DONT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! Owner had nasty attitude since day 1 should ve never left my car there. Anyways my car was in their parking lot for 4 days after being worked on (closed on weekends Sat & Sun) so couldn t pick up until Monday. When I came to get my car my bumper & headlights were stolen, wires cut. Whole front end gone!!! Owner is an old bitter man & said that my car wasn t his responsibility!!!! He showed no sympathy at all or even tried to come up with a reasonable solution! Just blew me off!! Their parking lot isn t gated or their cameras don t cover the whole parking lot to watch over ALL their customer cars which sounds like an inside job cause that s pretty convenient right? SEE YALL IN COURT, they probably won t be in for business long! I m a business owner myself & would never treat someone like this when their belongings are in my possession!!!

Been going here for years spent so much money at this place and they refused to work on my vehicle because I couldn t wait 2-4 days to have my vehicle returned to me so I went somewhere else to have my car serviced. Sam and Brian were very rude and extremely unprofessional! Will never go back to Akron ever again!People have to work!!! Talking about wasting time you re wasting my time with holding my vehicle for 2-4 business days! If I can go purchase the parts myself and have someone else do the work that makes more sense then having to wait that amount of time! This was a simple fix that took no longer than an hour to do! And both of y all were definitely rude! Learn how to communicate better with your customers that been coming to you for YEARS! You don t take a restocking fee out on me because I simply went somewhere else? I have spent WAY TOO much MONEY to be treated like that SAM and BRIAN!!!!You re literally running a business talking about cutting ties with a customer lol. Any other professional business would had understood why I made the decision I did!!! Y all don t know how to run a PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS AT ALL!!!! PROFESSIONALISM LEARN HOW TO DO IT!!!!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!!!! The attitude comes from y all not getting that $530 from me. Be honest to where the unnecessary rudeness came FROM!!!!!

I was recommended to go here by a good friend of mine who is a mechanic. I went to get new tires and was able to on the same day. The woman working the desk was friendly and helpful. She explained everything to me and gave me multiple options. The service was smooth and fast. I will recommend Akron to anyone I know who is looking for tires.

I used their service a few times now and am very satisfied. They're friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and very reasonable priced. They explained in detail what was happening with my vehicle, gave me options, and it went as explained. Hopefully I won't have to return to soon, but if needed they're my first pick. I also needed a spare tire and rim for my old utility trailer, and they dug thru, and found what I needed, totally a happy camper! 10/07/2022So I didn't need any mechanic work done or brakes or anything like that, this time I did have a tire that needed to be repaired. They got me in and out in pretty good time the price was fair. What I was amazed at was how very busy they were, which speaks volumes to how much business they're doing which again speaks volumes to how good they are and their clientele if they're that busy they must be doing something right! Lastly, they've been in business for decades another sign that they're doing things right...1/9/24Brought my daughter in today, rim leaks on her 19 Taurus. But she had 2 worn tires, again options. Repair, or new, it a really sweet deal on a pair of used... We were in and out. My daughter is comfortable now, to return on her own for any future need, and find comfort in that... Trust

I ordered my tires online, and had Akron install them.30 minutes later they were perfectly installed and I was ready to go.That's about 4 hours quicker than the Big Chain tire stores were quoting me for installation time.I would not go anywhere else.

The proprietor is a gruff hard talking individual, who speaks harshly. However he is honest and straightforward. They do great work in a timely fashion ata fair price. Quick tire repair done safely and professionally. They offer new and used tires as well as a full line of suspension repairs.

I have been taking my cars here for years. For the most part it has been positive. My last two visits were not good. Last week I took my 2014 Chev Cruz in for a squeal/chirp with or without A/C on, oil change, two new tires. They were busy and it took three days. They replaced the serpentine belt and changed oil. When I got it back it still had the same squeal/chip. I called and asked if they drove my car and the front desk lady said yes. Well, I said if they drove it or listened while it was idling they would have heard it. Last year I had the valve cover gasket replaced due to an oil leak. When that was done I noticed that it seems liked the gasket was pushed out too much. I called and they said it should be fine.Yesterday, Idecided to take my car somewhere else and it turns out I DID NOT need the serpentine belt replaced. It was the valve cover gasket, cover, and PCV again.So, I wasted some my money on a needless repair. I will not be taking my cars here anymore.

Prices are good, the people are honest, and they are much more expedient than Discount Tire. I have 7 cars and I now take all of them here. If you don't want to wait an hour and a half at Discount Tire for a rotation just for them to find some small arbitrary flaw in the tire and say that they can't work on it unless you buy at least 1 new tire, then go to Akron and save yourself the headache. I got a set of 80,000 mile tires at half the price of what Discount wanted for 50,000-mile tires.

Super honest folks here. I went to 3 other local tire places and they all told me my tire was irreparable and I'd have to buy a new tire. Akron had my tired plugged and I was on the road in less than 10 minutes. I'll only use and recommend Akron tire to all my friends, family and followers! Honesty truly is the best policy. Thanks Akron! I appreciate you!

I brought my flat tire here this morning and they had it fixed and back on the car in 10 mins. They are fast, friendly and very affordable! Highly recommend!

