The camp ground was well kept and the staff was friendly. The bathrooms and showers were clean. My kids loved the slide at the pool. There is a smaller 1 foot deep wading pool in addition to the regular pool. It was great for smaller kids. The rustic cabins were nice and had a cute swing on the porch. Unlike some cabins we ve stayed in before there were no ceiling fans so you ll want to be sure to bring fans from home.We would camp here again.

Positive: Campsites are a pretty decent size if you get a good one. I can see some are pretty tight too. The office staff was very nice and even let us switch sites to be closer to our family. Pool is very nice and clean. Bathrooms are also very clean and the showers are decent. Overall campground has a great family feeling to it, lots for kids to do.Negative: They need to make a decision if it s all seasonal or not. The seasonal people ride their golf carts all over the non seasonal sites and stare at us. There are signs everywhere that say NO . It s a bit disheartening especially at a Christian campground, least have some positive signs or some with bible verses on them. The pamphlet with the map starts with things they have zero tolerance for, just sets a weird vibe that you can t do anything. Then my kids got yelled at for walking on a retaining wall amazingly there wasn t a sign that said No walking on the wall!

So i struggle with this review because I have a great statement to make and a disappointing statement as well. We'll start with the positive. Pull through hookup sites are reasonably priced and well maintained. The outdoor amenities- sand volleyball, field for all kinds of activities, sound stage for weekend concerts, shuffle board, and many others, are great. However, the office/camp staff were rude, unkind, and disrespectful to children who wanted to utilize some or all of these. The major negative is the pool. The physical pool/hot tub are wonderful, clean, and well maintained. There is a woman who patrols the pool and she single handedly is the reason why the pool is not enjoyable or relaxing. She repeats the 20+ "no" rules that are posted for all to see on the wall each and every 30 minutes. She yells at children even when they are doing nothing wrong and their parents are in the pool area with them. She is rude, disrespectful, degrading, off putting and makes the entire experience of the campground unappealing. We had this issue with our group last year and I called to speak with the campground manager. I was reassured that this would handled and treated differently. I called to book our trip this year and again addressed the issues we had with the "Pool Patrol" and was reassured it would not be the same this year.Unfortunately, we have just left a 5 day trip to Snow Lake and it was in fact different this year, but in a more negative way.The people throughout the campground that had seasonals were kind, welcoming, and eager to welcome weekend campers. The staff, owner, and Pool Patrol made it their mission to create an exceptionally unwelcoming space for non-seasonal campers. As you approach the campground and then walk around, the signage clearly states the word NO as many times as humanly possible. From the introduction as you check in for their NO TOLERANCE policies to ALL of the NO statements in the pool and throughout the park - it is very clear that they only allow for very limited actions, activities, and interactions. For claiming to be a religious/faith based campground, it is exceptionally judgemental and limiting to who they truly want in their campground.I hope that this review helps the campground to perform some internal reflection of the communication, limitations and policing of children and families that is the current business model.I would not recommend this campground.

The campground itself was wonderful. Very kids friendly with a lot of quality places for the kids to play. Clean and had a nice pool with a small slide. The reason I rated it two stars was the management. I will NEVER go back there. I was judged when checking in. Read only the rules that she thought I needed, considered me a trouble maker from first look. Which is ridiculous. Our campsites were in the middle of many who were there for a famy weekend. And they were the ones who broke the rules, drinking off camp sites, smoking Marijuana, and having loud music. And a dog riaming not tied up at ALL! We abided by all the rules. And she chose to judge me. Very unprofessional. The last interaction with management is what did it for me. Our friend and her three kids were camping next to us. Her daughter wasn't there for the first two nights, as she wasn't allowed to come due to bad behavior. She joined us on the last night. The reservation was originally made with four people on her site. Once her daughter showed up she stopped at the office. The office was refusing to let her daughter on her campsite, even after the explanation was provided. It was absurd! The office was horrible. Rude and judgemental. It's sad because the campground itself was nice. I have never been treated that rudly at a campground. And they state they are Christian based. Not so sure about that given our experience.

We were going to be coming in from out of state on the 4th of July and had booked a week there. As in life, events changed and had to to cancel the trip 14 day before check in. While I read the CANCELLATION POLICY FOR HOLIDAYS and you loose the entire deposit (which happens to be the entire week) I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are other, more accomodating campgrounds in the area. Money seems to be more important than satisfied guests.

