Had the best possible experience when my car was leaking fluid on my way downstate. Marc got me In immediately. I come to Tawas weekly for work and will now have my vehicles serviced here. Best customer service, highly recommend!

Thank you so much, Marc and Danielle. Marc is good. I put in my own transmission but had a wiring problem I could not figure out. 30 yrs sense I used a mechanic. He impressed me. Figured it out within an hr. Kept me informed, great prices. Check them out. You won't regret it.

Do not take your car there. My girlfriend just left after them telling her they wanted $700 per strut to be replaced. Took it to another mechanic and struts are just fine. Also charged her for a 2 year warranty (without asking) on a wheel barring. mind you this car has over 200k miles and might not see 2 more years. Scam.

Great place for repairs. We have used them multiple times and they are very upfront and open about the issues they find. Our vehicles are always returned to us quickly and they are very accommodating. Great people!

was up this last Friday the Oct. 13th for the weekend and had truck problems. It was 1pm on a Friday and Auto Tech gang got me in and took care of my problems as my gas tank strap broke and rear brakes went. What Great people and service to get me in and get me on with my weekend trip. Also they have a RN working the front desk, "Retired Nurse". She was Great and had good stories. Thank You guys so much. Been a Tech for 43 years and traveling from out of town. Had a issue where I needed to pull my LR brakes off but had no tools. Showed up when they opened and spoke with Marc. Explained what was happening and he got me right in and back on the road in less than a hour. From one Tech to another.. Kudos Autotech and your staff.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I Was going on a road trip South and I needed to get some sensor lights figured out if it was sensor faulting or if needed repair work . My stable track light was on as well as a message to service my stable track was showing up and my ABS sensor light was on as well and was told by another place the ABS sensor needed replaced . I wanted to get my wheel bearing on my driver side replaced as I had gotten passenger side done over a year ago but the truck was sitting for some time before I was able to get a new engine put in it . However Marc found that my passenger side needed replaced as well and he also found that my Cvc axels needed replaced and the boots as they where leaking and the boots where torn . I was very happy with how quick he was able to find what all was wrong and needed to be fixed and replaced. He called me before fixing to make sure I knew what needed to be done and make sure I was able to proceed in replacing both front wheel bearings, both Cvc axels and boots and in doing this my stable track sensor light went off and so did the message about servicing the stable track as well as my ABS sensor also went off after the issues where repaired .Marc gave me the best pricing in town. Infact I was shocked at how good of a deal he gave me compared to other prices I was quoted from others . I am very grateful for all of Marc and his staffs help and I will for sure be bck in the future. Ty so much . Service: Steering & suspension repair

Came up from bay city to see family and work on the car and couldn't quite do it myself. Called and they. got me right in!, fast and friendly, very happy that they could get me right in on such short notice. Would definitely reccomend and will most definitely be back.

While on vacation my husband s battery died and needed to be replaced. When I called to see if they could replace his battery I was told they could and given a price. The person I spoke with on the phone was so nice and answered all my questions. When we arrived my husband was told there was no reason to leave the car it would be fixed while he waited. No more than 20 minutes passed and my husband called to let me know he was all set. I was so incredibly impressed with the service we received! Hopefully I won t need any more car repairs while on vacation but if I do I will absolutely call Autotech of Tawas again!Service: Battery

If give more stars if I could!Phenomenal service. We broke down traveling to Thunder Bay Ontario, not only did they fix us on the cheap, they let us camp in our RV on their lot, for free!Friendly polite and great customer service.Honest and got us in fast.

In an urgent situation, Marc immediately serviced my car and charged next-to-nothing. You will not get the same great service as I did, because the fantastic service I received can not be equaled (however, I am certain that their care and work will certainly rival what I received)!! I always value a genuine and honest person. Especially when it comes to customer service and conducting business. Mark has got to be one of the most honest and upfront mechanics in town. Which I appreciate a lot. Someone who just gives you the direct answer what's wrong with your car, what needs to be done to fix it, and gives you the price to do the repair. Very honest and great customer service. I would strongly recommend anyone in need of any repair to go here. Reasonable prices and just can't rave enough on how good of a shop they are.

We were just passing through along Lake Huron, and we could NOT have asked for a better place to have car problems! They diagnosed the problems & ordered the parts immediately; and since the work couldn't be completed until the next day, Danielle helped us find a place to get food & a place to stay and Marc took us first to the restaurant (Tawas Bay Pizza Company -- YUM!) and then to our Inn. Work was done the next morning and we were on our way -- but we WILL be back to this lovely community!

This place is the best place to get your car serviced/fixed. Don't go anywhere else. Big stores are not customer focused and honest like this company. Shop local.

Not over priced, but not honest at all either. If you have a vehicle you really depend on and these guys work on it I promise it will break down. My wife used to bring her vehicle here, Marc never once mentioned the rusted out leaking oil pan on her vehicle but he sure was happy to keep changing the oil on it with the cheapest oil and filter he could get his hands on even when he was told specifically not to change the oil. He installed junk parts and then lied about it. He actually removed parts from the vehicle without permission and tossed them in the trash. Wouldn't give back old parts or extra parts which is completely illegal. Definitely don't let him inspect your vehicle because that's a joke, he'll be happy to send you a tow truck when you break down though. I'm sure there are some honest shops in the area but this place definitely is NOT one of them.

Will not ever return, Mark was rude and tried sending me on my way with lights dinging on my dash like crazy. No lights were on when I brought it to him. My dad had to get nasty with him in order for him to fix a mistake after I had paid almost 700$ for a rear break job. Then to top it off I had to bring my vehicle BACK a 3rd time for him to do warranty work on a caliper he did. He sure made me wait hours and hours in his shop taking his sweet time. Makes me wonder if it weren't for my dad Marc would have ripped me off 700$ and let me walk out the door with ABS, traction control, break, and stabletrek lights after a simple back break job.Response to owner: you never would have fixed the problem if my dad didn't threaten court. You were literally about to send me on my way worse than when I came to you. Also I have the receipt for the barring I paid for.Service: Brake service & repair

This is a very nice business with very nice people. I came from out of town and waited while they fixed my brakes and a couple of other things. I didn t believe him when they told me it was done already! This is the fastest place I ve ever been to, they get the job done and want to help you out. I was headed north to Tawas which is an hour and a half north of where I live when my low tire pressure light came on. As I pulled off freeway to get air I discovered there was a nail in it. I called Autotech in a panic and they assured me to come in and they would take care of me. Long story short I made it safely to Tawas and Autotech fit me right in for a 20 min patch for only $10!!! Thank you so much for saving my day Autotech. Highly recommend their services.Service: Tires

I can't say enough great things about Autotech of East Tawas. Was recently in the area for a golf outing and my foreign car broke down. I called over a dozen places that wouldn't touch it. I finally found Autotech of East Tawas and they said they would be able to fix it. To my surprise, they fixed it in 1 day! It's hard to find a genuine, honest shop that cares about their customers as much as Danielle and Mark. These guys know what they are doing and are professional and honest. They do good work and fast work, as they do not stretch out jobs to charge more. I've had a couple good experiences with them and will definitely bring my vehicles to them for future work that needs to be done.

Admittedly, my 29 year old pickup was a tough one. I troubleshot a lot of the obvious myself for my originally intermittent problem that bacame solid and I gave up. It took six weeks for auto tech to consider two things I was thinking, computer capacitors and pip in distributer. They finally came to the conclusion. Then couldn't find the part, so I had to. They got it working, finally, but Mark, the proprietar lost some hair on this one. From what I can tell, they are generally competent and fairly priced. I would recommend them. But remember, they can only do reality, not magic ;-)
