Transmission went out on my 2017 Chevy Silverado. Had it towed over to Semmens and 5 days later back on the road. Only thing i didn't like was they up charge for using a debit card over cash. Didn't have time to make it to bank and needed my truck.

Better prices than other autoshops. They offer a transportation to take you home and back, which is a rare and valuable service. They will inform you if you didn't need something so high integrity. Recommended.

Guy I talked to on phone. Told me exactly what was wrong with my transmission. After putting few hundred dollars into it. And not the $7000.00 like others quoted. Problem fixed and was able to go on our vacation of over 2000 miles. No Problems. Very Honest company. You don't get that often.

They are honest fair efficient what you see is what you get they are a Christian organization and my mother went there for years for an oil change . Their a full service auto center family owned .

Broke down 2 hours away, towed it in and they fixed my transmission in less than 48 hours. Good as new and great price!

these guys are great, not only do they run a clean cut business whatever they say is the lowest possible price they can give it to you for but they also have a nice supply of moped/scooters. I paid $1,195 and at the very same website they cost more than that so you're getting a better deal if you go through these guys. And that they're already put together and mine had 1.7 mi on it so you're getting it brand new engine 2021 moped / scooter and they purl like a kitten and they have all kinds of different colors to choose from I think pink is a little bit more.

Got honesty from the Lady at the front desk . She saved me alot of money . Great ppl and if they are that honest the work has to be great was referred by 3 different ppl . Thanks for being honest it's hard to find .

Pump seal was leaking on my transmission short bus, my boyfriend was going to start the long process of taking it out himself but I was like is there somewhere that will do it for a reasonable price that way you don't have to get squished because it is sooo heavy. Called Semmens and they said they would for 500 bucks. That sounded very reasonable so we took it off jack stands, but after running into a problem last year with alignments and the dealership saying they could and then backing out the last minute because it was a bus we made sure to double check, called again and said "it is a short BUS" is that going to be an issue? They said no, so we made the half hour journey out there with the cover off the engine to make it easier for them to get to the transmission but making it an incredibly warm ride over to the shop. Only to get there and have them say, we can't work on that it's a bus. Awesome

Sloppy work. had to go in after them on my own truck... bolts missing and loose. had to return to their shop 3 times twice on a tow truck. still pretty much had to argue to get them to stand behind their work (that wasnt very good anyway) and had to pay.

I ve used these people on number of occasions for different work. My warranty on transmission was over yet they installed a new transmission only charged me labor this time. Can t say enough good about them

Took my truck in as it was running very ruff. A guy came out said he would test drive it. I explained it wouldn't go over 30mph. He said ok and came walking back 20 min later.he told me I was on my own and the truck was across the street in the neighborhood. I will never go there again. Commercials say they have a tow truck but they refused to help me. traveling through Michigan, I thought I had some major transmission problems. The car would go into gear but felt like it was about to slip right back out. Was prepared for a huge repair bill on something just out of warranty. They got my car in immediately and drove me and my family to a friends. I got a call an hour later saying my shift cable was seized and wouldn t move by hand. They replaced it same day and I was back on the road. They are respectful, courteous, polite and kept me updated throughout. It is refreshing to come across a small business as honest as they were with me. I can t say enough good about them and wish them the very best. My family and I are sincerely thankful. Highly recommend if you re in that area, I wish they were closer to where I live out of State!

The people at Semmens always take care of my car, quickly and at very reasonable prices. I've had more than one occasion where the cost was much less than I expected! 2023 update:. Still the best around, always reliable and affordable, and the work is done right

This is a great place to get your work done on a car. They specialize on transmissions but they'll do pretty much anything... They also have scooters / mopeds in the summer and I looked and looked all over the internet and you're going to pay at least $1,800 If you go there it's already put together for one thing That's a big deal because you have to put on the front tire and the brakes and all kinds of stuff if you order it online and it's also very very handy that they have it already put together and it's not like it has a lot of miles on it You're getting a 2021 moped/scooter with one mile on it some of them don't even have one mile on it. mine had 1.7 mi. And their price is $1,195

