I was in a bind. My serpentine belt suddenly broke, and it was a busy Friday afternoon in Farmington Hills, MI. I bought a replacement at a nearby auto parts store, and managed to drive my car (before the battery totally died) to the only repair shop around - Monro Auto Service.I had no appointment, and they were busy. However, after explaining my situation (I'm from out of town) to Jonathan Ross, Store Manager, he kindly took care of my emergency repair needed and quickly got the belt put on at a very reasonable cost.Thank you to Jonathan for stepping above and beyond, and providing excellent customer service to a customer with special circumstances.Brett

This shop helped me with a difficult to repair lower ball joint on an older vehicle. The job was a little outside their comfort zone but they took the job anyway. I was very happy to find a business that looks ways to help rather than to say "no". Thanks. I appreciated your work.

The guys here were super kind and very communicative on everything going on with my vehicle. Even when there was an issue, they explained it and apologized for the wait. Overall great service!

Had bad exhaust leak on my van. Weather was bad I didn't want to fix outside. Monro not only had easily the best price, but also was able to fix right away. Couple other places I called wanted me to drop off and wait a day or two.

I was having a squeaking sound from my brakes and they diagnosed the problem quickly which lead to an easy fix. They ordered the part I picked it up from just down the street and they ended up installing it for free. Great service and friendly staff, best auto shop in the area.

Tony the manager was so nice. He took out the screw and patched my tire. It was closing time and he was still so helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

Tried to do business with them twice with two different locations and neither did the job, I woke up at 630am called they told me to come down so l could be the first guy and when I get there they tell me we can't do it today and after all that they wouldn't even lend me a ice scraper for my windshield STAY AWAY.

Great service. Took our vehicle in for noise. Never used them before and they are 4 minutes away. They did road test and put car on lift, checked the car thoroughly, no issues. Might be body parts but no suspension issues. Great peace of mind. Very polite service people, including John. Would go back for necessary car care in a minute.P.S....10/30/23 ... just took car in for rear brake replacement....Munro did not disappoint ! Did a very thorough, professional job at a reasonable cost. These folks are good and can be trusted to do a good job on your vehicle. They are honest and fair with pricing as well.

Don't waste your time/moneyI had air leaking from my tires so I brought my truck in. They recommended I replace them due to dry rot. The tires had less then 50k miles on them and were in decent shape. I took their recommendation and had them replaced. The next day I still found that my tires were leaking air. I returned to the shop and they said it was leaking from a bad valve stem. They removed the tire and replaced the valve stem after 2 hours of attempts. 2 days later my tires are still leaking air. I decided that I would not return and took my car to Discount Tire down the road. They said I had bad valve stems that need to be replaced. I believe Monro never checked for air leaks in the first place and tricked me into buying 4 new tires. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.

Would Not Recommend.Took my car here to get the tires balanced as I had a slight vibration at 75mph. They did a good job balancing the tires as I now have ZERO vibration.However, They told me my 2013 Grand Cherokee with 100k miles needed $2100 in repair and asked if I was ready to make the repairs today (Front struts and sway bar end links). I was told the end links were worn and the struts were leaking. Also I was told I needed to return the next day to have the lug nuts re-torqued.The next day I decided to check the issues they noted and check air pressures and lug nut torque myself. The work order states the lug nut were torqued to 95 ft lbs. It took OVER 150 ft lbs (my torque wrench only goes to 150ft lbs) to remove the lug nuts. If I did not have a breaker bar I would not have been able to remove some of the lug nuts. I then re-torqued them to the correct 95 ft lbs. Also all four tires ranged from 29-36 psi not the 32 psi they should have had.Now back to the "Leaking" struts. I looked at the struts and no signs of any leakage what so ever. Also sway bar end links were in good shape with no play. They wanted me to pay $2131.91 for repairs my vehicle did not need.Also they did not take it on a road test which they would have noticed the vehicle had no noticeable suspension issues.So if you want to take your car to a shop that will try talk you into repairs your car does not need then Monro in Farmington Hills is your shop. If you want honest repairs and service go elsewhere.Pictures of the "Leaking" struts are attached for Monro's benefit. If there were leaking you would see oily residue at the top of the strut under the spring perch.

I have used this shop several times.They are professional in repair works and honest for the jobs.I want to give my best review.Every time I was surprised with the prices for the services.Their labor charges are very reasonable and much less than my expectations.

Brian (Manager) was amazing! From our initial phone call to the completion of my repair, he was very attententive and reassuring that everything would be okay; and it was. Thanks to him and his team, my current repair and future preventative repairs suggested were explained in full detail. My mind was placed at ease. I have been with Monro Auto for almost 8 years; and I have never had any repeated service issues from installation quality, except for routine maintenance and seleted preventative carrepairs due to unfortunate hazardous roads. Keep up the great work!

Quick fix of a screw in my tire, professional and friendly service! I would highly recommend going to this Monro Auto Service and Tire Center if you have a nail or screw like I did in your tire. They got me back on the road in no time.

Do not go here for any custom exhaust work, stick to them for the basics. I brought in my 2021 Trackhawk to cut out a piece of the exhaust, and weld in another piece of piping. They put it in the air and let me know this project was going to be way more work than they can handle due to it needing major pipe bending and it was going to be difficult due to my muffler being bent/damaged I then show them this picture (attached) which is a friend of mine that had this same job done which shows zero pipes being bent, just cut on an angle, a straight resonator and pipe put in place, and welded. You can also see the factory bend in the piping on the right exit of the resonator (which they were calling damage). After seeing this, they still insisted it was going to need pipe bending and assured me that they were correct because they are the professionals.Brought it down the street to another shop that agreed to do the work without hesitation

Customer service was amazing - John and Brian. I had a break emergency with my 2018 Mini Countryman. Took my car in on Monday and they had everything done in 4 hours. I had a failed attempt at doing my brakes on Sunday becasue I could not get the caliper bolts out. Great they allowed me to use the parts I had already purched. Will be back for future service.

