Most trusted mechanic I've experienced. Eric, Nate, John & the rest of the team provide the most excellent service. They don't beat around the bush or try to get you to spend money unnecessarily. They are honest, friendly and hard working. They consistantly stay busy and all their customers come based on recommendation. They don't advertise. I highly recommended this garage.

Totally unhelpful and wouldn't make any recommendations on how to get my vehicle to them. Not a Michigan native, I didn't know who to call or where to turn and they seemed to not even want the business I was bringing to them.

They were a lifesaver for me. My dealership replaced my breaks less than 2 months ago. After losing break fluid and having issues they seemed very unconcerned and wouldn t see me for 4 days. I looked around urgently to find some to take my car. Macks Garage got me in day off and the issue resolved within 1 business day. Extremely grateful!

The owner & manager contacted me only after I posted a poor review. This is poor customer service. I will no longer do business with this company. They did send me the invoices I had requested. I never received a refund! My car had a booster problem that was repaired for $350 by an honest mechanic! Poor work, Mack Garage!

Grease. The service was great but the atmosphere was even better! This is an old school garage and they take care of their customers. A number of bays were active when I picked up my car and people there were working but still friendly. Prices, service and reputation is why you should go to Mack Garage. I think my favorite thing was that the building was old and smelled like a garage should smell like: grease, sweat, stability.

It was really easy to schedule an appointment and Erik did a wonderful job fixing a leak on my car and flushing my radiator. Drop off and pick up were extremely smooth. While the overall price was reasonable, I did notice on the receipt that 1 hour of labor was charged at a rate of $140. I'm not sure how many hours of labor the job took, but this rate seems a bit high for an independent garage. I will confirm the labor rate beforehand in the future.

I thought I already did a review I ve had two cars serviced here for a year or two. Maybe a half dozen times. So Eric and his crew are good at what they do, fairly priced, easy to talk to, honest, have a reasonable window for scheduling work and a reasonable turn around time. I really can t imagine what else I would want from someone to with whom I entrust my precious Toyota FJ Cruiser.

Awesome job! I take my car here any time I need something fixed with my car or even a simple oil change. I just had a blown gasket and they fixed it and it's running perfectly! Had suspension springs replaced about two years ago, went to upgrade struts today and noticed that the single use bolts i was charged for here were never replaced. I literally won t go to any other shop. It s a relief to know there s a place where you can trust the mechanics to not only do great work but also to do it at the most cost effective price possible. Eric has definitely earned my trust over the years. I m grateful to have found them.

Straight forward service with fair pricing. No dishonesty or trying to make a buck. Just plain good ole mechanic service. And appointment based so just call ahead to schedule.

I have been using Mack Garage for almost a year. They have always provided excellent repair services first for my 2005 Ford aTaurus, and more recently for my 2000 Ford Mercury. Pricing has been fair and reasonable.

Super nice, upfront mechanics. I took my car in for an issue I couldn't figure out, and a tech took the time to tell me what was wrong and how I could try to fix it before bringing it in. To me, that's a tell-tale sign of an honest mechanic (not trying to rush me in and charge me. Next time I have a problem I can't fix they'll be my first choice!

Wherever I move to a new city I always struggle to find a garage that I trust. I don t know a lot about cars, so I m slightly paranoid of being up-sold for services I don t need. So when my car broke down a few months after moving to Detroit, I was very lucky to find Mack Garage based on all the positive reviews I read online. When I took my car to another garage first, they quoted me $1,700 for the fix, with a laundry list of issues that didn t seem related. At Mack Garage, they said they could do it for $300, did the work quickly, and were great to work with. Most recently, my brakes were grinding and I was able to get my car in that day, and they had it fixed by the next afternoon, despite being extremely busy. Overall, extremely fair prices and great guys running the shop. Can t recommend them enough to anyone in the Detroit area!

Came here this past week by a friends recommendation. After checking around for a few quotes, they had the fairest estimate to replace my starter. They were nice and professional even when the security system in my truck threw them through the ringer. I'm glad to have found a good garage.

Mack garage is one of the best. Honest, transparent. They treat women(et all) needing car repairs with respect. They don't try to over sell you. I've been a customer for couple yrs and staying with them. Check them out

My daughter's car developed a severe power steering leak. She is away for college so I was not able to service it and we had to rely on a local mechanic. These guys did a great job. They treated her very nice, took great care of the car, fixed the issue quickly and charged us a lot less than what I feared. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation but didn't. No doubt she will use them again for any other work. Thanks guys!

This is hands down the best crew of mechanics in the city of Detroit. I've been here twice for service prices were on point, service was extremely fast. Each time I was given a detailed list of what was worked on, what it cost and how long it took no hidden charges / repairs / issues / etc. I've recommended to friends with zero regrets.
