Canadian here, and needed a hand when my car stalled and wouldn't start right DT in Detroit. Not only did they arrange a tow for me but they were able to diagnose and resolve the issue on under 24hrs. Great customer service and although I hope to not need my vehicle repaired while stateside again, they'll be my first call. Thanks again for your professionalism and help when this Canadian was in a bind!

This is the lowest level I could give or else I would have gone lower. The manager, YaYa referred to me as an animal. Don t be fooled by the brother or boss terms they use. When they get angry, how they really feel becomes apparent. I will NEVER patronize this establishment again and neither should any self-respecting human being.

TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE THE INSPECTION!!I drove my car to campus auto.. told the man I wanted him to fix my car because after I received an oil change & flush, my car overheated. He says it ll cost $70 for him to look at it. I agree to pay $70 and this cost will go towards the repair.Mind you I drove my car to shop with no problems from overheating. I open my hood and do a visual inspection myself to try and determine where coolant is leaking from. I stood outside looking touching, grabbing on hoses to inspect where the coolant is leaking from. I even went as far to google if and how can an engine flush cause your car to overheat. The reception/technician says he ready to pull my car in. I proceed to tell him the symptoms my vehicle been experiencing and how I think my cooling system may be clogged from debris from the flush. The technician assures me, relax everything will be fine, I ll treat your car like it s mine. The technician/receptionist tells me I need a new radiator I may have a blown gasket, there s leaks everywhere. He says it s gonna cost anywhere between $1,400-$4,000 it I have to get engine replaced. Don t drive car home, you can blow a gasket he says.. he strongly recommended I don t drive car back and how they can finance the repair cost if I have job and take money out my check every week.I asked, what did you do to my car? Technician responds with, I poured coolant into your car to see where leak was coming from after he hoisted it up. He removed the bottom engine cover. That s when he opens the hood of my car.. and I notice my hose from radiator to engine has been broken off. I inform them that my hoses weren t broken before you inspected the vehicle. The receptionist and technician kick me out the shop, tells me to get off their property and threaten to tow my car away. I could no longer drive away because they disconnected & damaged my hose, which immobilized my vehicle.I sat out in the cold for hours, because he kicked me out of waiting area, waiting on a tow truck. I incurred additional cost and my vehicle was damaged at their hands. And kicked out and cursed as if I were trash, and couldn t even drive my car home. Unethical business practices, price gauging and directly lied to my face, lack of integrity.Inhumane encounter.

I gave Campus Auto so many chances. They re generally honest people who will do their best to make it right, but the stress and time I wasted on shoddy labor can t just be refunded. They insisted several issues were resolved that have in fact followed me for over a year. I had to cancel trips multiple times because of an emissions issue that they claimed was fixed, but in fact was never resolved. I don t think there was a single visit where I didn t have to return to tie up some sloppily unfinished loose end, which included peripherals falling off the bottom of the car after a complete inspection. Plus, very overpriced. I would encourage you to find any other shop in the city.

Doesn t even deserve one star. I scheduled to drop off my car. Three days later they still hadn t even looked at it! I was without a car for days by the fourth day I call and they finally look at it by end of the day . So fifth day they order the parts and tell me it will be 800$ for my 2002 Subaru Outback. Tie rod and some tires etc. I said I didn t even want tires . I was planning to get those elsewhere. I left. They wanted 40$ just for holding my vehicle for almost five full days!!! That s how long it took for them to just look at it! I took my car to a different shop and they said my tie rod only needed a bolt not to be replaced. And it needed one other thing which only cost me 200$. This was one of the worst experience I ve ever had at an auto shop in my life. This is the type of place that wants to overcharge and tell you a bunch of stuff you don t need! (My experience was in 2020 so if it s still same owners I wouldn t go back)

Great, fast, helpful service! Friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming staff. A couple different times they've squeezed me in for an emergency service, and they never overcharge and are very honest. They even patched a tire for no charge. Great people!