Really great service! Car is less than a year old and had a tire leak. Another place told me I'd have to replace the tire completely. Called Akron and spoke with Sam and asked if he could patch it up. He showed me where the leak was, and my options and his recommendation to plug it, and let me watch and learn. Took ten bucks to fix it instead of a couple hundred to replace it elsewhere. Good humor, honest service, great price, and quick! I was in and out in less than 20 mins. What more can you ask for?

Fast service, friendly and honest staff. I really liked the fact that they don't try to overcharge you. They fixed the problem with the tire on my car for $20 (part and labor). I highly recommend this place.

I ve been going to Akron tire since the 90 s Sam and his crew have always been great honest helpful people this incident happened yesterday dropped my car off thinking I had a bad bearing waited over a week to get it taken care of and turned out to be fine no charge after taken a look at it really appreciate the honesty and integrity they ve been around a long time and this is why I d recommend them to anyone

I had a bolt in my tire. Omg I love this place now. Lady at the counter is nice we had nice talk. Then I spoke to Sam about the issues my SUV is having. He treated me like a person I will be dropping it off on Monday. I am very Happy with the fast service and this will be my nee car/ Tire place.

Omg!!!! Akron Tire Co was one of the best searches google has helped me while rushing for work. My tire pressure was an 8. Walked in and I was greeted, they had me pull right in with no wait time, and took them less than 20 minutes. All around amazing service!!!

I had them mount and balance some bias-ply tires that I had to special order from Coker Tire for my 1930 5 Window Coupe Streetrod on my Centerline Wheels which I purchased from them back in the 80's. The tires looked like they may not of been wide enough to fit my wheels but Sam took the time measure my wheel and to dismount my old tires and try the new tires which did just barely fit. The balance was way off on one the new tires and he took care of that too. Very nice people to deal with. Took care of me right away, no waiting. They answer all your questions too.

Great experience. It's not many tire places you can find these days that know how or care enough to carefully mount and properly balance large diameter custom wheels without maring the finish or using the wrong wheel weights. Sam was top notch! We'll be back for sure.

I will never ever go to this place again the customer service was horrible!! When I arrived I was told there would a 15 min. which was fine so I waited outside in my car. When the car that was ahead of me finished I pulled right up to the bay and went inside to pay.In the mean time he took another person ahead of me. And when I asked why he said "I didn't know where you were and I not chasing customers around to find them. I explained that I was parked exactly where the person before me was parked. He said I would have to wait for them to finish the other car. I wouldn't have written this review had he been nicer, I know mistakes happen but there were No apologies and be was very RUDE. I just left because I refuse to spend my money with people who treat me poorly.

Now I should've rated them a while ago when I got my gas lines replaced on my Saturn Ion, however, I completely forgot and truth be told I'm happy I remembered as I was provided an excellent service for the amount of money I paid. Let's begin with the only bad experience I had with them; they fixed my mirror which fell off by literally just screwing it back in the socket with 3 screws and charged me $10, now I could've done that myself but I expected him to fix it correctly with something that conceals the 3 apparent screws sticking out of the mirror. Now, that was my bad experience with this place, but everything else was exceptional, and I cannot recommend these folks enough. First I needed my Saturn Ion's gas lines replaced, I got some quotes from other car shops near me, and they all was around $500 which I thought was normal for what I was getting done, but I am happy I called other shops in my area. Akron takes my car, and the older man was pleasant and nice. Honestly, he made me chuckle, and I'm happy for the experience. He fixed my gas lines and replaced the metal lines with plastic lines which he said was much better for my 2006 car, now honestly, I don't know whether or not they are, but I do believe he was telling the truth. He fixed my car for a merely $220 which made me blissful as I saved a lot of money while also getting a quality job done on my car. I cannot recommend these guys enough if you are looking for a quality job done on your vehicle.

I had my vehicle serviced there for an alignment, oil change/filter along with a transmission fluid change and had my right side inner and upper tie rods looked at. They said it would take a day to look at everything but it ended up being almost 3.5 days and they hadn't looked at until the last few hours of day 3. Come to find out I was told I need to replace all tie rods which was no issue but then needed new ball joints on my driver side. I made sure to ask if that was the only thing that needed replacement and they assured me it's just ball joints and what was listed for service. I went along and had them fix what was suggested with Moog parts rather than OEM as Moog has a lifetime warranty and built as well as OEM. Now, thinking this would be a warrantied fix --Flash forward 2 months later I had called and spoke to the manager/assistant regarding loud humming and grinding noises coming from my driver side wheel when driving as it is unsafe to drive in the conditions presented. They said bring it in and we will have you in front of the line as this should be a quick look and assessment and go from there. The following day, I told the manager I'm here for my appointment and surely enough there almost 1.5/ 2 weeks behind and I was put at the back of the line and also was told tp wait almost a full week AND there may be more issues within wheel base which would need repairs with added costs. This is what upsets me because these "new" issues could have been fixed in the beginning. I personally would not have your vehicles serviced here as they treat it as a pawn game and they'll waste your time and take your money. I'm not for one to write a review but when you invest your hard earned money for a company that comes so highly recommended and this happens, it is disappointing because it is hard to find a "trusted" mechanic shop.
