Randy is very knowledgeable and always helps everyone out when it comes to keeping their vehicles on the road. He is honest and fair. I am glad to have him as a mechanic. He is the only one I trust.

The Dowker family run an honest business. Randy works hard to keep my cars running and Angie makes phone calls to make sure you get the parts you need at the best price. They have the client s satisfaction and most importantly the safety of the client and their vehicle in mind. Thank you for really caring about me and my Envoy Denali~ Always great service!!! Initially I felt good about leaving my vehicle with downer auto . I was told by the secretary, the owners wife , that my vehicle would be looked at and addressed within a weeks time , however after 3 weeks and some days it had still not even been looked at . When I did finally hear from randy he tried telling me I needed a new battery ( which was just replaced within a month of being dropped off at his shop )He also tried to say that there was a ton of work needed on the front end of the vehicle and wanted permission to do said work . Something didn't feel right and I wanted a second opinion so told him no which turned out to be a very good decision as none of what he said needed done actually needed done .When I said I'd be picking up the vehicle if it wasn't finished within that week ( 4th week) randy became very disrespectful , calling me names and making threats .After this I wanted the vehicle picked up immediately but my girlfriend wanted it fixed and usable and said she would work things out with randy .The vehicle was finally worked on but the work done was not up to par . The list of things to be addressed still wasn't done when we went to pick it up and we had to bring it back to his shop yet again to have him finish the work .Unfortunately even the 3rd time of him having the vehicle did nothing for the work he said he did as the vehicle still leaks fluids and after noticing it was coming from the same area he was suppose to fix , I finally crawled under it and realized he never even tightened the bolts to the transmission pan which was the main concern to begin with .My advise to anyone that's reading this review and thinking of allowing him to work on your vehicle, don't, it will cost you more money in the long run and yous be safer taking your vehicle to someone more reputable and honest.

Fixed my van before our journey out of state. Always keeps us on the road. Never steered us in the wrong.One of the nicest guys you will ever come across.

Love these folks. Randy and Angie are down-to-earth, decent folks. First mechanic I've ever had that doesnt have a permanent scowl on his face, Randy actually smiles and will talk to you about your vehicle and offer multiple options to get the job done whenever he can!
