These guys were amazing!! They took my Subaru exhaust to a whole new level. She sounded so nice when I went and picked her up. I brought my parts in and they did the rest for me and did it the same day. Prices were lower than any where else that I checked. The quality of work was excellent as well as the way they treated me. They explained everything in detail and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. That's nice for a change. They called me when something was different that we had talked about to get a OK from me before doing anything. They showed me all the old exhaust that was on there and what not. She was a head turner from the time I pulled out with the after market rumble I was looking for. Couldn't recommend a better place for exhaust work. Thank you again for making my Subaru sound exactly the way I wanted.

Very pleased all the way around. What I thought would have been ungodly expensive at a dealership was fixed fast and a great price. Very friendly as well. I will definitely be bringing my vehicle's here in the future! Thank you so much!

First time going to this mechanic and have to say was impressed. Great people to have work on your car and very upfront about what they were doing. Saved me a bunch on repairing my exhaust that other shops would have just tried replacing. Thanks again guys

Brought my truck in and they told me the engine was done. That I had metal shavings in the oil. I bought a new car as it was better than paying $8K + for a rebuilt motor. This was about 2 years ago and the truck is still running awesome. Has pulled a trailor for 2 years, since then. Don't trust these ppl.

Quoted me and my wife about $300 for a rear break change on our 2015 subaru forester and then charged us almost $500 I'm not happy or impressed with the service or price with this company will not use againIf I could give 0 stars I would

I spent 2 months in Gaylord and had asked around about mechanics as I have a 2001 f250 diesel 7.3 and always want to know where I can take her if needed. Everyone recommended muffler man. The day before I left town I got an oil change and they told me my transmission line was bad. It was a Saturday at noon. Muffler Man closed at 1:00. Dominic got me in right away. It was just a bad hose clamp and he didn't charge me for the clamp his time or the half court of transmission fluid he taught me off with. Although it was brief, it was really great service and when I returned to Gaylord this will be my go-to mechanic. The shop was clean and everyone seemed friendly. It was very busy but you'll have that went offering a top quality service. Thanks Dominic!

Same day repair. Came in for a rattle and they noticed a safety issue which was fixed and on my way in less than an hour.

Great service great price. They fixed my car after being told $1200 to $2000 for exhaust repairs. These guys did a great job for 15% of the other estimates. Amazingly kind and honest. I'll be bringing my car back to MUFFLER MAN GAYLORD MICH.

What a great business. I'm a down stater. I was visiting for a couple of days and my brakes were locking that I just got repaired at a shop downstate. Luckily they were able to just lubricate, and they freed up.They actually charged me nothing to do this.!!Thank you much!

Amazingly nice people work here! I took my car for an estimate, they did some repairs that were immediate needs, and ordered parts. Refused to charge me for the work they had done already, which was such a kind thing to do. They could have just told me what needed to be done and charged me, but instead chose not to. This place has been recommended to me by several people and I see why!! Totally recommend Muffler Man in Gaylord!!!

They always treat me with respect and honesty. As a city-slicker I find it hard to be taken seriously in this town. These guys know what s up. Prices are great. TAKE HEED with the parking situation. You pull up, check in, and they ll call within a day or two. First-come, first-served.

This is a great shop all around. Real mechanics with a life of experience. Very friendly. It's a great mix of hardworking, good attitudes, and honest people! I would highly recommend this place over any other shop in there area. After all I'm from Petoskey and drive an hour to go here. It's hard to find trust worthy shops without stealership prices

A nice group of guys very professional but friendly. Thought I needed both you joints, nope, they only needed one replaced. and they even replaced my front shock that was under warranty from a different company. Very impressed will definitely go back if I ever need to.

Check engine light went on while we stopped for gas 1/2 way from Detroit to home in the UP. After trying two different auto repair shops we stopped here and they got us in under the estimated two hour wait. Checked everything and we were back on the road after a small repair. This place has excellent service. My wife and I were from out of town and just passing through Gaylord when our brakes starting acting weird. Since we were a long way from home in Illinois, we decided to get our brakes checked out at Muffler Man. We couldn't have been happier. They pulled our car in almost immediately and thoroughly inspected both the front and rear brakes.The mechanic noticed that we needed rear pads, but he didn't have them in stock. And since it was a Saturday, he couldn't get any till Monday at the earliest. He knew we were from out of town, so he told us we should be fine getting home. So he pulled the car back out for us and told us to get the brakes fixed as soon as we got home.I asked what the charges were for the inspection, and to my surprise he said "none". Less honest mechanics could've easily taken advantage of our situation.I highly recommend Muffler Man for their excellent service and honest approach to doing business. Other automotive shops should follow their lead. And if I'm ever in their neck of the woods again and need work done on my car, I'm going there.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Dominic. He was able to get my mother s car right in. Unfortunately the repair required a different service but he didn t even charge her for anything. He even let her car stay there until she could get it into another shop. I can t say enough about the customer service and generosity. Definitely recommend this shop and will be back!

I was in Gaylord Saturday by myself from Alpena when my car suddenly overheated downtown as I was on my way home. Muffler Man was thankfully a block away so I pulled in and I was so happy they were open! I explained what happened to the guys at the counter and they said they could take a look at it, they pulled my car in the garage right then. In a few minutes they told my my coolant tank had a crack so all the coolant had drained out. They called the parts store and thankfully they had a tank and brought it right down. The guys replaced it within 35 minutes and I was on my way home! Wonderful guys there, pleasant, friendly and I am forever grateful to them for dropping what they were doing and fixing my car so I could get home. You guys are the best! Thank you so so much!

Drove 4 hours north to visit some friends near Gaylord on a Friday, muffler blew apart on our truck and it was very loud and uncomfortable, called around and Muffler man said they have parts in stock and could get it done the next day (Saturday), dropped it off the next morning, fixed shortly after lunch!

I am from out of town. My starter was going out, and I could not afford to have it not start. I came in just before 8 am on a Monday and was out by 10 am with a new starter, new wipers, and a new oil change. All at a GREAT price! Amazing service and great value! We were traveling to Marquette and lost our tire just north of Gaylord. I called Muffler Man from the highway and had our Jeep towed there. The staff got us in right away, found a new rim and tire (on a Saturday), one staff member even volunteered his tire off his Jeep if they couldn't find one for mine. They made the repairs in a timely fashion and the price was very reasonable. We were back on the road in less than two hours. Our hats are off to these guys! Kind, courteous and very accommodating while we waited with our three year old grandson. I would recommend this establishment to anyone! Thank you all so much!!!!!!

Took my car in to get the exhaust put back on after it fell off. Cost me around $300 to have it put back on, a couple months later it fell back off. I told the guy that I was in there not long ago and yet I still had to pay(again) because they didn t do it right the first time. I ve let my co-workers and family know about this and I will not be using or recommending their services to anyone.Service: Exhaust
