From the moment I arrived the place was buzzing, but a young auto mechanic walked over to me greeted me and assured me someone would be right with me.A few moments went by and again someone advised me of approximately how long I would have to wait and assured me someone would be over . I wasn t complaining or anything they simply wanted to make it clear that they saw and prioritized me and I appreciated that level of care . My attendant made great conversation with me but was also sure to make me abreast of the increased rates for oil changes when he saw it has been a while since I had been in (given this is my secondary car) . I also appreciated that because I would have been upset had I not been forewarned. The experience was warm and I felt my business was appreciated.

I ve been taking my car here for service since I purchased it in 2020. Though I ve had decent customer service over the years, they re really coming from a place of SALES over simple car maintenance.I really miss their package of three oil changes which was a viable for years up until recently. You used to be able to pay $145 for a package of three oil changes. Today, I m paying $325 for an oil change, tire rotation, and diagnostic on my engine light which is WILD!Mind you, the engine light test alone was $200 - that s JUST to get the read on what needed to be done. The gentleman helping was very nice and charming but handed me a paper with a quote of $2,200 to fix four things. I was told the $200 fee to diagnose the problem would be credited towards the service to repair, but when I told them I d love to get just one of the four problems maintenanced today, they said they would only credit the $200 I paid to go towards the top line problem from the read which was quoted to me at $1000. He wouldn t let me use the $200 toward the $300 item that needed to be fixed. WHY?While I m here waiting in the waiting room, I ve ordered an engine light reader for myself on Amazon for $22 so I never have to have them charge me $200 for it. PS, Auto Zone just down the street will do a test absolutely free.I guess my new favorite thing to do is go here for overpriced diagnostics and take my business to WetMoore s in Ferndale which historically does just about everything this place does at HALF PRICE.Anyways, my takeaway here is nice guys who will take advantage of your checking account! Leaving today with $325 less dollars and some new oil. Also, mind you, my total quote for the engine light was $2,438 which only $542 was PARTS and the other $1,673 was for the service which I understand is the business - business I don t think I can to contribute to much longer.

Update: We talked to a couple of different people at the center and they did remove the wheel locks for us. Of course, we chose not to add more. We do appreciate that. It still probably was our last time going, but thank you to Joe and Brian for their help.Previous review: I don't know why its so difficult for these service centers to be trustworthy and honest.Back story: We bought a ford explorer from the dealership across the street on Nov. 30 2022. A couple of weeks after that, the tire started to go flat, so we put air. That air lasted a couple of more weeks and began to leak again. Now its January and the air is starting to leak out faster. We called the salesman and told him about the issue what can they do since its only been a month. This was obviously a problem before we purchased. He said we need to take it to the service center. There were health issues in play that only allowed us to take the car in today Feb 7.Now, we get there and tell the issue, the mecjanic says where are the wheel locks located. We don't have any. He says, well the tires have locks so you have the key. We informed him that we've only had the car 2 months and no lug nut key was given to us. There isn't even anything in the car. So he goes and comes back, and hands me an invoice with the price of a tire and $159 to remove the locks!!!.We call the salesman back and he says, he'll see what he can do and call us back. Surprise, no call back. We go to the dealership and he says he talked to the manager at the service center, which probably was a lie, and he says they were willing to work with us to lower the price. No, we don't want a "lower price" we want the locks that were not given to us. They also only have us one key, when we bought the car, but they told us about that. They never mentioned anything about the wheel locks. If you read another review here, someone else had the same issue with the wheel locks. Are they intentionally keeping them to charge extra to customers?Service: Tires

Took my car for an oil change and have the wheels and tires swapped. All 4 tires put on were under inflated.