The campground had a lot of activities available. We went during the week, so it was pretty quiet and everything was available. Lots of things for kids to do. We stayed in the model 2 cabin, which was really nice. It was clean, the only complaint about the cabin would be the toilet. It ran the entire time and the seat was very loose, basically broken. The day we were to arrive, we called to see if we could check in early and the lady told us no. She wasn t sincere about her answer, just very matter of fact. So, we arrived when supposed to and her greeting was also matter of fact. Not very friendly, seemed annoyed.I don t understand why unfriendly people work in these types of places. The guy who was there said he was the owner and he seemed to have a much better attitude than her.Overall, the stay was nice and relaxing. The seasonal campers around us were very nice. It s a good feeling to feel welcomed and thankfully the campers made up for the lady at the front. We also didn t like how they don t allow pit bulls or Rottweilers on the camp ground. Not every Rottweiler/Pit bull needs to be stereotyped as a bad dog.

What a great Labor Day weekend at this campground. Very kid friendly. They had many events planned for the kids to do. We will definitely be back!!

Just drove through but it seems like a really well done private campground. Lots of seasonal campers. Most of the pull through sites seemed a bit crowded. Lots of amenities including a game room and a swimming pool and a small lake with available watercraft to rent.

They certainly don't value repeat customers. Manager at desk rude, would not work with me to change dates. Agree they sell themselves as a Christian Community, should review Christianity. It's not all about take take take peoples money. When I told her I was going to write a review she said, that's ok we get we get bad reviews all the time. Great business model, just keep getting bad reviews, don't work custome service or improving. Not the first time this has happened either.

Stayed here 1 night out of necessity to dump tanks, etc. It's mostly permanent seasonal sites. My site was way in the back. It's very confusing trying to find a way there. Multiple unmarked lanes, site numbers are hard to find. Was given a map but it didn't correlate to reality. Also not noted on the map is the swamp I was backed in next to. Site was supposed to be gravel but it was just mud. They also need to rethink septic drains. I guess they believe in Jesus but not gravity as black tanks won't drain uphill. No place to put garbage except the dumpsters that are clear out by the entrance. My site had other folks litter all over it. Am still cleaning out mud and dirt. Certainly not on a lake.

No electric scooters allowed?? Kinda lame if you ask me....you should change that policy a lil bit because I don't see a single reason why a responsible 37 yr old adult can't use a scooter to ride all the way from the back of the park to go fishing. I was never wreckless or above your posted speed limit, it was convenient for using the bathhouse, using your convenient store and taking out my garbage. It's time to adapt , the future rolls up on ya pretty fast and if that policy is changed to something like " escooters and ebikes must be 18 or accompanied by an adult" it would only benefit youGod Bless

I have enjoyed and have great memories of this establishment since the early 80's when my grand parents had a yearly site for years we would gather there during summers.. I remember they had many activities for the kids that were chaperoned so the parents could rest assured the kids would be limited in the trouble they could get into.. I haven't been there in years but it used to have a pool mini golf a arcade with a juke box for kids to hangout at.. and dances on Saturday night at the activities lodge.. long story short place for children to creat great memories while the adults could still have there time.. family oriented company..everybody looked/s out for one another.. especially the kids.. good ole days!! Will always love this place

Absolutely disgusting. The workers were nothing but rude, even accused a 4 year old of stealing a piece of candy after we made sure she didn't take anything and then proceeded make us pay twice for it. Our first time at this campground and never will I go again. I don't recommend this for any family. We paid for 8 people and after we set up, we were told we had to pay 70$ for a single tent. Absolutely outrageous

This is easily one of my favorite family campgrounds! There s so many activities for kids to do. We ve been a few times and still haven t tried everything! The western village is such a hit with kids. The water slide is really fast so of course the kids love it as well. The layout is great. If you get one of the middle sites you can see your children at either play area, which makes it extra relaxing for parents! Everything is well maintained and manicured. The price is such a bonus because you can have good old fashioned family fun without shelling out hundreds like you would at a KOA or Jellystone. On top of that the seasonal folks here are very friendly. On to the cons. This is definitely a rule heavy campground as others have mentioned. They have an excessive amount of signs regarding the rules. I d suggest you read the rules beforehand because they will be enforced, so if you re not ok with certain rules don t camp here. We personally haven t had issues but we witnessed other people have problems where the staff wasn t particularly nice to someone over the rules. The biggest drawback IMO is the sites which is why I gave it 4/5 stars (4.5 if I could ). The sites are the worst I ve ever stayed on. It seems no matter which site you stay on your neighbors sewer hose is next to your picnic table. The sewer connection is literally on your site. If they would just space them out a little more it would be PERFECT. For the price though you can t beat it.Even though I m not a fan of the sites we still keep coming back because of the amenities. If you have kids don t think twice about coming here! I can t state enough how much fun it is.

