I had two separate repairs done at Darrel's Firestone Farmington Mi. my 2007silverado had a driveshaft rebuilt. And next job was a fuel pump install. Truck runs and drives good. I'm pleased with Darrel's Firestone

Had an appointment to have 4 new tires installed. Was told on arrival that it might take longer than usual due to staffing issue. Decided to wait anyway. I made it a bit more complicated by bringing extra wheels for the new tires.Waiting area is clean and pleasant. They understood what I wanted and handled it with no confusion. Job was completed within estimated time. I will be back.Service: Tires

IF your looking for a honest place keep looking. Made a appt. 2 weeks prior with Chris the write up man to have a set of tires put on my car. He stated the price, and type of tires. Arrived to find tires not there, and tried to sell me cheaper tires at a higher price. He lied to get me in. Not a good way to do treat customers !

Got a flat tire on Friday evening and they were able to repair it for me the next morning. Was impressed how quickly they fit me in especially on a weekend when things can be busy. Easy process and got my car back in less than 24 hours. I m new to Farmington Hills so this was my time going to Darrell s. Will definitely continue coming here. Highly recommend!

Had an issue another local repair shop caused. Jason and Chris were very helpful in getting the issue scheduled and corrected in a timely manner. Greatly appreciate them and the team of mechanics at Darrell s. They have a new customer!

Avoid this place! 1st experience: purchased $1800 in New tires, upon arriving home I discovered two of the four wheels lug nuts were not tightened. 2nd experience: wheel alignment after I replaced front suspension; paid for alignment and it was never adjusted. Left the store and steering wheel was at a 40� angle to drive straight. Back to the store where the alignment was "completed" again. Steering wheel straight, hard pull to the right. Was advised "play in the gear box" causing issue. Until I visited a good Firestone (Haggerty Road, Northville) who advised it was the tires...WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE VEHICLE! Switched the two front tires and..damn..driving straight now but steering wheel is at a 15� angle. Which means Darrells never completed the alignment that I paid for, never did a test drive and failed to make my vehicle safe.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

The road hazard insurance provided by Darrell's Firestone on a set of tires installed by them is fantastic $10 per tire. I had to pay only a very small fee to have a blowout tire replaced after 18 months of install.

I went in to mount & balance four Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires (purchased online) on wheels that were off my vehicle. I walked in without an appointment at around 1 pm, and they said I will be able to pick them up the next day. $140 for tire installation on four loose wheels is a bit pricey, compared to $100 from the local Discount Tires and $80 Costco. If the services had been good, I wouldn't have cared too much.After picking up the wheels, I immediately noticed several minor damages on each wheel and was very disappointed. The BBS wheels had been purchased the previous day so I was well aware of their conditions and have photos to prove. The damages are all approximately 80% radial distance from the wheel center.Installed the wheels on my vehicle and test drove it. I noticed severe vibration at around 75 mph. My hands felt numb after 5 mins of driving on the highway due to the vibration. I was afraid to take the wheels back to the Firestone that they may damage the wheels further. I took the wheels to a local tire shop with road force balance machine and explained the situation. They tested all four wheels, discovered 2 of them were out of balance, rebalanced them, and charged me $30 for only the two that they serviced. The car now drives perfectly fine.I wanted to give the shop a try since I'm local, but their performance was very disappointing. I get how they get good reviews (the staff was very polite and easy to deal with), but they should provide a reliable service especially for the steep pricing. Overall, I would not recommend the shop.Service: Tires

First off - EXCELLENT service! My wife needed some brake work on her Mercedes and was able to get in the same day at Darrell's Firestone in Farmington Hills. We dropped her car off and Darrell's team called with an estimate. We gave the go ahead and they got to work fixing her brakes. My wife had other work to be done (her Mercedes has about 80k miles on it) so she let them have it for a couple days to get everything looked at. Darrell's provided her a loaner vehicle to use to get to and from work at no additional cost. Everything was done right and we couldn't be happier with the service.Service: Auto brake repair

I took my old Ford Ranger in for a fuel leak. They fixed that problem and also found some broken, rusted out parts that were making the ride extremely rough. They replaced the shackles and tie rods and the truck rides better than it has in years.Edit: Over the past couple of years lve had several repairs done here. Everything has gone well. Thanks again!

