Rod and his staff take the time to make sure your automotive needs are met or exceeded. When you have your vehicle repaired here you can feel assured that the job was performed by professionals who care. They work on just about anything under the sun and you can tell they care about each and every one of their customers.

Uncle Rods is the best!They are not corporate owned. This is a family business that really cares about their customers safety and well being. A group of amazing professionals, who know what they are doing. They did an oil change, replaced a front bearing( which came with a 2 or 2 1/2year warranty, including labor). then they replaced some break line and power steering line, and replaced the desperately needed rear rotors, pads, and calipers, which all needed to be done badly, they charged no more then any other place I've ever been to, and they used quality parts instead of junk! The rear break rotors they used were the painted kind so they won't rust in the middle, and get all unsightly. As far as communication, Wendy at the front office was amazing, she kept me up to date, and in the loop, and worked with me and my limited budget, and in the end saved me a few bucks. I found my forever car family! I don't need to go anywhere else! Yes this is a business I would highly recommend. Look what I love about this place is the people! I could see being friends with any of the crew! Like I always say, if you can't trust your Uncle then who can you trust? and they have my full trust! Do not take your car anywhere else. These guys are small town and amazing! Got my jeep back on the road and worked with me to get it fixed around my busy schedule with work and kids. My jeep was new to me and they even took it upon them selves to look at some other aspects of the vehicle and what would need to be looked at soon and what could wait as well as price estimates. Mark is great!

These guys shoot straight and have earned my trust more than once.My wife and I have 2 cars and a truck which have all been in for service over the last 3 or 4 years and we never had any issue.This is the only place I trust to take my little chili pepper (vintage Red mini Cooper).Mark is awesome - even putting in the time during Covid season!

Highly recommended. Over the last 13 years I have had a fair amount of work done on four cars and one pickup truck at Uncle Rod's some maintenance, some repair, and some special/custom/upgrade work. Twice they've inspected cars and brought them up to safe and reliable condition prior to my taking the vehicles on long-distance road trips. They fix what needs to be fixed in a good, prompt, and craftsmanlike manner. I appreciate that they advise what repairs are likely to be on the horizon, and what should be done all at once to avoid duplicate expense by doing a group of repairs that all require some of the same labor, if one such repair needs doing right now and the others are soon to follow. In my experience they use good quality parts and supplies, and in my opinion their shop rate is realistic and reasonable especially for the high quality of work -- it's good value for money.I'm a car nerd, so I am very choosy about who works on my cars and what parts are used. That makes me kind of a pain-in-the-neck customer, and I realize that. But the service writer Mark manages to keep both me and his techs happy: for me, either he sources whichever brand of part I ask for, or if it's something hard to find he lets me supply them, and he's not afraid to explain why my choice isn't a good one and suggest an alternatives. He keeps me well informed as to how the repair work is going. And he keeps the techs happy by keeping the nuisance customer (me) out of their way so they can get the job done. There is a consistent vibe of competence, knowledge, and efficiency about the shop -- I can't really articulate this more, but I appreciate it. Also, they'll work on practically anything that has an engine, as long as it can be brought to the shop. Cars (new and old, common and and unusual), trucks (big and little), boats, I've even seen 'em get lawnmowers and roto-tillers back into action. Bottom line, when I'm in Northern Michigan this is my go-to shop.

Mark and the technician whose name I didn't get repaired my rototiller quickly and at a very reasonable price. I was very satisfied with the help unloading, the communication and the service. Now they get to tackle my boat.

this place is horrible...they had my pontiac g6 for months, and charged me 1800.00 for a clutch and gear shift repair, yet as soon as I got on the highway it would not go into 6th gear, and that is what I paid for. They also tore up my exhaust system and tried to charge me 800.00 more but I told them I didn't have that problem before so he patched it up and sent me on my way...barely made it home..when I called and told them how upset I was with their work, he told me to bring it back when he knew I lived in California. they turned my g6 into a dump.
