One of the best B&B's we've encountered. A great location, updated and very well maintained facilities with a large lot, great views and tons of amenities and within waking distance from downtown. From our arrival through departure Darci provided excellent service and attention to our needs. Her breakfasts were phenomenal. We especially enjoyed the communal breakfast table where we could interact with other guests. Highly recommend if you will be or are going to the Elk Rapids area. We had a wonderful stay at The Spring Lighthouse. I d never seen a B&B with all five-star reviews before, but after our stay, I can see that this review is well-earned. The B&B is lovely home, beautifully decorated in the common areas and our room, and the location on the East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay is gorgeous. A very relaxing, peaceful stay. Darci is a wonderful host, so friendly, and the breakfasts were really special. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We hope to be back soon!

I've stayed at many B&B's during my days away from home however, this certainly ranked at the top. The main reason was Darcy, the Innkeeper! Darcy made me and my husband feel like family and at home from the start. She is the epitome of what all innkeepers should be. The home is beautiful, the surroundings are amazing, but having somewhat go the extra mile to make your stay so warm and comfortable was incredible. Darcy THANK YOU for making our stay so wonderful. I booked a weekend for my husband's birthday. We were not disappointed in the quality of the home, our room, and the service we received. Our Inn Keeper, Darci was a fantastic host and a wonderful cook. Her skills did not go unnoticed. She was also just the most delightful person. She and her husband, Tom, made us feel very welcomed and pampered. We'll be back!Noteworthy details: The furnishings in this B & B were some of the nicest quality furniture pieces and so well appointed, we felt like VIP's.

The Spring Lighthouse is fabulous! You will NOT be disappointed. The place is absolutely beautiful and couldn t want for more! With magnificent surroundings and views all around you from inside and outside, it s just amazing. Darci the Host was very kind and friendly, showed us all around the place and made us feel so at home. And the breakfast was also wonderful! Everything you would need on a trip is in your room or in the house, which you have access to. It was such a pleasure staying here!Noteworthy details: Everything is spotless and extremely clean. The whole house and our room are decorated very professionally and just beautiful. It looked brand new, from the design, the woodwork, the paint, the colors, EVERYTHING! Truly amazing!

I've been telling everyone about the Spring Lighthouse and what a wonderful experience it was. We stayed in the Lake Michigan suite and it was just perfect. The view couldn't have been better and I loved falling asleep listening to the waves washing up on the shore. The whole house was so welcoming and calm and very clean and comfortable. Darci's breakfasts were among the many highlights of our stay. Each was amazing and we had fun getting excited about what would be served the next morning. Darci was so lovely to chat with and Tom is the sweetest. We loved meeting and talking with all the other guests as well, it was so much fun. I'm very happy I found this place and can't wait to come back. It's a perfect location whether you want to hang out at the house, walk into town or take a drive to all the area attractions/wineries. Thank you Darci for showing us such a beautiful time!

I just want to say my wife and I have stayed in quite a few b&b's throughout the country and the Spring Lighthouse B&B is off the chart! Darci and Tom are amazing hosts! They were so welcoming and personable that we felt like we were in our own home and I sure wish it was. From the back patio you are steps from the Grand Traverse Bay. The house and the property were immaculate inside and out. All of bedrooms have a different decor and are very well appointed. We stayed in the "Huron" room with a very comfortable bed, a large walk in tile shower and a balcony overlooking the bay. I'd like to say it doesn't get any better than that but it does! The breakfast that Darci and Tom prepared each morning was incredible! Plus you were just a short walk from beautiful downtown Elk Rapids. I could keep going on but you will have to experience this place for yourself. You won't be disappointed. I know that we will definitely be back. Thank you Darci and Tom it was a pleasure staying with you!

We almost never repeat stay at a bed and breakfast as we like the experience of different places but Spring Lighthouse is an exception. Darcy and Tom are classic hosts, welcoming, helpful and you really do feel like a personal guest in their home. The house is spectacular right by the water, if you leave the bedroom door open you can hear the waves. Beautiful lounging areas with an extensive library. Great rooms, comfortable beds. Coffee and refrigerator in room. Everything spotlessly clean. Wonderful breakfast shared with other interesting guests. Can't find anything to fault. looking forward to our third trip.

We were blown away by the house. Gorgeous views, spacious, clean, updated, and fun amenities. Waking up every morning and being able to see the lake from your bed is so cool. The bathrooms had heated floors, the showers were great, I drank so much espresso in my room... it was all wonderful! The breakfast was also delicious and Darci was a phenomenal host. We were also within walking distance to downtown Elk Rapids for dinner. We hope to be back again some day!

