Amazing service! Jordan, Miana and Blake are awesome. I have never felt more at home getting service on my vehicle. Every time Ihave went somewhere else for service I have always felt like a paycheck and not a customer! Not at Valvoline East Lansing!! They treated me with respect and like family. Thank you all so very much!! I look forward to my next service.

I went a few months ago on my lunch break. The tech fumbled around tremendously with my engine air filter casing. When he tried puting the casing back together, he must have overtightened the hose clamp (which wasnt rusted) because it snapped. For some reason, the location didn't have a hose clamp on-site... The staff there called the manager, who was on lunch, so he could grab a hose clamp from Autozone. I waited an extra 40 minutes for him to come back. He got back, put the new clamp on, and I got back to work late as a result. The manager Jordan DID give me a $25 coupon for my trouble.However, upon returning the other day to use the coupon, I tried combining it with another $25 coupon that was offered to the general public. Even though mine was a special case, the staff on duty refused to honor more than one coupon, therefore leaving me without any true discount for the trouble they caused.Just two bad experiences on two seperate occassions. I've never had a bad experience at a Valvoline other than at this location.

The Manager Jordan serviced us and he was absolutely awesome. We never felt pressured into services we didn't need and he was funny and personable the entire time. Most pleasanr oil change I've had. First time going to this Valvoline and it was great! Plan on making this one my go to for oil changes. The manager Jordan was very nice and personable. He was able to answer my questions and seemed to be a great team player with the other Valvoline staff. Definitely plan on coming back.

Amazing service! Jordan and his team did a great job fixing my car. He went above and beyond and was super helpful, patient, and upbeat throughout the entire service. He truly made me feel welcomed and taken care of. He deserves a raise.

Was in and out in 30 mins. Staff was kind, helpful, and didn t try to oversell me things I didn t need. they also explained each step and offered helpful discounts! DON T GO HERE.My experience at the grand river Valvoline was terrible. Of course, during the service they tried to talk me in to all sorts of services. New Wipers, which were like $60, even though I replaced mine less than 2 weeks before the oil change. A new battery which was several hundred dollars, despite mine being less than a year old, as well as them trying to tell me that 3-4 other issues were present in my car that I am certain were not. On top of all this, after the oil change I drove up north for the holiday, and by the time I arrived at my destination all of the oil that was in my car had leaked out. One of the brilliant minds at this store did not tighten the oil pan bolt all the way causing a huge oil loss which could have been a lot worse if I had driven any further than I did. After this ordeal, I tried to get through to customer service and was met with impossible wait times to speak with a customer service representative (over an hour wait) and was never able to actually talk to someone.I beg you, please don t take your vehicle here.Service: Oil change

Very friendly staff. But when they checked my air filter, they detached the box from the intake and did not reconnect it. They also neglected to reattach one of the sensors, which caused a small vacuum leak that I didn't find until later, and only found thanks to my brother who used to be a mechanic.When they charged me, I thought I would be charged the standard price for oil but on my receipt I was charged for extra oil, and they did not inform me of this at all. If my car takes extra oil, fine, but at least inform me of the price change.Service: Oil change

Quick, speedy, and friendly service. They gave me a print out of recommended services for my vehicle and did not make me feel pressured to do said services the same day like other garages would. Decent prices too!

They were incredibly friendly and helpful, talking me through every step of the process, which was very nice because it was my first time stopping in. They got everything done that I wanted, and even fixed some things I didn't know needed to be done! The student discount also kept the cost down a bit, which was great. Overall, I had a wonderful experience here!

I always get a little nervous going to get car maintenance type stuff done on my own since I'm a woman who isn't knowledgeable about cars, but they made me feel welcome and were very helpful! I am not one to normally leave reviews unless I am extremely satisfied or dissatisfied, and I am glad to say I could not be happier with how my visit here was! I just needed an oil change and the service was excellent! The employees were friendly and very informative without being pushy. They put in new headlights for me as well and my car feels like new again. They also informed me that as an MSU student I was eligible for a discount. This was just as cheap for me if I had done it myself, and although I had to wait (which the workers apologized for) it was still a quick service. Now I know where I will continue to go for my oil changes while I finish up at school!

