If you're having car troubles in Detroit, this is the place to go. Jay and his team treat you like family and will do everything in their power to make sure you have a safe and working vehicle as quickly as possible. My truck had a complicated issue with an intermittently locking wheel which took a lot of trial and error to resolve. Jay and his team NEVER GAVE UP. They worked tirelessly and efficiently to diagnose the problem and provided me updates and explanations the whole way through. They never talk down to you and are genuinely invested in making sure you understand exactly what is going on. They present you with all options to best fit your needs and budget. Because of Jay and his team, I was able to make it home safely for the holidays. Everyone needs a trusted mechanic, and I've found mine.

I had to get some work done on my 2011 Malibu LTZ I just purchased and Jay took GREAT, and I mean GREAT care of me! He gave me discounts on labor as well as my signal switch! If y all need any kind of work done take it to Jay s, I can promise you he ll take great care of you and have your car running like new! It feels like I got a new 2015 Malibu!

I will always come back here. In my opinion Jay's is the best not only is he an honest & good guy, he's professional, respectful and does great work. I referrer any and everyone who has mechanic horror stories or just needs vehicle repair . I've been coming to Jays for 4 yrs and never have they let me dwn . Im the happy customer. Jays came through for me at a really challenging point in car ownership. He and his team were proactive with ordering parts (even before my insurance had assessed the damages), communicative and informative (never once made me feel blindsided or confused), and generous with their time. I don't have the most expensive vehicles on the plant for sure, but I definitely am grateful for what I have and treat them that way.If you are the type of person who is skeptical of most deals, thinking there to good to be true. Or have trust issues either of quality service and / or taking advantage of you because they are holding your car hostage all torn apart, then you are not alone.I've worked on all my cars for the past 30 yrs. and done everything but rebuild or replace engines and transmissions. So when it comes to having someone work on my vehicles, I expect the quality parts and highest standards of service. I don't walking through the door. I let experience speak for itself. I found Jay by chance as a suggestion from a parts purchase. I had torn my shoulder and couldn't work on mine or my fiancee car. I felt pretty helpless and uneasy, honestly. I kinda hovered overhead while they we're doing the work... thankfully, Jay didn't take that personally. He knows that his employees aren't going to drop the ball. Since then, I have been diagnosed with life-threatening illness and have now been unable to work on my vehicles for the past 4 yrs. Jay has been right there helping take care of my vehicles. It remains to be seen how long I will be disabled or survive this illness, but one thing is for sure I will continue to bring my vehicles to Jay's for anything they need.Jay, I just say thank you for your fair prices and consistently great service!

Horrible business. I ve been robbed. They fixed things they weren t supposed to be fixed Then undid the work because that wasn t what the problem was in the first place. Then someone called me with one price but when I arrived at the business they tried to charge me an extra 100 dollars . I ll never come here again. Dear ladies. Take a knowledgeable man with you to these car shops. They waiting to rob us. Shame Shame Shame

After having my car towed in because it stalled and wouldnt redtart. Jays went above and beyond to see if they could find out why. The car started for them no issue. Gave no codes or indication of the stall. They let it run took for road tests tried to get it to duplicate the issue it gave me. But the car wouldnt do it. I was called and inforrmed they could find nothing wrong to come pick it up. I was charged nothing for all the time they took. I am deeply appreciative for this. They now have a loyal customer.

Jay runs his shop quite well; the shop's organised, clean, and well maintained. Twice in the past four months I've had to bring my ailing, ex-fleet service Ford to his shop for problems I couldn't deal with myself: Radiator R & R and destroyed starter refusing to be removed (normally I can eaisly deal with such problems). I was fortunate in that I was able to get my car in in the morning and have it back just before close of business the same day. As far as fees for his shop's services, they are at the current market level and Jay is too much of a caring human being to overcharge (much less cheat) a customer.

This place is one of the fastest auto repair shop I've ever been too! This is the second visit and I was in and out both time in under 45mins! Professional and friendly will definitely be bringing car back and recommend others too as well!

This is a REALLY GOOD establishment where the gentlemen are helpful and knowledgeable, polite and the service is no nonsense fast!!!!From Jay the owner to the guys on the floor, they know their stuff.My battery went out (after 13 months of use!!!) and Jay provided me with a printout of where my battery life was in comparison to what it should be. He also let me know it wasn't my alternator and installed a new battery without an appointment: I was in and out.Jay's does good work and you can trust them and that's hard to say in days and time like these.They know my 2015 Honda with more than 137,000 miles.Kudos guys, great work!!!!!

These guys were prompt,knowledgeable and eager to help and repair my car. They were professional and friendly and i cant thank them enough. The price for the work they did was awesome compared to what a dealership would charge! I would definitely recommend them! I've never been to a Auto repair shop that never tried to cheat you because your a woman until I came here to this Auto repair shop. This is my mother's mechanic I also found out recently that my coworker has been going to J for over 5 years. I dropped off my car Saturday afternoon and as soon as I walked in I was greeted immediately helped in the office and spoke with Jay about what was going on with my Mini Van. Although I came in late Saturday J assured me that by Monday he would get back with me but what was going on with my vehicle I had been screwed around by so many other mechanics I'm confident Jay and his staff will get the job done. I've should I listen to my mother when she told me to go to him years ago.

Most importantly as a female, Jay's doesn't leave me with guess work and the need for second opinions. Jay's provides dependable and trustworthy service, knowledgeable, timely, efficient, conscientious, and the costs are exceptionally reasonable considering the care and attention that he delivers to his patrons and their vehicle. Hands down the best auto service shop in the city. I ve been coming to this establishment since 2017 & 2 cars later Jays Auto is the only place I allow to touch my vehicles. Not only is the service exceptional, the guys up there actually care about their job & take pride in their work. Jay isn t money hunger either so you don t have to worry about being overcharged for something & you still get quality work. I just recently had a new battery installed & work done to my engine. They took care of the work expeditiously like always. I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone I know. There was a clunking noise when I hit bumps in the road and my brake were squeaking . I need a lot of work done. Ball joint, brakes n rotors in front n back, idler arm and a brake drum. I left it overnite and the job was completed the next day by 2pm. My car rides like new. I have been coming here for about 5 years and I have multiple vehicles. Service and staff are always the best. Family recommend Jay's auto repair. It was my first time in the shop. They were friendly fast and efficient. The owner of the shop took the time to personally look under my hood. A complicated starter job only took them 40mins to do. My Honda Pilot stopped running while I was driving down the freeway. My alternator went out. After a tow to Jay's. They got me in and had the parts and replaced my alternator and gave me an oil change and had it back to me by 230pm the very next day! Great work guys!!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change