Great place, very professional, and fair rates. Wasn't just another number, explained everything in detail. Just a very personal touch to it. Took my car to muffler man on Jennings Rd. They had my car 3 days and had not touched it. Lied to me several times about waiting on parts and about processing my warranty claim. I drove away with my car and took it to Semmens at 8 AM the next day, the called me back by noon, had my car diagnosed, parts and ready to go just needed my permission to go ahead with the work. I've been dealing with Semmens transmission since 2014. I thought that they were a reputable business, but I see they're not willing to pay for their own errors. I had them rebuild the rear end on my truck, the truck was stored for over 3 years with very minimal driving. And one day a pin came loose in the rear end which locked my rear end up, and then when I tried to drive it it blew my transmission. I called Semmens transmission after I had another mechanic tell me what happened, payed$150 to have it towed to Semmens transmission. Only to have them deny responsibility for what happened. They will not back up their work if it cost them one penny. Never go here. Please learn from my loss!Update: the owner has feebly attempted to explain why he did not honor his work. I've talked with numerous other transmission shops and nobody has ever heard of there being a problem with pins breaking in the rear ends of dodges on a regular basis. Furthermore since semmens transmission is aware of these pins failing why would they not have replaced the pin while they were rebuilding the rear end?The owner's response, which you can see for yourself, demonstrates their incompetence, dishonesty, and their greed. Selina, Jazz, JR you guy's rock. I've been coming here for year's. When I say that my family here has always taken. Good care of my car's, they did just that. And to the rest of the team here, I wouldn't trade you all for another facility. To take my car to. Semmens will always have my business.

I appreciate the professionals at Semmens TransmissionI was told one price about my transmission lines and they brought me out to see the issue. Took me to let me grab some food before working on my car.And before finishing my car He said it wasn't as bad as he originally quoted me. He's charging me about $125.00 less and in half of the time he quoted. And they didn't take advantage of me because I am a woman!

Ok, these guys aren't the cheapest place to have work done by any measure. They did, however, fix the problem I had with a recent wheel bearing repair...quickly and professionally. I have also had a transmission rebuilt there. I like the fact that they are honest and up front about costs, do the work quickly and professionally, and have local drop-off and pick up service. Five stars fellas!

There work is very good, I've had work done there 3 times.But don't schedule a drop off first thing in the morning at 8:00.Twice I was late getting to work because they were late getting to work.

I met everyone and my car was diagnosed within minutes! The price is more than fair and I am impressed with all the services that are offered. Very relaxed yet professional atmosphere. I loved that I felt like a part of everything!

I had an issue with my truck after calling several dealerships they told me it was a transmission I got a hold of Semmens and they took a look at it and hooked up a scanner and told me it had a dead mess on cylinder 4 after further diagnosis they fixed the mess my truck runs great now I appreciate Jazz and everybody at work's there y'all have my business forever thank you

Super nice guy there! Went in today for a front differential on my Nissan. I would like to say first that first impressions are everything to me! He spoke lively, cheerful, and very genuine! Loved it! Aftrr his greet i asked how he wad and he returned the concern. His reply was I'm great mines was I am tired lol; he said tiredddd?! Told him yes look at my hair can't you tell lol he said I actually thought it looked pretty good which I know was yi make light of my negative thoughts of myself but it worked lol. Overall he took my truck for a spin and said nope its your tires you just need new tires. So overall he was very helpful!! Which I appreciate because most mechanic men take advantage of women when they come in and he didn't!

I have had to have my last 3 cars transmissions serviced, and I choose Semmens. After my first visit and they were SO good to me, I trusted them immediately! So, the next couple (used) cars I bought, soon needed servicing, and I went to the people I trusted.I highly recommend Semmens for ALL your car repairs and maintenance. They are trustworthy, efficient, professional, and friendly. Very good people who care about you and your car.

I've taken my car to two other transmission shops with mixed results. I was very pleased with the service and attention provided by Jazz and Semmens Transmission. I originally purchased my transmission through another vendor, but Jazz was still very willing to assist with a warranty repair. He worked with ETE and got a replacement transmission sent and put in all in the same week. I was beyond impressed with how helpful this establishment is. ANYTIME I have a transmission issue I will be going to Semmens. I'll pass probably 10 transmission shops on my way there, but I know it will be worth it.

They took my vehicle in for diagnosis on a Saturday, came highly recommended by a family friend. Being from Grand Rapids, on a weekend out, they were professional, super friendly, and were thorough in follow up.