Brian was awesome in assisting me with a tire change. I noticed at got a flat at some point going home so I immediately pulled into the first available lot. I called AAA thinking my spare tire would be replaced and I'd be on my way, but the spare was no good as well (it had a leak) so AAA called me a tow. I called the first available tire shop that was still open and had good reviews. The tow didn't come through at a reasonable time and I was afraid the tire store would close before I got there so I very slowly drove on the flat tire to the tire shop and Brian was waiting there for me! He had planned on closing down earlier, but was gracious enough to wait for me and if I didn't call when I did I would have essentially been screwed with a flat tire and would have had to get my car towed home and retowed to a shop the next day spending extra time and possibly $$$. I trust this shop with my future car needs as a new citizen of Michigan as result of this positive experience.

Editing this review as of September 2022 - No longer good. I walked in the shop and the guy behind the desk stopped working with a customer to take a personal phone call, which turned out to be a job interview. That customer walked out in frustration, so I got to listen to the whole interview until someone came in and asked me what I needed. I had previously made an appointment for an alignment, but they pulled a car on the rack so it would be at least 30 min until they could do my car. I walked out and won't be back. I can spend my money elsewhere that is more organized and isn't rude to customers.I've only had alignments done here, but have been happy. I've brought them two different cars after doing the suspension work myself, and they had no problems aligning the car properly. They are prompt with your appointment. Your car gets in and worked on as soon as you show up, instead of waiting around like other shops.

Ryan and the mechanics were thorough diagnosing my issue and did a great job explaining options. They went the extra mile when a vendor sent a wrong part to get the right one and get me back on the road. My car runs better than it has in a long time. I have used this Monro service center before and would not hesitate recommending it to friends or family.

John and Brian are honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy and top notch! After an expensive bs experience at Firestone, I took my Jeep to Monro, Farmington Hills, with no heat. I was told at Firestone last week that the thermostat was checked and working and they flushed the radiator and added fluids, charged me $159. Still had NO HEAT!Brian told me to come in, John checked and replaced the thermostat, filled the fluids and now I HAVE HEAT!Charged me $45 and I'm all set! I wouldn't take my cars to any other place!

I was very happy with these guys. I brought my car to them after three other shops could not figure out that my car was having battery issues. Ryan and Austin were awesome communicators with friendly costs. Ryan showed and explained the issue and gave attention to my concerns. I'm glad to have worked with good people and look forward to knowing I can trust them in the future.

A week ago a ran into some issues with my car, it started out with a squeaking sound so I figured it was my breaks. I went to O'Reilly's and they recommended me to Monro Auto Service that was a couple blocks down the street from them, the moment I walked in I felt like I was gonna get my car taken care of on the spot! The entire staff was welcoming and had great hospitality, I had my little one with me and they were nice enough to offer us a snack and something to drink! In the end they quoted me a fair price that no one else could beat and I was out of there in 2HRS! My car feels like new and I'm thankful it feels a lot safer to drive now with my little one than it did before. Thanks to the manager and his staff, you guys will see me again for an Oil Change! :D

I had an appointment scheduled for 1:00pm. The work on my car was done immediately and I was headed home at 1:27pm. The staff are GREAT!!! The service is PROFESSIONAL!!! The atmosphere of Monro's is of a friendly and kind neighborhood auto repair center. This was my first visit and will not be my last. I along with my family will now take all of our automobile needs to Monro.

Ryan was honest about the cost of services and made sure to explain exactly what I d be paying for (and why) from the moment I walked in. The work I came in for was completed with great care and efficiency; he even went the extra mile to correct an error another shop made a couple weeks prior that I had no knowledge of. Surely enough however, I noticed an immediate difference when driving my baby again for the first time. Definitely my best experience with car service to date!

Love, love, love the service and attention I receive at this location. Julie, the manager, is great. She s well informed, and does her best to answer any questions or concerns a customer might have. Many women have legitimate concerns when seeking out a place to have their car taken care of. I was quoted $250 more for the same repairs at another place. I ll definitely be returning for any other work I may need to have done! Highly recommend!!!Update 9/2021 I continue to bring my car here for service even though the names and faces have changed. I ve obviously been bringing my car here for years. A good mechanic is like a doctor. They understand the character of your car.

I have been here for the last five years. Usually it s a good service but it seems like employees are switching regularly. The store manager right now - Ryan - is probably the best one. The four star rating is only because of the experiences I had over the years. Usually I can get my car in on short notice, they call me with updates or when I can pick it up and I don t feel like they want to sell things I don t need.

I recently moved to the area and my wife and I were nervous about finding a a quality shop. Truthfully, the Hardest thing to find is an honest car shop. Shops will do great work whether you need it or not if you know what I mean. Well Monro is an honest shop and their customer service is next level. Each person I worked with Ryan, Andy and Cat, were all outstanding. I wont go anywhere else now. I am sold

Ryan is amazing! Excellent customer service and quality work. I took my car in for brake repair and Ryan found I needed quite a few things done. The cost was fair compared to other places and the quality of work unmatched. Thank you for all you do at Monro!
