Absolutely stellar experience at Dave's Garage in Empire. Craig and his crew went above and beyond installing new tires on my 2022 Tesla Model 3. Their kindness and expertise were unmatched. Craig's recommendation for tires tailored to my needs exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Dave's Garage Empire. I was 3 hours from home for work and needed unexpected repairs done. They found the problems with my cargo van and fixed it quickly. I was so happy with this that I also had them replace my brakes a few days later while I was still in the area. They are very knowledgeable and skilled in auto repair and extremely trustworthy.

We had a check engine light come on before our trip home to Chicago. Mr. Craig provided a free vehicle scan, thoroughly explained the issue, and its severity. He was very knowledgeable, honest, and gave us peace of mind. Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Dave s Garage. We were on vacation & driving on a scenic trail when stopped to take pictures. The car would not start again. We got a jump from another vacationer & called Dave s because it came up as the closest to us. They were so polite & professional. They made sure they had a battery for my Explorer. When we got there they were so fast at taking our vehicle back. Checked everything & made sure it was the battery. Changed the battery and we were on our way to continue our vacation. Big Thank You!!

I've worked with Craig over the last 4 years and he is one of the most helpful, professional and upmost beneficial person I've met. Him and his team is a wealth of knowledge and take personal care of all the work they do. 12/10 would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

We had a problem with a truck tire losing air pulling our camper from northwest in to Empire. We were recommended to Dave s by the owner of the campground. They took us in immediately & Trent diagnosed & fixed a leaky valve stem. Excellent customer service and the cost of the repair was reasonable and fair.Service: TiresService: Tires

Was camping in Glen Arbor and our car battery died. Purchased a new one from Dave s and then took the vehicle there for further testing. Dealt with Craig and he cleaned the corrosion from the old battery and made sure the new battery was installed correctly. He tested the alternator and starter to ensure we would be able to make it home (4 hours away). He gave us piece of mind that allowed us to enjoy the rest of our vacation. If you ever need work on your car I highly recommend Dave s.

Dave s saved the day! Had a slow leak develop in passenger side rear tire while on vacation, they were able to fix it. Got in for an appointment same day I called and only took 15 mins for the repair.Whole experience was out of this world friendly and professional so glad they are in the area!Thank you for saving my family s vacation!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I trust Dave's Garage in Empire more than anyone else when it comes to keeping my family's vehicles in working order. Multiple cases where other shops - including the dealers themselves - aren't able to figure out what's going on, or take wild guesses as to what's wrong - and Dave's figures it out quickly. On top of that, they even take the time to walk through what's going on, and the processes they took to uncover it. In particular, working with Craig and Linda has been great - friendly, prompt in replies, never a surprise. Save yourself the hassle and go to Dave's!Services: Transmission, Electrical repair

Highly recommend !! We had an amazing chance to meet Dave s garage and especially Jonah when we had a motor engine sign that showed up during our vacation ! Even if the garage was supposed to be closed on this saturday morning, he was there doing things and he kindly helped us fix the issue, taking on his own time to help us and he gave us the same treatment as if it was on a regular business day. We are from out of town and were vacationing in Glen Arbor and had brake issues. Craig squeezed us into his busy schedule and fixed the problem for us. Our 900 mile drive back home was smooth. Ran into some problems with my car on our way back to Toronto. Originally thought it was a battery problem, but it ended up being a bad sensor. Dave s got me sorted and back on the road in no time, plus checked in when we got home. Fantastic service, incredibly professional, and brought comfort to a pretty stressful situation. Would definitely recommend!

Great & really helpful service! The crew at Dave's garage went out of their way during a busy week look at my fluids & tighten my drain plug after a long road trip. I will definitely bring my car back here anytime I'm in this part of Michigan.

When traveling and away from home, it can be an uncomfortable experience when in need of a mechanic. Thankfully, that was not the case when my truck s check engine light came on recently. I contacted Dave s Garage after making an inquiry with several local people, and spoke with Linda, who scheduled an appointment to diagnose my problem. I found her to be friendly and knowledgeable concerning the issues with my truck. Upon dropping off my truck, I observed the garage area to be one of the cleanest shops I ve seen, likewise, the customer waiting area was comfortable and well stocked with magazines. Linda secured a ride back to the campground I was staying at, and contacted me when the work was completed. Upon picking up my truck, the work that was completed was explained to me, and I was pleased to find that they had even washed the exterior. I am very satisfied with the service I received at Dave s Garage, and even referred a fellow camper with mechanical issues to them, relating my experience. I was very impressed with Dave s Garage in Empire. My car was making a loud noise which was very unsettling.Craig was my first contact by phone. He was very responsive and helpful. He indicated the other mechanics were at a training in Texas which I felt was a very strong positive indicator of good automotive repair serviceI was more than willing to wait until the following Monday when I met Linda in the office. She was extremely helpful fielding myquestions and keeping me up to date on my car repair. The issue ended up being a broken right rear caliper. I very much appreciate the services of the mechanic who repaired/ replaced my rear brake calipers, rotates and pads.I would highly recommend Dave s Garage and look forward to accessing their automotive services in the futureService: Auto brake repair

Dave s was great and honored a brake service warranty on our 2011 Volvo XC90. The steering wheel was vibrating when braking. They started by turning the rotors at no charge. When it turned out the pulsing-throbbing was additionally coming from an inner tie-rod they fixed the tie-rod and did an alignment at a very reasonable rate. The Volvo rides and brakes really smoothly now!After comparing their services multiple times with garages in Traverse City I feel it safe to say they are typically right on par cost-wise. The service is very good too!Z ze We in the Glen Lake area don t need to go far for excellent auto service. The alternator died in our old Ford Explorer and killed the battery with it. The crew at Dave s Garage stayed late and got us back on the road. Looking under the hood things were in far better shape after their work than before. To me that s a sign of caring and craftsmanship. Had a flat tire- put the spare on and made it to Dave s, they looked it over, made sure air pressure and lug nuts were safe for no charge!! Great people!

Awesome service Very fair. Traveling to the area and had my dash lights all come on at once. 90 miles from my destination and 270 from home. Oh $hoot this is not good. Got to my destination okay. Called Dave s and they hooked it to the OBD no codes. They tightened the battery terminals which were loose. Would definitely recommend and but hopefully I won t have car trouble on vacation.Service: Electrical

Our car shouldn t have made it as far as it did, we found out, but because it did, we were able to get fast service at Dave s and they really helped us in a pinch. Craig and Jonah fit me in on a busy Friday when I was concerned about a possible wheel bearing issue. They diagnosed it as a combination problem of exhaust noise and tire vibration, did a tire rotation and resolved my concerns. They were honest and up front about what I could expect and spent extra time with me to make sure I was happy. Dave s Garage Empire did an awesome job diagnosing and replacing the wheel bearing hub on my Subaru. Both Jamie and Linda were professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. If I lived nearby I wouldn t go to another garage ever! They just did a stellar job five stars for sure!!

We were camping nearby, hours from home and my wheel bearing started to fail. Had car trouble while in the area. Several shops were booked 2 weeks in advance. They were able to get me in within 3 days. Dropped off on a Friday and they called same day with a fix. Air did not blow. Took the car in for repair. The mechanic found a mouse nest in the blower and remove it. Everything is fine now. The ride back to Indiana was pleasant with the air conditioning working. Thx to Linda and the mechanic. Great service at a reasonable price.