Don t buy a car here and don t get your vehicle serviced here.Let me explain my reasoning:The pre owned dealership sold me a car. It only came with 1 key (red flag number 1). They did not disclose that the key they gave me wasn t even cut or programmed to my car. I found out later when I realized that the push button start didn t work (red flag number 2). They told me I could get a free second key by signing up for a key replacement service and reporting it missing in 2 weeks (red flag number 3). Tried that and never heard back from anyone. Essentially they gave me 1 stock key and sent me on my way. Went to get my truck serviced at another dealership and found out that they also failed to give me a key to the locking lug nut so I could not get my tires rotated (red flag number 4). I took the car to this service department to get two functional keys and a key to the lug nut. I was mostly ignored and avoided. No one could tell me how long it would take. Then, they had me submit a proof of ownership form to Ford to get the keys cut. The dealership I PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM needed a proof of ownership form because they NEVER GAVE ME THE KEY TO THE TRUCK. I waited 3 hours on site and asked for an update. The service rep told me he had no idea how long it would take, didn t know if would be done by close of business, didn t know if I would be without my vehicle when I went to leave for work the next day He said he could call me when it was ready if I needed to leave. At that point I reminded him that HE HAD NEVER ASKED ME FOR MY PHONE NUMBER. This can t be legal. Please don t go here. There are so many other fantastic, professional Ford dealerships and service departments in the area. I highly recommend Pat Milliken Ford on Telegraph.

VERY POOR PLANNING AND ORGANIZATION. Made an appointment online to get two recalls on my 2021 F150 taken care of. Service guy was nice, and told me they would take care of it, dropped the truck off and went home. Got a call 2 hours later saying they couldn't fix the issue today because they don't have any available technicians, and that I could bring my truck back on Monday to check if the technicians could work on my truck. I don't get why I HAVE to go to the dealership for them to check if the technicians can fix two recalls. You would think that in 2022 they would use some calendar or schedule for every technician, that the service guy could see online.

My 2021 D150 had a recall on it. I made an appointment to have it fixed. I made the appointment online and put in the comments it was for a recall and gave the recall number as well so they would know. They confirmed my appointment and I thought I was all good to go. I pulled into the service shop and waited in my vehicle for quite a bit of time before a worker came and asked if I'd been helped yet, I said no and was told to pull the car up and go wait in the lounge which was no problem. I waited in the waiting area for quite some time before I was told I needed to see the worker in front of the service shop. When I was waiting in front to see him he was rude and asked why I'm here and made me feel really dumb for not k owing exactly what the recall was. I informed him I put the service in the notes. He then said I think that stuff is on back order and the confirmed it is not, but told me am I leaving the vehicle there to be serviced because this takes 1.5-3 hrs to fix. I didn't leave my vehicle because he couldn't give me a time it would be done and I couldn't risk not having my vehicle the next day (work and other things). The issue is they guy was rude, they didn't know why I was the there (what's the point of scheduling online), and they waisted my time. They should call customers if they do t know what the service is or if it going to take time or they need to keep it. They seemed to not know anything and was a horrible experience. I may have bought my truck from suburban but I will not waiste my time in the service department evert again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This is the worst service department in the state of Michigan. They do not care about customers. They do not answer the telephone. They do not provide you with updates on the service of your car. I called on May 29 to get an appointment for June 2. While they did say they were busy I assumed that if I made an appointment that meant they would look at my car on the day of the appointment.I had my car towed to their facility because it would not start (brand new Bronco Sport). It sat at their lot at 10:30am. At 3:40pm I texted them for a status update and they called me at 4:00pm to say they did not look at it yet (don t know the purpose of an appointment then). They said the technician with electrical experience had to leave early and they closed at 6:00pm, so they would not be able to look at it. As of 2:00pm on June 3, no one has looked at my car, as it is still sitting in the tow lot. When I explained my frustration they look at you with a blank stare and just say, I m sorry we are busy. I don t feel they are honest or reliable nor do they care about a customer. They also will not give you a loaner so you are just stuck. Would have preferred they told me they were too busy to fix my car when I scheduled the appointment and gave a realistic appointment time frame. I ve wasted nearly 4 days now as I could have secured an appointment somewhere else much sooner. Please avoid unless you have time to waste. I now have to tow the car from their lot somewhere else. Thought Ford could do better, but not this service department. A little care goes a long way.

