My engine failed, just outside of Gaylord, at the start of my 3 hour drive home from vacation. The tow truck driver recommended J&C Auto Repair, and I am so thankful he did. The owner of J&C was very accommodating of our long distance situation and was great to work with as we tried to figure our options of what to do with the vehicle (ie fix there vs tow home to get fixed)! Definitely showed genuine heart for us!

I took my 2019 Ford to J&C to have my noisy exhaust system repaired. They verified with the Ford dealer that the repair I needed was covered with my powertrain warranty and provided all of my info to the Ford dealer making it easy for me to schedule the repair with Ford. I appreciate the honesty and J&C gets my vote for GOAT! I am a customer for life. Thanks.

We worked with Josh recently on our 2016 Chevy Silverado. Although we had only just met Josh, he took on our big engine job without a second thought and worked tirelessly to get our vehicle back to us during a time in our lives when we needed it for transportation the most. Josh is more than a skilled auto mechanic and local business owner; he is thoughtful, kind, and compassionate in the work and care he provides to his customers each and every day. I recommend him to any person who is looking for someone who will go the extra mile to get the job done right. Stopped in without appointment with a overheated brake. Josh the owner was not in but the guys went out of their way to take care of me.The guys were polite and got my issue resolved quickly. I understand all shops are booked out 2 weeks, my daughter lost her turn & brake lights, no other shop could look at it hoping it was a simple fix. Josh said bring it in at 4pm. This is the second time I've used J&C Automotive Service LLC. I would recommend them and take my cars there again for service.I had to have my labor intensive knock sensor components replaced on my 2005 Suburban. Due to undetermined parts issues, they replaced the knock sensor component(s) three times and ultimately ended up using OEM. They handled the warranty work very professionally and at no additional expense.On final inspection, they notice that my universal joints needed to be replaced, so I had them replace them before I got stranded somewhere out of cell phone range.Thanks so much.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Took my van to Josh with an electrical issue that didn't make any sense. He found the problem very quickly and charged accordingly. Electrical issues are a problem that a lot of mechanics could inflate the amount of time it actually took to figure out, not Josh. He's the most trustworthy mechanic I've run across in years. I thought I needed brakes and rotors, turned out just cleaning the drums and wheel bearing which cost was low and and quite a great bargain considering I wasnt even charged for the drums being cleaned! There's a reason why this place receives such great reviews because they deserve and represent it very well. Josh was great, got me in and out and my Jeep drives smoother!! What a difference.Many thanks!

Great service, friendly, very knowledgeable and fair priced...I had an electrical issue that was sporadic and when I got to J&C the issue wasn't acting up or showing any signs. Josh didn't stop, after trying many test options he was able to locate the problem. It was a two week old alternator that was acting ok 95% of the time. Hats off to this real and professional mechanic. If you are in need of auto care, I recommend him without hesitation

Very, Very friendly affordable and very time efficient! In and out in a matter or 45 minutes.I was traveling from the U.P, had a major oil leak and after trying 2 popular brand automotive shops who wouldn't even look at my jeep, J&C guys got me all fixed up!!In record time!Will definitely keep them in mind for future automative needs when traveling down this way and would recommend them to anyone around the area!!

Took my car to J&C Automotive to get some serious work done to my daily driven vehicle. I drive 1 hour to work one way and wanted quality people to work on my car. I didn t hesitate to take my vehicle to J&C! All said and done I have nothing but great things to say. Vehicle is back to driving like brand new and I m back to not stressing about what needed fixed. 10/10, I would recommend J&C Automotive to anybody and everybody. Affordable, quick, professional, and all around outstanding experience!!!

Great Service, Highly Recommended!!I had a power steering pump failure while traveling I-75. I was towed to their shop and arrived at about 9:30am. They got me right in and learned during removal that the pressure hose and idler pulley was damaged during the pump failure.They were able to get us fully repaired and black on the road by 2pm. All with amazing customer service.If we ever need automotive repairs again in the Gaylord area this is where we will go.

Lifesaver! I was from out of state driving to the Upper Peninsula when my power steering pump basically exploded causing the timing belt to pop off and get all chewed up and the engine to start over heating. With my car being European and not American we had to stay overnight and wait for the part to arrive, but the owner of the shop was very nice and when we first came into his driveway it was a little after 5pm and he was heading to his car to go home. I quickly told him my predicament after talking to the people at Advance Auto Parts across the street they recommended I go to him. He was kind enough to check on my car and see what was wrong and what parts to order. By the time he was able to go home it was around 8pm and I was really appreciative of him for staying so late otherwise we would've been stranded. After he fixed the car we were back on our way and I haven't had any issues with the power steering pump and its been almost a whole year.

Just take your vehicle here! I blew a brake line on 75 at 4pm on the Friday before Memorial Day. The crew took my truck in and worked late to get me back on the road. You can't put a price on that. Amazing people!

I had a front wheel bearing replaced , Just want to say they are professional, very knowledgeable , and especially since I worked midnights , I gave a cap that I was willing to go and boom fixed !!Will definitely have all future repairs done here

GUYS THERE ARE GREAT ! I LIVE 200 MILES AWAY WAS UP BY ONAWAY RIDING WITH MY SONS WHEN FUEL PUMP WENT OUT IN MY OLD 1992 F150 IN WATERS .THEY TOOK TIME OUT OF THERE BUSY SCHEDULE AND STAYED AFTER OURS THE SAME NIGHT TO GET US BACK HOME .WHEN LIKE EVERYONE ELSE WANTS TO GO HOME AFTER WORKING ALL DAY I SUGGEST DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM I WOULD AGAIN