Went to this auto shop for a few years and would typically feel good about the work they did. But sometime in 2021 had a 2019 chevy malibu with a coolant leak that really needed to be fixed. Called to have them inspect the vehicle which was $50 and to be told I needed a new radiator, and struts, and it would cost me $1,350.The issue with the situation was the absurd price gouging (parts and repairs) when all the vehicle needed was a new lower coolant hose ($40-$50 dollars) and at most the repair could have cost $200 - $300. They couldn't tell me what the main issue was (i.e. lower coolant hose) even though I paid for an inspection and waited about 1 1/2 hours for them to find something that another mechanic found within minutes of looking under the vehicle.

I don t know what to say but they are literally the best with everything. my car used to mess up all the time and making weird noises and I took it to 3 different shops they all charged me $800+ and it didn t take long till the problem came back and ever since I took it to them it haven t came back on and the price was like half of what the other shops charged me. I definitely highly recommend going there to fix your car.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Auto body & trim repair, Auto windshield repair, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, Auto battery replacement, Auto power window repair, Steering & suspension repair, Auto exhaust system repair, Painting, Auto glass repair, Auto water leak repair, Auto side window replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto A/C recharge, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Body & Trim, Auto brake repair, Tire rotations, Auto rear window replacement, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Transmission replacement, Side view mirror repair, Auto detailing, Auto A/C replacement, Auto exhaust system replacement, Wheel alignment, Auto sunroof glass replacement, Transmission repair, Brakes, Auto battery maintenance, Auto tire replacement, A/C installation & repair, Auto emissions testing, Auto windshield replacement, Air conditioning, Vehicle safety inspection, Wiper blade installation, Auto interior vacuuming, Auto body & trim replacement, Auto glass replacement, Car waxing, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement, Battery, Oil change

This is a great business, and the owner is a great guy, while the employees seem happy to help in fixing the problem. I had a flat tire and couldn't get the wheel lock lug nut off because I didn't have the tool. So I had to drive over a mile to try my luck with Good Year, but they refused to try and said it would cost upwards of 80 bucks for them to grind the nut off, but offered Campus Auto a little down the street from them. They were able to use an extraction tool to take off the lug with minimal effort and a put on my spare for a great cost, much cheaper than Good Year who only offered to grind the nut off.All time best experience I have ever had, and would recommend Campus Auto for any kind of auto repair for an affordable price.Service: Tires

I had been a customer of Campus Auto Repair for several years, so it was a no-brainer that I took my car there when I hit a large pothole. With the sound my car was making, it seemed that there was a rock stuck, and I assumed it was an easy fix. However, the estimate they provided me to fix several parts on my car - a 2013 Toyota Prius - was $13,900. I was shocked that a pothole would cause that much damage (much more than the car is worth) and stated there was no way I could afford that much to repair my car. The employee said they could possibly do it for $12,000, which was still more than the entire car was worth. There was no way I could afford that, so I told them I was declining to repair my car and took it home.I ended up taking my car to a different auto shop, where they said the only thing wrong with my car is a broken strut, something that costs a few hundred dollars to fix.I will never be returning to Campus Auto, as this has me now questioning every repair they have made to my car.

I went in because of my oil light and fuel gauge but they called me back with $1250 worth of repairs. Told me I needed a whole new fuel pump, rear brakes, serpentine belt, and an oil pressure switch. And that price doesn't include an oil leak and transmission fluid leak. I ended up taking it somewhere else and really only needed a new serpentine belt and had an oil pressure switch leak. My oil light was due to the leak and the fuel gauge is because my car is 20 years old and i dont need a whole new fuel pump for that. My brakes are fine, they are slightly worn, again because my car is 20 years old.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Good communication is important between customers and any shop. This shop is very good at that. I'm waiting to see the result of their work. They do have a sincere desire to retain customers by doing good work at a fair price. I needed all four brakes lines replaced which was a difficult job and they did it well. I certainly would recommend them for this type of job.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

This was hands down the BEST auto repair experience I have EVER had the pleasure Dyaa, was helpful, informative, friendly, and empathetic! He set my expectations, regarding the entire process and eased me through the anxiety of this rough time. My entire experience with this auto shop is ranking top performance, within all of my lifetime experiences! Despite the sour situation, Dyaa and the management team made this a seamless, painless experience. I wish all business were this outstanding in performance, efficiency, and kindness.
