If you need any work done on your vehicle or just need an oil change, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!! Can t say enough good things about Nick and his crew over there!!Just bought a new vehicle a couple months ago and it needed some repairs. Nick volunteered To call the place where I bought it to see what they could do for me. I don t know of anyone else in his industry who would do this!Muffler man is the ONLY place I go and will continue to go for ALL my vehicles needs!! THANK YOU Nick for EVERYTHING!!! YOU ROCK!!

This has been a few years ago but they work on my moms van went well over the pay limit and then we think they drop my moms van off hoist and didn t say a word drove it home from there and was never driven again sold it for scrap had to get state of Michigan involved and only got back $400 of the almost $1000 my parents put into there don t want your vehicle then take it there want your vehicle then don t take it there !!!!

I don't know how good they are with mufflers but they should stick to them as it is in they're name. When it comes to engines and diagnostics they are incompetent. Almost $700.00 and the car ran as bad or worse then when they got they're hands on it. When Nick the owner finally gave up and told me to take it someplace else he had a huge smile on his face knowing he already had my money due to him telling me he had test drove it twice and it was fine. My mistake there but he knew there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. I live almost 400 miles away (still in Michigan but downstate) but I come to Escanaba once a month. If my car ever breaks down there again I would rather catch it on fire rather then take it to Muffler Man of Escanaba. INCOMPETENT !

Was in the area from out of town and they were able to fit my car in, gave me honest advice on the fix, and had it done in record time (AND a great price!)

Our water pump went out 40 miles outside of escanaba. We managed to get the truck to the muffler man. He made it his first priority and had it done in a few hours- as we were on our Honeymoon and from out of town. We were stranded. Price was fair, work was great, service was excellent and they were so nice!!

Nick, the owner, and the other workers are always helpful. They can usually get me in within a couple days whereas most other place usually take at least a week to get in. They work quickly and are honest in their work and what they say needs to be done. I recommend anyone take their vehicle there.

I did not have the good experience that some other people have listed under these reviews. We broke down while traveling, Nick was not helpful at all. Said maybe they could fit us in sometime today but would not commit. Did not suggest another shop. Plus he was out mowing the lawn at his shop next to our motel at 7:00 a.m. throwing grass and rocks all over my truck. Not appreciated.

I was driving through the Upper Peninsula on my way to Minnesota when one of my struts uncoiled and slashed my tire.. No one else in town would get me in but Nick with Muffler Man got me right in and on the road the next morning. Even though it was a holiday weekend! They were very friendly and did what they could to help me out! I definitely recommend these guys for any car issues. They were very friendly and knew what they were doing!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I was on vacation out of state, and locked my keys in my car. I was staying at one of the hotels nearby, walked in, and asked if someone could help. Within 2 minutes the tech was there. He got my car unlocked. They didn t even charge me! And I made it home in time for my son s birthday party. What a professional, friendly local shop.

Passing by town my exhaust pipe broke. The nice gentleman running the counter got my truck right in and fixed it up. Let s just say the price was way more than fair. All the guys were nice and friendly. I highly suggest getting your repair done by them. I will definitely be returning the favor to someone very soon, thanks again!

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! This was one of the worst case of customer service I have ever received. Never got one phone call regarding an estimate. Never got one phone call telling me my sons car was done. The first time they said it was done, it wasn't. Their negligence could have caused a bad accident. They said he needed brake lines all the way around and didn't do that. It went right back in, and once again no phone calls. We just got it back for a second time and it's still not good. If you want your vehicle done right, this place is not the place to go. The customer service is seriously lacking from employees and owner. Owner at one point said, does it stop? We will never bring a vehicle there again, or recommend them.

Worst experience I've ever had at an auto shop. I had all new pads and rotors put on.. On my drive back home I noticed a clunking. Turns out one of my pads was never bolted on or was never properly fastened because the bolts were completely missing and the calipers were just dangling. 630 dollars and they used the cheapest semi-metal pads possible. On top of poor customer service and an inexcusable mistake I would never reccomend this place to anyone. Also it was the actual owner who did everything too.Service: Brakes

Called ahead for an oil change, Bob told me no problem we can get you right in. Very busy day for me. Drove across town to be told, there is a wait to get me in. And this was after waiting in the lobby watching 3 guys standing around, 2 eating in the shop and the other sitting by door. Are you kidding me. Go anywhere else but here. These young guys don't have it together and shouldn't be running a business. Word will spread.

I was driving from Minnesota to lower Michigan thru the U.P. Came into Escanaba at 3am with a loud clunking on my van, didn't want to drive on it so got a motel room. Called Nick right at 8am, was able to bring it in asap. This guy was honest and awesome! Fast work and affordable!

Had exhaust manifold replaced and other work done. Was way under the price I was expecting. Nice to have a quite truck and no longer smell exhaust in my cab. If you need exhaust work done at a good reasonable price, bring your vehicle here.

Took 3 hours and $80 just to get two tires changed (I already had the tires, just needed them swapped out). They also gave no written estimate at all, let alone one stating it would cost that much, which is illegal in michigan.

Amazing. Went there for an estimate on a problem. They found the exact problem fixed it right then and there and we were on our way. Little fee but worth it and would go back a million times again

You know I've heard good and bad about this shop but I never had a issue they have treated me fairly cheapest oil change in town and cheapest rates. They will really work with you.

Recently I was on a long trip from Lower Michigan to the Upper Pennisula. I stopped in Manistique, MI and then my steering linkage went out. My insurace company sent out Pro Towing from Escanaba. Pro Towing went the extra steps for me. Pro Towing called Muffler Man in Escanaba to make sure that I would be able to get service and be back on the road, as it was Friday night and no most business were closed and would be closed on Saturday and Sunday. I cannot thank them enough for all the extra steps they took for me.Muffler Man in Escanaba got me in around one. They had a difficult time replacing the part but within a few hours I was back on the road. With a very reasonable charge and a lot of good wishes and smiles. A great crew. Thank you so very much for helping a women in distress.

Awesome place. I was driving through from Texas when my tire indicator went off in my car. They checked my tires completely before I got back on the road and they filled with air. Nice guys. Thanks