That was a great clean and well maintained. It has many amenities. Such as a main General Store that includes laundry facilities. The children have a large playground and a small Western Village to spark children's imagination. A clean heated swimming for children and adults. Adult only hot tub and a waiting pool for the kitties. If that's not enough you can work up a sweat in the exercise room with some nice equipment including elliptical there was treadmills and bicycles. The campground has planned activities included with your Campground pass such as hayrides dancing and concerts where are available.

Overall camp ground is decent. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. However what kills it for me is the rude and disrespectful old ladies at the pool. Maybe if they worried about themselves instead of every little thing others did we would consider coming back. I seen the two of them tell someone they had to leave due to having sparkling water (it's 90 degrees out and 100% humidity) followed by telling another gal she couldn't have a can of sun block (it was in a wagon). Signs ever where say no life guard on duty, swim at your own risk. However do these old ladies work here? If not you guys seriously need to get your people in check. Personally for me, they ruined it with yelling at a kid to sit down on a slide when he just got to the top not even a second before she started yelling at him and telling parents "they need to watch their kids". Sad it seems to be an ongoing issue based off other reviews. Can only imagine how much business this trailer park set up has lost.

Went into this place with high hopes, but it did not deliver. From the small campsites to the inconsistent times for the pool and camp store. We initially booked this place for the amenities they have, which they do have quite a few, to keep the kids busy. We arrived at around 3pm on Monday and checked in. We were told the park store closed at 6pm and 1 car no visiters. Web site says upto two cars and visitors needed to leave by 10 or 11pm. We were shown on the map where our site would be. It was the same lot we booked the week prior. We specifically asked in there were any one ways we needed to be concerned about and was told there was not. We get to our site which according to their on line site saide it was 77ft x 32ft. Well enough room for our 30ft camper and crew cab pick up. Our lot was barely 50ftx24ft. It fit the camper and the truck. Road to road. We also have 1 slide out and our awning. Which in total would make it roughly 22ft wide. Luckily we didn't have any neighbors until later in the week. Ok, the next day we went to Grand Rapids, its about a 45 min drive, not bad, and got back to the camp before 4pm. My wife and step daughter needed something and the camp store only to find out it was closed....before 4pm....not sure why just locked up. So we made a mental note that if we wanted anything from there we needed to do it for noon. With the vacant lot next to us, my son and I decided to use the extra space to play some corn hole. We were playing for about 30 minutes when a lady drove by in her golf cart (seasonal campers have them and there are a lot), slowed down and looked at us, proceeded to drive by and radio someone our site number. Felt like she was telling someone we were using two camp spaces. Anyway, we finished up our game, packed them up and went on with our day. On Thursday the kids wanted to use the pool after our day of exploring the area. It was about 7pm when they went, it was just the two of them ages 12 and 15. At about 8:30 they were told they needed to leave because the pool was closing for that day. Once again the park map says 10pm is pool closing time. Very irritating for the kids. They have weekend events which we missed because of when we arrived and left. But from what I could tell these are pretty well organized. Things at the camp store are priced reasonable, given its a camp store. But get you fire wood else where. 7.50+tax for a smallish bundle. There's a fruit market south of the camp on 66 that has bigger bundles for $6. Question is would I stay here again....maybe and depending on the site. Now that I've seen the grounds, I feel the sites closer to the restrooms are no smaller than the one we got. They may even be bigger, for less money. $5 less. It is a relatively quiet campground even though there are a lot of golf carts and the fire pits in the area we stayed and are located in the back of the camper less than 3ft away from it. So just be prepared if you have a longer camper like us. Most everyone we spoke to were pretty friendly. I guess we'll see in time if we do stay here again.

