Worked great for a few months, then left front started to sag. Only help was "swap them from left to right to make sure its the springs" I'm pretty sure a stored car doesn't randomly sag. (also measuring the gap between coils from left to right shows they are collapsing!!) Buy suspension parts where you can deal with someone in person. Sadly a waste of money, when i had always heard such great things

I ordered springs for my car and they didn't make the springs the way I wanted them. Iel spoke with the lady at the front desk and she said that we always ask questions about what modifications have been done to the vehicle. In my case they never asked if I want a 2.5 inch or a stock spring. The only option they gave me was to buy the set they made and we can make you a new set and they are going to be 500.00 a piece plus. They also had the wrong insert on the springs they made. I would be very hesitant to get anything made by them. If you have a hotrod get your stuff for Heidts Automotive, LLC.

Stuck in the 60s. The order process is painful with no details. You will not be able to tell what is in stock until order is placed. Pricing is on the high side too. Needs to get with the program.

I ordered a complete set of leaf springs for my 1960 Willys Jeep Wagon over two years ago to replace the sagging worn out original springs. I spoke with someone there regarding what I wanted and decided on a 1" over stock height. I was told this was no problem. They took months to arrive but was told, and I accepted, that COVID was to blame.Rented a shop lift and did the swap out myself. When I let the Wagon down, it was quite disappointing to see the Wagon settle down to what appeared to be stock height. By the time I had driven it home it was at the same height as the old worn out springs.Took photos and called Eaton Detroit. They said they would replace the springs, but then only the 2 rear springs arrived. When I called and asked about the fronts, was told they were fine and would not be replaced.I again went through the trouble of replacing the springs, and at first the rear height was acceptable, but within two months of intermittent driving they settled to below stock height. When I contacted Eaton Detroit stating that their springs had failed, I received a response telling me I had to ship all 4 springs back to them, on my dime, for them to inspect. I found this unacceptable as I'm not going to have my vehicle sit on jack stands for months while they decide what to do.I did however drive the truck to a local spring shop here in SoCal known for their Baja race truck springs. They looked at the ED springs and mentioned that the leaves appeared thinner than stock and that they had probably been "cold arched" to achieve the lift, which will only "hold" for a brief time. They pointed out the springs were now reverse arched, and would only sag lower in time.Unfortunately, I'm out almost 1400 dollars and a couple days of hard work for a poorly made product that the producer won't stand behind. The vehicle has less than 1inch of spring travel on both front and rear axles. I didn't do my homework: checking reviews and looking at other sources. I did however purchase another Willys Wagon and now have the stock springs on that one to compare and yes, the Eaton Detroit spring leaves are thinner and of fewer count. Funny that the sales pitch the guy gave me was that they have the OE specs for the springs and that's what they use to build theirs. It appears Eaton Detroit panders to the vintage/classic/ hot rod sector. The demographic is heavy on the older aged crowd and unfortunately are some of the most susceptible folks to poor products, service, scams, etc. I can only hope that they do their homework before deciding to use Eaton Detroit.FWIW, the attached photo is of my wagon with the ED springs, note the rear tire clearance. Hardly close to a 1 inch over stock lift.

I am truly appreciative to Mike and his team. When I called in I explained what I was looking at doing. Mike took specific information from me about the car, tire sizes, engine size, transmission etc to ensure I was delivered exactly what I was looking for. He also gave me a couple of recommendations to make installation easier. Shipping was way faster than expected! I cannot believe a few of these reviews. If its not 5 star I wouldn't even read it. They are excellent! Thank you!

I ordered a rear leaf spring for my 1975 Corvette. The person I spoke with was great. Turned out there were a few differant springs that were made for my vehicle. The gentleman was very informative and patient. Not only was this person an asset to his employer, he was very helpful to me. The parts that were shipped to me came quickly and they were of top quality. Everything fit perfectly. I recommend Eaton Spring of Detroit to everyone, and I will do business with them in the future.

Same issue as a few others had. My leaf springs were 2 lower than I ordered. I filled out their sheet asking about modifications and listed ALL of them. When the springs arrived they were just sitting on my front door step separately with no wrapping or anything at all to protect them.My mechanic put them on and noticed the rear was now 2 lower than my front. I called and was told maybe my stereo system in my 1950 Ford was causing a drop. First of all I notified them of EVERY mod I had in the car. Second, the stereo wasn t even in there at the time of installing the leaf springs. And even if it was, I ordered custom heavy duty springs anyway and they were notified of that. So then I took and sent pictures. Now instead of the stereo equipment weight issue they first threw at me, something else was allegedly missing from my car that was causing the two inch drop. It s funny because the car sat perfectly stock with the 30 year old springs I had on there. I just added the new leaf springs because I was putting a custom Strange rear end in and a higher HP engine. All I got was excuses instead of just saying they sent me 2 lowering springs instead. So now I have to order 2 lower springs and shocks in the fronts so the car sits right from another company.Take the advice of others that gave bad reviews. Stay away from this place! I normally look at reviews first, but didn t this one time. If I would of seen the reviews of others that received the wrong size springs, I would of looked elsewhere.