I went to get an oil change before having to drive home 80 miles this week for Christmas. I knew I had an oil leak, but didn't realize changing it would actually make it worse. The person who worked with me was honest, and explained why it would make it worse. They topped off my oil and checked my tires anyways. Better experience than I've ever had at an oil place. Definitely go here.

Excellent service! I went in today because my oil light popped up on my dashboard roughly a month after my latest oil change. The staff went great lengths to solve the problem and give me a simple detailed explanation. I especially want to applaud Troy for his demonstrated leadership and customer satisfaction!

I ve been here a few times over the past few years. They have always been helpful and honest. Prices are a little higher than what you would pay from your dealership. They are quick and efficient, and I find that valuable enough to pay a little extra to have some of my life back. Thanks!

This places is absolutely incredible. I normally go there, but this time I had a groupon and a lot of car issues that they almost weren't able to safely work on the car. I got my oil change and they even tossed in replacing my headlight for free (I had the part). Drove out of there extremely satisfied only paying $1.20 out of pocket with Groupon.I'm always impressed with the care and attention they give my car, and the expertise of the employees. I never have a problem paying a little more to receive amazing care and no be heckled into paying for extra stuff.

Stopped in for an oil change as a first time customer, and everything was taken care of very quickly. I liked the communication from the technician, so you know for sure they've topped everything off, checked the tires, etc. The technician also went over mileage-based maintenance recommendations, but I didn't feel pressured to buy them like I have at other places. There was also a discount for being a student at MSU, which was a nice surprise! I'll be returning here for my next oil change.

Fantastic staff working here. Was visiting home for the Homecoming game, had traveled up from a few states away and had an uncomfortable sound coming from my car. Brought it in, and these guys did a once over to the best of their ability for me, and topped all my fluids off. While the problem wasn't something they could take of, they definitely helped ease my mind on the car.

Friendly staff. They're very helpful and don't try to sell you things you don't need. I needed to get my battery tested before the cold snap and they tested it and recommended a battery. They have a five year warranty on them and any battery troubles will be handled free at any Valvoline. I'll be returning for more work this month.

All of the technicians are very friendly and knowledgeable. I pass at least two or three other places that I could go to that are are closer, but I come back to this location because I trust these folks. I drive a 2000 Chevy S10 Blazer with a ton of miles on it. I am told of different services that are available without being pressured to buy all of them. I would definitely recommend this location to any of my friends or family.

Two weeks ago when I was driving on highway on Saturday afternoon 5:45pm, I got a warning of "minimum engine oil level". Luckily, this Valvoline Instant Oil Change store was still open and was the only one open at that time. I drove there before it's closed (on 6pm). The staff were super professional. They found the O-ring for oil tank was not installed properly, which caused the leak. It took them 15 min to replace engine oil, and another 5 min to clean up the leak and help me reset the engine oil detector in car.They saved the day. My family were in the car and we were all grateful, and impressed by the great service they provided.

Rip off price! Went here for a simple oil change. I told both the guys working "I'm only here for an oil change". They proceeded to run through some matinenece checks (which I don't like people drinking with my truck), and in the end ended up oiling fittings, more windshield fluid, and oil filter/oil change. And it costed me just over $98...way too expensive. But I didn't complain because they were nice people, but I have to give a bad review based on a rip off price like that. Full synthetic oil that was put in was 28$ worth and oil filter 8$ i dont know when labor costs were $60 for a 25min service. Won't be going back.

Jim the manager at this location made the oil exchange process very pleasurable and informative. I passed 3 other to come to this location, by mistake. However, I will come back here because of the great service and friendly employees. Great job!

Great job! I came in for an oil change and they noticed a problem with my headlight. Drained the water and replaced the bulb at no cost because I bought one before. Have come here before and will keep coming back.
