Rapids Auto Service is freaking awesome! Jake really gives a damn about customer service and takes care of his customers. His prices are fair and he does excellent work. He doesn't believe in charging people for things that they don't need just to make an extra few dollars now. Great prices and great service. Call ahead because they are always booked. That just shows you what great work they do. Fixed a 69 chevy of mine and a 2007. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Rapids Auto! Last night while working my car started acting up. Because I use my car for work I was in a panic so I called them this morning and explained the situation. The man said bring it in and they would check it out. Not only did they test it but they squeezed me in within 15 minutes of my arrival to repair it so I could work tonight! They charged me very little for the parts on top of what it would have cost me to buy them myself locally!! The guys were very nice and I couldn't be more thankful!!Service: Auto emissions testing

I wouldn't take a foreign car here, the old man certainly doesn't care for them. Other than that looked over my vehicle and told me it would cost more to repair than the car was worth. Took it to someone who specializes in foreign cars and was a simple fix. The younger guy who works there is pretty good, polite and professional.

Didn't rate any lower because we ultimately agreed that they won't touch my mother's car. My mom believed it was being fixed for three months, so I had to call and ask for the bill and when I can pick it up. No work done, no parts ordered. In my experience " mechanics" you have to keep calling aren't that good and they left a lot of bad portents and clues of their work.

I live out of state and my car was making weird noises. I came in on very short notice and was serviced right away. The mechanic is was honest and I left within 15 minutes with my issues resolved. Would definitely recommend!

We were leaving Eaton Rapids when right in town are car overheated. We called Jake at Rapids automotive and he said to bring it right in. Jesse worked on my vehicle and figured out the problem, solved it and we are now on our way home. They were very kind, attentive, and helpful. If we lived here in Eaton Rapids Rapids Automotive would be our go-to!

Very rude asked for a quote on a hub assembly and told him I have the part, he said they don't touch other peoples parts and hung up. Called back and asked for a quote with him buying the part and he said no and hung up. Rude, unprofessional, and will never see my business and will never get the business of friends and neighbors.

I will never darken this door again... I have no problem with work they do if your okay with being beat down by condescending people that don't like their job . . Was told not to bring my business back today because someone else changed the parts out and all I was wanting was front end alignment. NO FEAR. WONT BE BACK , EVER !!!!!!!!!!

If I could rate zero stars I would. Took the car for a brake job and they called me saying I needed rotors too, I asked what they were measuring and they said they "just knew" and didn't measure. I said to go ahead but give me back the old parts. The OWNER then said "come get your car, we don't want or need your business". This is a small town, and I've since spoken to others who have had similar awful or questionable service. And then I've heard a few supporters say "they found a problem before I knew about it and saved me", but I'm guessing they fixed things they "just knew" were wrong and those poor people were taken advantage of. Highly do not recommend this business.

If I could give a zero a would. My husband went in to ask a question and the guy working there started swearing at him. Not a good way to treat your customers! They must have changed ownership as we used to go there and they were very good.

I love doing business locally. On our way out of town on a trip up north with the boat, we noticed our battery guage was acting up and the battery light came on. We called Rapids Auto and turned around. They were waiting in the parking lot for us. Didn't even have to unhook the hoat. They ordered an alternator and we were back on yhe road in half an hour. Thanks guys you saved the day....

If I could I would rate them a zero. They are rude with no customer service skills. They don't seem to want business. They take your money and give you a vague diagnosis and want you to come back to take more of your money to see if they can figure it out. I do not recommend this business.
