I blew the motor in my equinox back in November. Once I got my vehicle towed to the shop, Kevin got right on it and got the new one ordered, and installed pretty much as soon as it showed up. I don t think I can say enough good things about Scherer performance. Great work, great prices and great people!

They have always done great work!!! Never have said I need more than what I need. Which means a lot when every other place takes advantage of the situation when your a woman just trying to get your car to run right and they have done that. Thank you for such good guys to help an old lady out.It means so much not to be taken advantage of ! Great people!

My car s engine light came on in Fowlerville when commuting from Whitmore Lake to Lansing. I urgently found Scherer and left my car to be diagnosed. The entire team was supportive, professional, knowledgeable and they did not charge me for anything after they spent their time and effort helping to diagnose the problem. Will 100% be coming back for any future auto work and repair. Thank you again!

I've been bringing my car to this shop for 11 years and I have brought in many different makes and models with many different issues and I have always gotten quick, reliable and affordable service on my car. They have never tried to get more money out of me or get one over on me or swindle me like many other places have tried. It is an incredibly honest shop with incredibly honest workers. And with the new owner taking over the only big difference I have noticed is the change in the sign outside. I am getting the same quality service that I have always received at the shop. I drive over an hour round trip to know that my car will get reliable service even if it's just for something as simple as an oil change because I know that my vehicle is safe and it's safe to put my children in.4/2023 - They are still doing quality work!

If you want great service go to Midtown. Jim is very professional and has worked on plenty of my vehicles for about 4 years. Very honest about everything your car does need or doesn't need. I've recommended all of my friends and family to go here because of the excellent service. Earns 5 stars easily and will always have my buisneess

Jim is honest as the day is long. The shop is professional, gives great service and has very fair prices. I happened upon him when my headlights suddenly stopped working several years ago when I was visiting a friend in the Lansing area. I live 45 miles away, but there is no one I trust more to take care of all my vehicles.

As a Smart Car owner it is hard to find a good mechanic. Just by chance I found Jim and his crew. I have had the car in for service and oil changes. They are honest, give good service at a fair price. I will be using them for all of my auto maintence and repairs. Thanks Jim.

These guys are too notch! Since I know absolutely nothing about cars, for the first time ever, I truly did NOT feel taken advantage. I was treated with respect and they took the time to explain things. What needs to be now, what can wait what to look for. Highly recommended!

Seal on my power steering pump started leaking they had replaced the power steering pump and the lines about 6 months ago and I was having a bad luck streak. my wifes car bunt down after catching fire. my shingles blew off my Roofduring a storm all in the same week. Midtown stood behind their work and fixed everything for free and had me back on the road the same day. Within 3 hours of me taking it there. They will not use aftermarket parts because too many times they go bad so they use dealer parts. But from my story you can see its worth the extra money. The power steering pump on my f150 is hard to get at.