Christina and the rest of the team are incredible. I have moved over an hour away and still will only come here. I originally wrote a page long review on here and now I can no longer find it, along with a lot of other great reviews raving about this location! Can t say enough great things about Suburban Ford of Ferndale, will not go anywhere else. I have never felt taken advantage of or that I was talked into any services that were not needed. They have saved my butt a couple of times when I blew a tire and desperately needed to get to work. This team truly cares about their clients, do yourself a favor and skip the other service shops in the area- this is the best one in town!!!Services: Tires, Oil change

DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE.The level of communication and customer service is horrendous at Suburban Ford of Ferndale Service Center. It is the worst customer service I have experienced, in any industry, in quite a long time.Side note, this review is not a reflection of the actual work done by the technicians in the garage because my vehicle never even made it on a lift to be serviced in the 10+ hours it was at the dealership. My experience... Wednesday morning, my engine started misfiring and the check engine light came on. It was drivable, so I made an appointment for a few days later (Monday morning). My wife and I both planned it out and took the day off work to get service. We woke up early, on our day off, to drop it off. Right at the start, the customer service person was rude and difficult. I told him why I was there, and he made it seem like I was putting him out in a way. It's like I had to talk him into servicing my vehicle when it was clear and definitive that there was something wrong. Finally, after coming to terms on what I needed, my wife and I left and were sent a text message from the service department letting us know to use the text thread to communicate with any questions.5 hours passed... without any word, I texted that number back requesting an update. I waited. and waited. I was not texted back. After an hour more... I called the service department and sat on hold for some time. Finally, I was able to talk with someone only to be told that the person handling my account would call back when available.2 hours later... He finally called me back and said that the garage got behind on ONE job that apparently took the entire day. Lots of excuses and hollow apologies ("sorry, but..."). The only option was to keep my truck overnight and look at it the following day.I declined, as we are normal working people who need vehicles to get to work and cannot just take ANOTHER day off without planning and preparation. I went back to the dealership and waited 20+ minutes for them to just bring my truck around (I guess it was buried behind other vehicles).I can get past rudeness and delays especially if the work is excellent. What I cannot forgive is the lack of communication/clarity as well as a business passing on their problems to customers without solutions or compensation. I will be taking my truck to another dealership for service now and in the future.

I walk in, say good morning, and all 3 employees ignored me. I was not informed about the shuttle service and only found out because I couldn t find and Uber. Even after I found out, they made it seem like it was a favor they were doing me. I also paid them to check my car because there was a noise, so they checked everything up (including my beaks), she told me my breaks were 3/4 good, but less than a month and not many miles later, my break pad fell off I got that fixed, but 2 more weeks and there was no transmission fluid in my car so what did they check? Did they check? What s the point of getting your car checked?

They were unable to service my and they have had it gor over 2 weeks. They told me sure bring it in we'll get it the next day. That was 2 weeks ago. I have no transportation but they have given the warranty company the information they need to receive. I've yo reschedule Dr.s appointment and pay for rides to handle my business. When it could have a rental car paid for by the warranty company. I'm a senior citizen. This is wrong.

If I could give negative stars I would. I m in the process of suing them so I can t give too much detail but if you want your car to actually run please DO NOT go to this dealership. The Manager and GM are very unprofessional as well as the workers. They charge you for parts they don t even put on your car. And they don t check behind the work to make sure everything is secure and tight. And will catch an attitude if you correct there incompetence. Worse ford service company ever.

Brandon and the technicians at the Suburban Ford Service center were awesome!! They got my car in and out much faster than I expected and for a price well below that of local repair shops. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family!

Bruce went above and beyond to ensure I got the vehicle I wanted and deserved after a not so positive experience at a different dealership. Thank you for taking care of me and keeping me in the Ford family. I appreciate your kindness and the compassion you showed. I am a repeat buyer now.

Peter was professional. My oil change , tire rotation and inspection went very well. Clean waiting area and walking distance to downtown Ferndale if you don t want to wait there. Prices are higher like other dealerships, but that is to be expected.

Fast and efficient. My only complaint is that they missed two bulbs that needed replacement. The Ford dealership I frequented in Pennsylvania always alerted me offered to replace burnt out bulbs.