This was the best experience I ve had with a mechanic shop in my life. I had some exhaust issues come up on Tuesday morning. They had my car in the shop by the end of the day Tuesday, and I picked it up by 4 pm on Wednesday fully repaired. Jason, the guy working on my car, called me as soon as their inspection was done and let me know what the issue was, how they were going to fix it, and what the cost was going to be up front. He also suggested I get my brakes done because they were in really bad shape but left that additional work up to me. He did not try to up sell me at all. When I came to pick up my car, Jason had me pay and gave me an itemized receipt without me needing to ask. So far, my repair seems to have corrected the problem and I will be going back to Darrell s Firestone with any car troubles in the future.Services: Exhaust, Brakes

I Google Timing Chain and a few auto repair shops popped up. Darrell's auto repair was one of them. I called and talked with Darrell. He explained to me what he thought the problem was. I know l must have called him four time within a hour. He was so patient with me. I was in panic mode. So he told me he couldn't look at my truck but to call his other shop. They all were very nice and polite. I talked with Jason and Chris. I was so impressed with the time Chris took in explaining everything to me. Darrell's Auto Repair Shop have a customer for Life. Honest guys who aren t trying to rack up a bill! Chris found a great cost effective solution for my throttle body saving me hundreds of dollars. My wife had a nail in her tire the day before we were leaving town on vacation. It was the night before New Years Eve and it was very tough to find a shop open. A family member referred us to Darrell's Firestone so I called. They got us in, repaired the tire and had us on the road for vacation. My 1996 Chevy pick up started running rough. I took it to Darrells. The mechanic worked his tail off to diagnose a very rare and strange issue. He was able to fix it and came in 600 dollars under the quote. Chris was my customer service agent and he was amazing. He kept me informed and was very thorough in his explaining the issue. This garage is trustworthy and honest as the day is long. I will come back for any and all of my mechanical and maintenance needs.Service: Engine repair

This past weekend I had a coolant leak. I couldn't take my car to my normal mechanic across the state so I went searching for one here. Darrell's had great reviews so I gave them a call. They got me right in and fixed my car the same day. Within a few hours. The quote was excellent and the customer service was excellent as well. If I could give them more than five stars I would. I highly recommend this place.

I am a 73 year old senior on fixed income I brought my car here hoping to get my car repaired which did not happen I had my car towed twice which means that was two separate claims to my insurance which caused me to pay my deductible twice total of $200, they never FIXED the problem this caused me a financial hardship, I had to get it towed to the dealer which resulted in another claim and again I had to pay $100 deductible they repaired my car and it's running perfect, the mechanics at Firestone never took care of the PROBLEM but got PAID for not addressing my problem and the manager Chris was very insulting .I recommend people to go to the Dealership.

Sad to say I never leave bad reviews but have to here. I SET UP AN APPOINTMENT (this is important) at 8 am for an oil change, transmission flush, and because I was pulling to the left hard, an alignment. I dropped off the car in their tiny lot. At 2:30 I hadn't heard from them so I called. The guy who answered said they haven't done anything. Excuse was the keys got caught in the drop box...even though my car was there all day AND had an appointment. After contacting, the oil chang was done and an "alignment" was done. My care now highly pulls to the right. So after sitting in Farmington for 9 hours, I got a oil change, a bad alignment and didn't get my transmission flushed and had the privilege of paying $130 for that privilege. They send you a text message after asking how the work was but it's either an automatic response because when I itemized this, there was no apology or acknowledgement. I'm taking it to a new Firestone because I cannot trust them to keep appointments, nor do a satisfactory jobService: Wheel alignment

I went to Darrell's Firestone to get my new Goodyear tires installed, which I purchased through Goodyear online. Darrell's Firestone tried to find other services my car needed and sell me a new battery, which is fine, but I was just getting tired installed. I'm not really sure why they were checking my coolant and trans fluid in the first place. It's probably why the whole process took so long. I didn't really like the up-selling attempt, as it sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Their staff in the office were not wearing masks either.Staff was very friendly to me and the office was clean.Overall, I'm disappointed.Service: Tires
