Don't trust them. They Did a good job on the new radiator they replaced but asked for a brake checkup and quote since it was a new to me vehicle. Quoted over 700 so I decided to do them myself. Brakes pads and rotors looked practically new.

I took my car for repairs last week, it should be done tomorrow?Only thing is, I was told it was being worked on yesterday morning. But I went by in the afternoon and it was still parked outside, however just before they closed I went there to get something out of it,and it was in the shop. I'D rather be told the truth,instead of being mislead. Truth is always Best.

Exceptional service, and a very honest and careful diagnostic of our daughters car that was acting very strange! The owner was very thoughtful and took a lot of time and care to figure out what was wrong, and was then kind enough to tell our daughter to stop by his shop if it was doing anything strange again, and to ask her to come back at a certain mileage to have the car checked again to make sure that everything was working properly on it. This is our teenage daughter s car, and the thoughtful care he gave it thinking of her needs, and her safety were exceptional!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Was broken down several hours from home and needed emergency service. The wrecker dropped my car off at Affordable Auto and I was definitely not disappointed. Diane provided me a courtesy transport into town while Pat immediately looked at my car, even though he was probably busy for the day. A repair was made in just a few hours and I did not have to be stuck away from home overnight. They truly cared about my situation and I was happy with the results.

Took my car the read the engine light to replace 02 filters quoted a price of over $500, didn't have fixed, took back a couple weeks later, now they say the engine error code reads I need a new muffler will be $2000 to fix. Never going back, they are out to drain you dry, besides they had my car for four days before letting me know what was wrong and my car gained 28 miles!

Had an appointment at the VS Hospital in Saginaw on Wednesday and my SUV had problems on Monday night. Pat took it in Tuesday and I had it back Tuesday night. Great service and fair prices. This is my second time there and everything has always been a positive experience. Thanks Pat and a special thanks to Diane,a great chauffeur when needed.

Terrible business ethics took vehicle for alignment. Pat said it cant be done do to some loose parts. Went to pick up vehicle and he wanted 65$ to diagnose the issue although there was nothing done to the vehicle. After an argument with him I decided to just pay the 65$ and get out. Will never take a vehicle back there nor will I ever recommend anyone to go there. Tried to support local but turns out he's just there to screw people over.

The maintenance was good, 4 days later than they said it would be done. They did not check for parts locally. I found the part locally the first place I called.So the owner ended up irritated and yelled alot. He would not explain the billing. I will no longer do business there. What a shame, I liked him till he blew a gasket himself.

I had several new car inspections done here! I only search for vehicles that are aesthetically pleasing, but I honestly never know how good the bones of the vehicle are. I took upwards of 5 vehicles to affordable auto to check out, with almost frustration that every cute, clean vehicle was a mess mechanically. I was so happy when I finally found one that was nice on the outside and mechanically and physically sound! Thanks to Pat he gave me leverage to wheel and deal with the dealerships based on what he found wrong with the vehicles. I recommend them hands down to anyone looking for a used vehicle! Get it inspected by Pat first!

Pat has always treated me fairly. I've been to several shops in Gaylord, and he is hands down the best to work with. Regarding the reviews that say they've received rude service - these are some of the kindest people that I've ever worked with.

this is my 2nd time bringing another vehicle to Affordable Auto Repair. The staff is very friendly. They went out of their way to make sure that my visit was the best. Even Pats wife offered to drive me home and pick me up to make sure that i was safe and taken care of. thank you for all your hard work. Im looking forward to doing more business with you for all my mechanical needs

Terrible experience. Was quoted 60$ for an alignment not even 30 minutes after dropping it off he called me to tell me he can t do it due to other parts needing replaced. Go to get the vehicle and wants to charge me 65$ and didn t even touch it! Also, yelled at me as well. Do not recommend come to period.

Beware of this guy, he is a crook. If you show any signs of knowing nothing about cars he will take advantage of you. This meaning he will add work that doesn t need to be done. Dateline needs to secret shop this A-hole, he a complete thief.My Girlfriend brought her car to this guy for an overheating issue and the interior heat would not work. He tells here that the water pump needs changing and specifies this as if it will solve the overheating issue and while they are in there he should change the timing belt. . She agrees not knowing anything about cars and here impression is that it will fix the car. We also had a thermostat, so we had him put it in. The damage was over $650. We get the car back and its doing the same exact thing as before. We return the car and his excuse is the Thermostat is defective it will be $100 more to replace the thermostat. I disagree and tell him he should fix the issue being that we just paid him to fix it and its not fixed. He says I can t warranty a part that you did not purchase from us. Ok, so then right there he tells me that the thermostat was the issue the entire time. He agrees and says that maybe, but the car needed these other parts changed. I say, that maybe, but it does not fix the issue at hand. He agrees again. I verified this by taking the car to Honda, and they diagnosed the issue as a bad head gasket. This was the first thing she suggested to him, but he disagreed. He diagnosed the car incorrectly 2 different times. We had to eat the parts and labor because of his mistake. Horrible person this Pat guy is who is also the owner.Another review posted on Ripoffreport specifies that another gentleman brought his own parts in and he forgot to tighten the Valve cover bolts. Its sounds like this guy purposely savatages cars when you bring your own parts. This way you have to come back, and he s pist that he doesn t get to mark up his parts on you, and he knows that he doesn t have to warranty the work. This guys shop is a joke.

The guy is a total rip-off took my car there for service to save money from the ford dealer he ripped me off on parts not needed for over $500. The car did not make it home. ,ended up at Ford dealer to fix it. he is a total crook. When I confronted him he basically said too bad I can't help you. but he keep my money...never again please don't get screwed like me. STAY AWAY FROM HIM

Hidden jem in Gaylord. Very friendly and there mechanics have been there for 18 years and counting. Definatly a shop worth checking out. Keep ordering dominos guys we will keep you moving as you have us

I was stuck 4 hours away from home and they were the only shop I called that was willing to get me in to get the problem diagnosed. Went here for the free brake inspection and and when I chose not to get the work done there I was charged a $60 lift fee . Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Go elsewhere!

He lied to me saying I needed Power steering lines and serpentine belt got it checked out by somebody else don't need either one of those i only need a $23 part and he was going to charge me $500 for parts/labor that weren't even broke!!!!

Awesome repair shop !! Our truck broke down on a Friday had it fixed by Monday morning. If I lived in town they would be my mechanic of choice.

This guy is a Cranky Old Man & OVER Charges on time... Quotes 2x the hours than any other shop in Gaylord SHAME ON YOU Time to retire if u can't handle the work like the other shops!
