Professional, with transmission work done to my satisfaction and with upgrades. One month afterwards that i'm writing this review, there have been no issues with rebuilt transmission.

I called around to multiple places, asked a "simple" question, how much to rebuild a 62te transmission (bench rebuild). They gave me an actual price, stuck by their price, and it is working great. They also still honor their warranty, which 9 out of 10 places will not do if you do the labor yourself. A+ in my book!

This place is nothing but a rip off they replaced my transmission. I told them it still wasn t right they looked at it. Mark said that it was driving fine and hooked it up to a box for some codes that didn t even have anything to do with my transmission. Then a few months later, my fly wheel goes out which has to do with the transmission which he just replaced and now he s telling me he wants $600 to replace that. How am I supposed to pay for something that I didn t break it has something to do with transmission. It s funny how it s actually $1100 job and he s willing to do it for six and then my air I gave it to him my air-conditioning and it doesn t fully work and barely blows out and he tells me that s not his fault. Either I drive a 2016 Ford escape. I should not be having these kind of problems after he had fix that. I ve had many mechanics tell me that I have to do with him changing my transmission am I fly Wheel not have broken half this guy is nothing but a rip off artist I recommend nobody to go to him you ll just have problems and he won t fix it. He ll just keep charging you more and more money to fix itService: Transmission

Had the trans rebuilt in my silverado, they upgraded my torque converter as well, they did a great job my truck rides like brand new, shifts like brand new. Very friendly people here, im completely satisfied. Cost was very fair as well. If you have a transmission issue these guys are the ones to come to.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! Mark is the MOST unprofessional business person you could ever deal with. Our car was there for FOUR WEEKS and he never bothered to look at it. Even after multiple phone calls, he didn't look at it. One time, he put my husband on hold and NEVER came back to the phone. What kind of business owner does this? There is no excuse. If that is the way he treats his customers, he doesn't deserve your business. He has lost our entire family's business now. Don't take a chance! BEWARE!!!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Just got my 2014 Ford Focus back from them today. Had my transmission rebuilt after a gear broke free and broke right through the trans casing. Apparently it was one of the worst they have seen. Mark showed me the damage and gave me a rundown of what had happened. Nonetheless, the car runs like brand new again. Mark, Joe, and the entire shop were professional, friendly, and the cost was surprisingly respectful for the nightmare I put them through. Listen, this place is one of very few that can rebuild your transmission and ALSO reprogram the computer in the transmission if your car requires that need. I find that to be extremely important if you are someone who doesn't want to bring your vehicle to the dealership. The parts the shop uses are OEM parts from what I understand so there may be a situation where your parts may be on back order so be patient. Obviously my parts came from Ford. My car was in the shop for roughly two weeks but the wait was well worth it. The job was done right and it wasn't rushed. Support local shops and take your car to Clem's! Friendly customer service, accurate about when I would receive my vehicle in return and no issues with transmission afterward. I would recommend them. They rebuilt a 2007 Ford Expedition 6 speed trans for me.

I highly recommend Clems - these guys are great! 100% honest and fair, never had any problems with the work they have done on any of my cars. When they rebuilt the transmission in my 1961 Chrysler Imperial - which is a difficult and rare transmission - they had it done quickly and at a VERY fair price!!!

Nice people. But, even better mechanics. Dealt with Mark & Jeffrey a couple of times now. They rebuilt a trans for me on a 2004 Taurus. Runs great. Heads up, if you want instant service then I recommend going to a shop that nobody else wants to go to.

Parking is tight and it may take a day to get to your vehicle. But businesses that do good work stay busy.They do good honest work ,got my truck back running smooth and didn't try to do anything unnecessary.Will definitely use them again.

This transmission shop is the best around by far. They fixed my vehicle for a fair rate, in a timely manner, with high quality materials installed by expert professional mechanics. I would recomend this business to anyone.

They worked on my 02 Ford Taurus a year ago and transmission 30k miles later transmission is still good. They had to replaced a few pieces every other shop was trying to replace the whole trans for double the price. After shopping around nearly every other shop was trying to sell me another trans after Clem's looked at it they that wasn't even the problem, but a part related to the transmission was. If I choose someone else I could have went through a couple transmissions, like many people do with this model and not have my problem fix. Thank you Clem's.

