend them.

I will start by saying that I am a fairly experienced backyard mechanic who has been servicing vehicles for over 30 years. The reason I mention this is because even if I had never installed a wiper blade myself I believe they would have treated me no differently. My family and I were on our final road trip from Massachusetts to Michigan before my oldest son headed off to Penn State for his freshman year of college. Needless to say, driving a 12 year old minivan I anticipated possible car troubles. I pulled into Alpine auto at 5:10 pm and explained my situation. They were incredibly helpful and understanding, test drove my car, and told me I could bring the car in the morning and they would look at it. I braced my family for the possibility of spending several days waiting for the van to be repaired which would in turn have ended our trip and we would have headed directly home once the van was repaired. I assumed my wheel bearing was failing due to the noise and anticipated a fairly expensive repair. To my dismay they told me my aftermarket wheels were not mounted correctly (my fault) and charged me less than 2 hours labor!! I cannot say enough good things about a business that treats people with honesty and integrity! They had no clue just how upsetting it would have been to all of us had we missed out on the rest of our road trip yet they treated us as if we were a priority. All I can say is thank you and that the owners and employees of Alpine can confidently hold their heads up knowing they are decent people who are great at what they do. We required an emergency check of our air conditioner while on a long important trip with a deadline. We asked for help. Alpine auto checked our vehicle and nicely explained that the drainage we were seeing was normal. I double checked later with the dealership that sells my vehicle and got confirmation that all is fine.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANY REPAIRS. They are incompetent and refuse to accept responsibility for their workmanship.Used Jason at Alpine Auto to fix a front end issue. They FORGOT to put the bolt holding the CV axle back and the axle came out (while the car was being driven) causing irreparable damage to the transmission. We have pictures of the CV axle without the bolt. They have REFUSED to repair / replace the transmission and make us whole. They are reported to the state for poor workmanship and no warranty on repairs. DO NOT USE THEM. They are terrible to deal with.

Alpine Auto changed my entire engine on a Ford F150, They did an amazing job!! Quoted me in 10 min with Fair pricing, and did the entire change over in less then 3 days.I am very impressed with the customer service. I also recieved a text a couple days later to confirm all was good. You don't find auto repair facilities with this much care and fast work as them. Great Job!! I recommend this facility!

My car was the only means of transportation. I had medical appointments with no way to get there! Their very knowledgeable staff understood my problem. They worked on it and fixed the problem. Gotta throw these guys a great review,I been using them a year plus and they have been great with there service. Recently my dad had passed away and I was left his truck. Long story short it needed a new engine in my Ford F-150 after the plug blew threw one of the heads.I got a remanufactured engine and install for a very fair price. I appreciate the service here

Went in for some front suspension work, and they were unable to do it and charged a reasonable fee for taking the car apart and back together, fine. Also needed a rear wheel bearing done, which I specifically told the woman who quoted me (WRONG BTW) and when I came in for my appointment they were apparently unaware of this. I was asked which bearing it could be and gave my best answer. I wasn t entirely sure which rear bearing it was so the women asked if I d like them to be verify, so I said sure. I wasn t told anything about a fee but expected that there may be a small one ($10-$20 at most) to figure out which bearing it was but was very surprised to get the bill and was CHARGED $50 to distinguish between the left and right bearing! Any other shop I ve ever been to would wave such fee if you get the work done by them, but not Alpine! With all this said, the wheel bearing is repaired, but I won t be coming back for more work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Brought my truck there to have a leaky brake line fixed. Courtney was super helpful. I was camping in the area and working remotely so I needed it done same day. She was able to squeeze me in despite a busy schedule. Beyond that, she offered to drive me to and pick me up from a coffee shop in town so I could get my work done while I waited for the truck to be fixed. Excellent customer service and speedy work. Definitely go with these guys if you need work done in the area!

I was in the middle of a 10hr drive back home when my car was giving me issues. I called them first thing in the morning (less than 5 minutes after opening) and explained what was going on. They told me to swing by the shop and they would at least take a look. An hour later, maybe a little more they fixed my problem and got me back on my way and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg. Super friendly and accommodating, would highly recommend!I would like to that Courtney especially being a part of this process and helping me out. She even reached out a couple days later just to check up on how things were holding up and if there were any issues after; there wasn't. I'm extremely thankful for these people and will use them again without hesitation if I ever need to along my route.

I had a somewhat unique problem with a somewhat unique car. It took a second time in the shop to completely fix the problem, but Jason honored his commitment to get it right. I had this car in to Alpine for another concern previously and was very pleased with their workmanship and professionalism. I trust them. These are good honest people and good mechanics. I recommend Alpine Auto Repair.

I purchased a used vehicle here in Michigan while on temporary assignment and needed a shop to go over it to rest my mind for the 800 mile trip home... and Alpine Automotive came through way above expectations. Their level of professionalism made me feel comfortable leaving the car with them.

Was in a bind, they squeezed me in and did not try to rip me off or sell me other products I don't need. Never had to go in at all and only $100 spent. Truck ran great and most surprised of all that the lady there text me the next day to make sure we were ok. Yes, would definitely recommend and would drive the extra hour just to have my vehicle serviced there

Second time I have had work done here. Called 5 different places in town to get quotes for headlight replacement on my 2012 Malibu (which are an absolute night are to replace), and don't know why I even asked around. Receptionist was kind and competent, got me in same day. My car was in and out in under an hour. Fast, friendly, amazing service. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for auto repair. 6/5 stars.

I use them for a significant amount of the work on my work trucks, and they never disappoint. The staff genuinely cares about the work they do and the people involved. Any major work I need on a personal vehicle, this would be my first choice. Sometimes hard to get scheduled in, but it's worth the wait if you aren't desperate.