Best place to stay ever!! Darcy and Tom were wonderful and amazing cooks! The highlight was coming downstairs to see what wonderful things were being cooked for breakfast. I may have gained 10 lbs but it was totally worth it! Beautiful Airbnb with gorgeous sunsets overlooking the traverse Bay. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Darcy and Tom!

We had a relaxing couple of days at Spring lighthouse. Darci and Tom were friendly and made you feel welcome. The breakfasts were very good and filled you up. They were served on cute dishes. The house was clean, big and beautiful. We were able to use any part of the house on the bottom floors. We sat around the fire one night and we watched the sunset the other night. It was truly a wonderful experience and the best B&B that I have stayed. Thank you Darci & Tom for a wonderful time.

We spent 2 nights at this B&B for our 43rd anniversary. We splurged on the Michigan Suite and it did not disappoint. With a view of Lake Michigan from every window (including the shower) it was breath-taking. When we returned from dinner on the evening of our anniversary, Darci had a special cake to help us celebrate. It was chilly, so at our request she lit a fire in the fireplace downstairs and we read in the warmth and watched the sun go down. Gourmet breakfasts fortified us for walks to look for Petoskey stones and to explore shops and towns nearby. Thanks Darci!

I can t say enough good things about our stay at The Spring Lighthouse B&B. We came up for a girls weekend getaway and it was amazing. Upon arrival we were greeted by Darci (the Innkeeper). She made us feel comfortable immediately. The rooms are gorgeous and the views from every room in the house are spectacular.We woke up to an amazing breakfast of fruit and yogurt and French toast cr�me br�l�e made from a croissant. It was sooo good!!Staying here was the perfect way to relax and make memories with my friends. I 100% recommend The Spring Lighthouse B&B.The room was gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. There was a love seat and 2 chairs to also relax in. It also had plenty of places to plug in and charge our electronic devices.Rooms: The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was great quality.Nearby activities: Water sports, shopping, hiking, short drive to lighthousesSafety: The town is quaint and quiet.Walkability: It s a short 4 or 5 block walk into town. You can also walk along the shoreline.

Darci and Tom were outstanding hosts at our stay in The Spring Lighthouse, making us feel very welcome in Elk Rapids. Each morning breakfast was delicious, our room (the Superior Suite) itself was spacious and very well appointed, and the location of the house itself can t be beat. The entire backyard looks out into East Grand Traverse Bay and once you get int the water the bottom is shallow and perfectly sandy. They had bicycles, kayaks, a fire pit, and plenty of outdoor sitting areas to watch the sunsets. Truly a wonderful stay - we will be back!

The B&B is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the bay and within easy walking distance to a lovely beach and downtown Elk Rapids! We felt this was the perfect base for our excursions into Traverse City, Glen Arbor and the wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula! Inn keepers Darcy and Tom were amazing hosts! We appreciated their thoughtfulness and attention to every detail. They made our stay memorable!

Perfect get away.We had the smallest from the Huron, but it didn't matter. There was still plenty of room. The shower was incredible, the breakfast was my favorite food on our entire trip, restaurants included. The inn keepers Tom and Darci were so incredibly kind and they absolutely made the trip! We had wonderful conversations and loved the timeb we had together in the morning. Never ever went away from the table still hungry! Plenty to eat and if you were not 100% full they would make you more!The location was perfect, absolutely beautiful right on the water. Short walk to town for dinner and shopping. The house was incredible too, so many things to offer including a quiet library to sit and read without being distributed. The ambiance of the soft music in the background is so inviting to walk into. Everything was meticulously cleaned and neat. Even little snacks to enjoy in baskets laid out for you every day.If I had one complaint, I'd ask to remove the wind chimes. While trying to sleep through a windy night, the chimes made it difficult. But that is it!Can't recommend this place enough, there's a reason it can be tough to get reservations, this is 100% worth it!Rooms: Spacious, very comfortable, very clean!Nearby activities: Plenty to do. Right on the beach and water. Town is a short walk and worth the trip.Safety: No concerns meFood & drinks: Breakfast was to notch every morning. Favorite meal ever in my trip. Snacks and drinks constantly available.Noteworthy details: The architecture and design were stunning.