Took my boyfriend's Jetta in for a fuel flush, done in a day, no worries. Decided to drop off my Scion for new brakes since their price was good. Dropped it off Friday, and Mark tells me, "It'll probably be done Saturday." Great.I waited all day Saturday and finally called. "I'll call you back in an hour and let you know," he says. He also informs me that the listed number is his cell phone. So, no call back. This was well within business hours, as listed on Google. Called Sunday, no answer.Called Monday right as they open. I am told they will call me back in an hour with an update. The hell? So I wait 2 1/2 hours. Finally I call back. They tell me the parts will be coming in the door "any minute". I ask if I can pick the car up today, Mark says yes.I will update when/if I get my car back. I work for a living and this is unacceptable, given that this mechanic has my only transportation.UPDATE: Car was finished same day as this review, and it was less expensive than I thought. Really a headache trying to call like that though. I'll update my review to 2 stars since I did get my car after pushing.

I took my sedan there for a transmission pan replacement. They were really friendly and explained farther what other issues the car has the price wasn t expensive either. I ll always bring my car here for any transmission issues.

called to get a rough idea at what it would cost to get my wife's transmission repaired was quoted a fair price, asked how long it would take before she could get it back was told by friday got my phone call on Thursday, it was all done. When i went to pay for it the cost was a little less then i was quoted, and the transmission is all good... thank you guys for being honest... and doing good work....

I took my took my 99' ford to them to have a transmission put in, and took them about a week to even start on it and when I finally got it back they gave me a bad transmission that was even worst then what was even in it to begin with and I took it back to them and took them about another week and a half to have it fixed and they didn't put a seal on the transmission that was supposed to be replaced and I told them that it wasn't leaking when I took it to them and they said they didn't cause it and when I took it to a different shop to have it look at they told me that it was leaking cuz a seal wasn't replaced on it. I called Clem's and told them that caused the leak and they told me they had nothing to do with it and without saying anything else they hung up the phone. So I now have to pay another $700 for the seal to get replaced all because they can't do their job right. I don't think I should have to pay for their mistakes that they cause! I will never take any of my cars to Clem's anymore, they are unreliable and do a half ass job at what they do! I will never recommend that place to anyone, I will tell everyone to stay away from that place just to save them the trouble.

I would highly recommend clems to anybody that has any problem with there vehicle. I have a 1979 C10 that has a 2000 engine and transmission swap out of a 2000 Z28 i live near Alpena and was basically grounded in Sterling Heights without a vehicle for amost 3 weeks taking it to various shops nobody wanted to mess with it. I took it to Clems they took care of me quickly and efficiently. Turns out it was just a map sensor Transmission was shifting very hard every place i took it told me it was the accumulator and didnt even want to work on it. GO FIGURE? Clems got me in right away and fixed the problem quickly at a very reasonable price. Thanks clems you probably saved my job as my employer was getting a little fed up.

My only problem was the fact that they do not call you, for some strange reason they feel like you have to call them. Other than that I still haven't got my car they had it for 2 weeks today but I have faith they know what's right and the work will be done in Jesus name AmenRESPONSE TO OWNERIn what part of me saying I have faith in you all knowing what's right, bashing? I have to trust in you all's work to know that I'm safe on the road. My apologies for yesterday, I was a tad bit excited and walked in with a smile for it to turn into a frown when a simple phone call would have changed the whole outcome. I took my 2001 Chevy Silverado there for a new trans. They are friendly and did I an awesome job. Very fast. I will I be bringing in my 2002 Ram for a trans soon.

4 days after my trans went these guys have me back on the road working. I was given a price and time that they would be done and they were on time without a price increase. I so grateful I found a honest shop!

I have a 5 speed eclipse another shop wanted $3000 for a new trans then i took it to clems, took little while for parts to come in but when i picked her up she ran great and it was a great price! Highly recommend clems

I asked for them to rebuild my daughters transmission, I bought it in Friday evening, it was ready Monday, , I kept hearing noises, I kept bringing it back they said there was nothing wrong, how could you rebuild a Transmission in one day, you are closed Sunday, I paid $1600 it ran one year, I would never go hear again, the last shop I took my car to in Roseville Pearson's Auto is no longer in business he scammed everyone the city of Rosville took his house, camper, boat, bankaccount and put him in jail they ripped me off, I paid $1600 for a rebuild but he put a used transmission in my car, the city of Roseville gave me back $800,Clems ripped me off also, alot off mechanics are scammers they either put a used one in or just parts, hard to trust mechanics . Horrible service I took it back 3 time , nothings wrong,one year warranty, my daughter called and said my car won't move, make sure you tell any shop , I won't you to rebuild the transmission, or won't a rebuilt transmission there is a difference installed, a rebuilt transmission is took apart cleaned with new parts installedService: Transmission