My first time at this campground. I didn't know you needed a wristband for the pool. I was about to get in the water when an old lady came up to me and got in my face and started to question me. She was rude and then started to interrogated my family and if they had wristbands. Me and my mom were leaving when she decided to call, what im guessing, was security. Which was just 2 old ladies on a golf cart, me and my mom already left the area and were walking back when they decided to come walk over to us and yell at us. The whole staff was rude and i wouldn't recommend this campground for anybody.

I called about wanting to come visit the campground, I asked if I could put a deposit down or if they could hold a spot as I m 3 hours away. The lady said no and I asked if I could take your word that a spot would still be available and the lady laughed. I don t understand why people feel they have to be rude and not work something out with me. They have now lost a customer and are getting this review because they need to work on customer service.

What a nice place. The people running the campground were extremely welcoming and friendly. The place is very clean. So much to do for the kids, the Western Play Area is so imaginative and really neat. Can't wait to come back.

We got late reservations for a couple days before the 4th of July weekend. Went with my 5 grands (ages 8 mths to 7 yrs) as well as my daughter and her husband. The kids had so much fun, and even without the two pages of activities the campground had for the weekend, we enjoyed plenty of amenities. Great family campground!

Stayed there for three nights most of the trees are on the seasonal sites we are not seasonal. Nice pool but no enforcement of the rules. Wanted to fish while there, the pond is a joke for fishing only turtles and muskrats. Hard to fish from the shore for the lake and the dock area is loaded with turtles that take your fishing line, is only good if you're in a boat. The bathrooms and showers are very nice the choice of ice cream flavors is poor and the very small arcade closes at 8 p. M. And the next day it was closed for repairs. The cafe remained closed because they can't seem to hire a cook. Nice horseshoe pits, cute but small Putt-Putt. Pretty clean all the way around. Think it's better for seasonal campers. Sites are long but very narrow. All people were friendly.

I worked for Snow Lake campground this summer of 2021. It was a great experience and a wonderful work environment. The owner is one of the best people to work for and all of the maintenance staff are pleasant and work both as a team and independently. I wish that summer didn't have to end and I could work year round here. I'm not looking forward to working anywhere else and I hope I'm able to return here next April. So in my words, Great place to work, great people to work with, and no better environment to work in. Darrin Esch Maintenance technician.

This campground is meant for seasonal campers only. Non-seasonal campers (like ourselves) feel very unwelcome. The seasonal campers guard the pool and harass everyone, as if it is their job, about everything from wearing t shirts in the pool to correcting children who s parents are just feet away. Staff were not helpful when we expressed concerns and explained they thought it was necessary for the seasonal campers to act this way. Sadly we will not be back as this ruined our experience.

Staff was rude. The campsites are small and the smell of sewage surrounds you. The pool is small, and over crowded. No beach. You can rent boats, but not many available. This is a campsite designed for seasonal, not guests. Restrooms were clean.

So I'm torn with my reviewing of this camp ground. Part of me wants to just focus on the things the kids got to do and enjoy, the other part of me wants to just scream at the seasonal dwellers that live there. So I shall do a little bit of both to explain my stance of 2 stars.First great activities for the kids, lots for them to do! This weekend had everything from petting zoo, to live music to swimming. Extra curricular activities put on by the park were amazing for the kids.Secondly and probably the most frustrating was the massive amount of people on golf carts that would leave their seasonal spots at the front of the campground and drive all the way to the back where us one time visitors all stay. It felt like being a zoo animal, they would drive by and point and just stare at you while you set up or while you sat there quietly minding your own business, as if we were on display for these folks with nothing better to do.Third. During the concert one gentleman broke through the barrier that kept golf carts out and ran over an electrical box than proceed to drive across the common area where people were sitting. Than hit a sign on his way out another entrance. All while holding a beverage that he was intently not trying to spill. It seemed as though he was under the influence.Forth. The people in golf carts driving by drunk asking which site belong to them and then repeatedly driving by yelling obscenities and saying Merry Christmas while drinking. My issue with this campground isn't the facility or what it offers it's the seasonal residents that made mine and my families stay unpleasant.I felt for what I spent I should not have had to deal with that.Camped for two nightsRented a paddle boatBought ice cream for 8 peopleAte at the restaurant.I participated and was an active camper at this property so to experience these unchristian like actions at a Christian camp ground is unsatisfactory.