One's never sure what to expect visiting a new B&B. ? Will it live up to its reviews. ? Is the property dated. ? Are the photos online from its best day ever. ? Why is it called the Spring Lighthouse.We arrived later than expected, probably interrupting the Innkeepers Dinner.Darci greeted us warmly and we chatted for a couple of minutes before making our way up to our room. I was instantly impressed by the charms of this well appointed, wondrous home. Next it was outside to check out the grounds. The sky was overcast but it did not diminish the property's beauty in the least.Time for Breakfast, I mean, it is half the name. We were greeted by Innkeepers Darci & Tom. They are such an incredible couple. The type of people you'd hope to meet on vacation, and then spend some quality time with. Warm, friendly, and so very comfortable to be around. Even if they couldn't cook I would have had a great start to my day. But shortly we were blown away by a delicious Blueberry Stuffed French Toast. I realized we were experiencing the very best of both worlds.I have stayed in some of the top-rated B&B's in the north east quadrant of our country and have never felt so fortunate to be sharing a home. Honestly, six nights was not nearly enough.About the name, "Spring" is very appropriate. The property is so mentally renewing. It, along with Tom & Darci, help create a positive frame of mind. Angst and worries melt into comfort and relaxation. A Reiki massage for the mind. Lighthouse? I'd say two words Light-Home. "Light" (natural agent that stimulates sight & makes things visible). "Home" (the place we feel most comfortable, loved & protected - where we most feel at Home).We can't wait to return. There's no place like Home, even if ... technically, it's not really yours.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Spring Lighthouse B&B. They were so welcoming and friendly, yet we still felt like we had the whole beautiful house to ourselves. The breakfasts were delicious. The room was wonderful, and overlooked the beautiful water. The bed was so comfortable. Elk Rapids itself is so gorgeous. We loved the place and plan to make this a yearly trip!

This is my second time at Spring Lighthouse B&B and I quickly remembered why I wanted to return . The warmth of the Innkeeper, Darci is genuine and made our stay memorable. From the beauty of the lake to the welcoming atmosphere, I will return again and again!Thank you for a lovely weekend!!

What a trip! We had an amazing time with excellent hosts Darci and Tom. The house is lovely and the rooms well accommodated. Breakfast every day was delicious and very filling. Darci is full of good advice on places to eat, and little day trips.We stayed in the Ontario room which was nice to have the balcony for both morning and evening enjoyment of the lake. Michigan and Superior are closer to the water, but have the allure of the waves crashing on the rocks for an audible treat!Day trips to Elk rapids and Torch lake were wonderful.We hope to come again sometime!

In my opinion, Springhouse is among the very finest B&B s in all of Michigan. It offers a stunning location with views that feel like you re in a houseboat. The amenities both inside and out are thoughtfully complete. The hosts are gracious and warm and prepared memorable breakfasts. The room was roomy, had great views, and completely luxurious. But most of all, the feeling that immediately strikes you when entering the house is of a warm and welcome home you feel like you grew up in and don t want to leave.

I rarely give five star ratings, but this one is well deserved. The Spring Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast is gorgeous a spacious home complete with a fireplace, tiled shower with heated floors and towel racks, several libraries, a sandy beach and back deck, easy walking distance to downtown and spectacular views of Lake Michigan out of nearly every window. The breakfasts in the spacious kitchen were gourmet with very generous portions. Darci and her daughter were a lot of fun to be around (and they wore masks). I can't recommend this B&B highly enough.

Our visit at Spring Lighthouse B&B was awesome! Darci and Tom did everything possible to make our stay exceptional. Breakfast was delicious and the time visiting other guests was fun and educational.Elk Rapids is really nice town and we enjoyed our time wandering the shops. We ll be visiting Spring Lighthouse agin!

This place is a true gem, the perfect relaxing getaway for us on the New Year holiday in Elk Rapids. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy and comfortable stay, with excellent hospitality and a small town, personal feel. The home itself is so beautiful and has amazing views of the lake, and Darci and Tom made everything so perfect for our stay. The breakfast was fantastic and the other amenities are levels above any hotel and even other B&Bs. We will definitely be going back!

They say it s all in the details and for good reason. Every detail and every part of this delightful B&B has been thoughtfully considered. We stayed in the Michigan suite and I must say...the most incredible vacation accommodations I ve ever experienced. The view is so amazing it has to be seen to believe. Very private with and amazing bathroom. The house is spacious and full of amenities. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and inventive. Darci is an amazing cook/host. With all the beautiful attractions in the area, we found it hard to leave the house, it s just that nice. This is a special spot. It was worth every penny.