Found this company 25 years ago after restoring a 1969 Dodge SuperBee . Ran out of money near the end of the restoration and bought some cheaper Leaf springs from a Mopar Supply house.(Before Internet) Big mistake as they were sagging badly in a matter of months. Found Eaton Detroit Springs and the rest is History. The quality is awesome ! You get what you pay for and these people know what the Hell their doing. Just ordered some coil springs for a 69 Fastback Mustang I'm working on and they arrived today.(Fast Shipping) Look awesome and I'm sure they will exceed my expectations again.

Eaton Detroit Spring is a fixture in Detroit, and most deservedly so! I have ordered several sets of springs for them, and have always been 100% satisfied. They sweat the details, and make sure to get everything right.Visiting their location on Michigan Avenue (if you are local or visiting) is a education, too. The very first set of springs I ordered were for a 1962 Mercury Meteor. They opened a tray of blueprints, and pulled out a set of 50-year-old blueprints for my car's springs. You can get stock ride height, or modified. My most recent set of springs required a larger-than-stock spring eye radius, and they handled this request seamlessly and with no confusion. The resulting springs work great! My highest recommendation!

Springs were no difference from rock auto and they charge restocking fee. I tried to exchange springs for a 2inch lower and she advised me to cut the springs myself rather than sending them back and getting new ones. I wouldn t recommend using this company to a friend and this is why I m leaving this review.

I ordered leaf springs, mounting kit, and shocks for a 69 Z/28. I sent pictures, with measurements, of exactly what they asked for, and what I wanted. However, after mounting the hardware it was an inch too low. They readily admitted they had sent me the wrong leaf springs. Their solution was for me to remove the leaf springs, at my expense, send them back, at my expense, and remount them, at my expense! It would be cheaper for me just to order the correct springs from another company. I would NOT do this again!!!

Ordered a set of springs that were supposed to be a "2 in lower spring for the rear of my car. After I put them in the rear sat really high. Called The Company and they said the springs would settle down. After 700 miles they were still the same height. 2" under from another company isnt 14.96". When I pulled the springs out and measured they were 19"! And those were supposed to be two under stock. Called and the secretary that answered was very rude and argued with me. Two emails and I still haven't heard. Finally heard from them after I called and they didn't receive my emails so Mike my sales rep shipped out the right springs today and personally said he would inspect them for height. If you work with the company the best route is phone rather than email.

I have a 64 Ford Fairlane 500 that I just installed all new suspension on and while I had the coil springs out I decided to do a 2 inch drop , did alot of research on cutting springs and measured for a 2 inch drop and cut them re installed them and it dropped it 4 inches . Took them back out and ordered EATON 2 inch drop springs they were there in a few days , installed them and they were PERFECT ! Great stance and drives great .Needless to say " should have bought EATON SPRINGS first !!! "Thanks EATON DETROIT SPRINGS.......Rick

Sent a spring for my Indian motorcycle sidecar they said they could fix the broken leaf. 6 weeks later they never started or looked at it yet. Every time I called them they said the person that was working on it wasn t working that day. I had them ship it back to me. It showed up in a box that was open and not one piece of packing in the box. The box was wide open not sure how it didn t fall out of the box. That s no way to treat someone else s property

I purchased -2inch dropsprings for the front and rear for my 2011 crown victoria LX. I told them on the phone its an LX NOT AN INTERCEPTOR!!!! They obviously sent me interceptor springs because my car is now lowered only half an inch!!! Interceptor springs are taller and thats why i was adamant on the phone that i have an LX!!! Money down tbe drain. DO NOT ORDER SPRINGS FROM EATON!You will be screwed.

I'm a Canadian buyer. I phoned EATON to purchase 1 1/2" lowering Springs and was prepared to pay the ridiculous price point for a quality product. However, that was not the case. I received stock size springs and paid $620 CAD for them.I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS

Had EATON build a set of front coil springs to replace the aging OEM springs on my '02 Mercury Grand Marquis. Took them to a Ford dealer to put in while they changed out the ball joints and tie rod ends. Mechanic came back and said that the springs were not only too big to fit, but that even if they did fit the front end of the car would be lifted significantly and the ride would be horribly stiff. So, that's $225 down the tube...

I will never do business with this company again. I ordered a set of Heavy Duty springs having a spring rate of 180 and they sent me springs having a spring rate of approximately 167. This is the spring rate of Standard Duty springs and not Heavy Duty according to their website. When I called and explained to them what happened I felt they were very deceptive and rude.

sent defective springs and wouldnt return my money because they were "custom made". custom made or not, they were defective. not justification to rip someone off. left many messages over months, no return phone calls. highly DONT RECOMMEND.

If you decide to do any business, don t deal with Mike. He has no business dealing with customers. On top of being a terrible listener, he doesn t have good communication skills. The worst customer service experience this year already.

Extra leaves is just what I needed. After working with Mike a few minutes he provide me some "Springly wisdom" And we leveled up my truck and added the capacity it needed. Even on a seldomly seen vehicle.
