As a female most experiences with shops will try to treat you like you don t know any thing about cars, then try to tell you have every problem but what is truly wrong with your vehicle. I can say I did not experience that at this shop. The customer service was great followed by the mechanics. I will continue to use them in the future with any problems auto related because of the honesty and service here.

Everyone! Go somewhere else! They will keep your car for months, not work on it, and charge you for it. I was there this morning and watched at least 3 cars being towed/driven off their lot and the owners of cars were telling some scary stories about this place. There was also a group for their car, but it was inside, been at shop for 6 months (6 months!) And they are charging him storage fees! And the one he was with, already had gotten his cars from the lot a month ago and has to now take them to court to get his money back. That is ridiculous!!! I need to take my car in, and arriving at this place tells me NOT HERE! I don't want to go months without my car for sure!!! And I don't feel like hassling to get my money back. So not here for my car work!

Have been bringing my vehicle here for about 2 yrs now and always had great service. My daughter had problems with her car and Kenny explained to her what was going on. Didn't take advantage of her and helped her on her way. I will definitely do business with them again.

Do anybody knows who the owner is ??? And do you have a phone number for them.. because if I don t get my 3500 dollars back I will have this place shut down.. and take them to court for not fixing my car and overcharging me.. this is how I pick up my car.. they basically took my car apart and didn t fix nothing and charged me 3500. And when I asked for a refund because they didn t fix anything.. the manager or supervisor hung up on me and told me they not fixing nothing.. because it was another mechanic problem.. so if anybody know the owner please send me a number or email before I file court papers Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Auto emissions testing, Brake service & repair

Great SERVICE! Awesome Mechanic (Ken) & Customer Service Rep(Matt)! The owner was outstanding! I came in on an extremely busy day, The guys in there was extremely helpful! You could tell they was busy with many car repairs. They didn t hesitate to helped me install a battery on my car. The price was unmatched! I highly recommend everyone to go check this great repair shop! Special shoutout to JASON, MARK & KEN (The Doll).

The folks who don t give this place 5 stars are on so many perc 30s it s not even funny. I m currently trying to figure out how to hack Google to give them a 6/5.I absolutely hate the car buying process and the repairs/maintenance that comes with it. It is a difficult and tedious task for me to find a place/person that I feel confident in when making such a commitment. I will scour reviews and websites and get any bit of information I can get but then I feel as if I can t trust those sources either. So, if you re someone like me and you get anxious/nervous when it s time to take your car in to get looked at because you don t know if you can truly trust the people you re taking it to This review is for you!I have been looking for a brand used car for 2 months. I have test driven 3 cars and brought all of them to these guys. Each time they work with me on timing (as long as you work with them, they work with you ten fold) and I watch what s going on from the window and if Matt isn t busy we have a good conversation about whatever we feel like talking about. After their inspection was complete they d give me an incredibly detailed report and were unfathomably patient and eager to answer my many follow up questions. After each report I came away with a perfect sense of how good the brand used car actually was and what, if anything, the vehicle would need now or in the future.I have now made my purchase and brought it back (for my 4th overall visit) for them to repair an electrical issue with one of the aftermarket headlights (known issue that was discussed during the initial inspection a week ago).These guys are professional, knowledgeable, helpful, respectful, patient, fair, AND they have earned my complete trust and confidence in their work and their word. I got my inspections and work done at an amazing price, got an easy, stress free experience, and they got themselves a life long customer.Just bring your vehicle in and relax. You re in honest hands at Dearborn Total Automotive.

DONT USE THIS MECHANIC! The manager mentioned in previous comments no longer works there. They lost their license at one point and had my car. I have a large family with many cars. 1st car brought in was for a break issue, breaks were replaced however car was still having issues with ABS. I ended up pulling the the sensor and that fixed the problem. 2nd was a truck starter went, truck was fixed in a timely manner. 3rd was an Escalade brought it in for rough start issue, when I got it back the car had an entire different issue, basically it was accelerating by itself. Brought it back to them, was told it was fixed picked it up, issue was unresolved, brought it back again was told it was fixed picked it up drove it home the acceleration issue was fixed however now it was leaking oil( car was not leaking oil beforehand) brought it back to them again, another charge for this fix. 4th car was an escape, brought in for a rumble. Was told it needed a major tune up for a price of 1400.00, then was called back stating in could be an engine issue, then was called the next day stating it was a transmission issue and would be 850.00. I asked is this the complete total for the car. I was told yes. My husband picked up the car paid the 850.00 then I get a call with them telling me I owe them 1400.00 more. Needless to say WE WILL BE finding a new garage

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Paid 5100 IN FULL for a them to fix what they say was the problem (transmission). My jeep was drop off Jan 16th, my husband I was told it would be a week it will be ready. Of course it wasn't ready this went on for over 3 weeks, we are the only ones doing any communication. Its sad that you have to keep calling a shop that suppose to call you like they said they would. The last conversation They told MY HUSBAND we had to get it the truck tow somewhere else because they can't fix the (starter)... So Is The New Tramission in the Jeep??? he also stated they are TEMPORARILY CLOSED NOW. This have all happened in a month trying to get our truck now they have been closed, they told my husband they would be there at 6 yesterday no one was there.. this morning no one was there I wouldnt recommend this shop to NO ONE - WE WANT OUR TRUCK

If I could give this place a negative one star I would! I thought the down river collision was bad this place is so much worse had my car for over 3 months now paid 6k for a new "rebuilt" transmission let me drive it home when he said he put it in and it was still slipping so I brought it back to him to what he told me was a bad trans he had to order a new one. No clue if he even put a different one in and is now telling me it's going to cost another 2k for some brackets that hold the transmission. I've been calling for over 2 weeks now and no one has been at the building I cannot get a hold of anyone. Fox 2 News problem solvers or help me hank we need your help I'm not the only that's dealing with this.

Wanted to charge me $1500 for a brake line that I can buy (full pre formed stainless set complete with fittings etc.) for $125. So $1375 for labor? Also was treated as a criminal for following their instructions (getting car off their property) and not paying an exorbitant diagnostic fee that told me nothing I didn t already know, that there was a brake leak. Shady as hell, unprofessional, reeks of a scam. Avoid like the plague.

Friendly staff, helpful, and I was impressed with their knowledge of my particular problem. I ended up doing the work myself for a variety of reasons, but I will turn to them in the future as they won my trust and seem reasonably adept and priced. Of all the shops I went to, they were the most friendly, helpful, and professional.

My mom purchased 2 new from tires from there, the front drivers tire FELL OFF HALF A MILE AWAY, do NOT come here. Which has not added MORE damage to the vehicle!

Please be aware of this place The people here are very disrespectful and they will over charge you for the most simplest fix coolant temperature sensors 550 that they never fixed I only had one problem with my car they telling me it s 3 problems now. My car was running smoothly now riding down the street the car shuts off please please please be aware of these people and get a second opinion before you settle with them.!!!

Don t waste your time here I ll make this short I had a friend drop their car off last week because of reduced power (car would not go above 40 mph) after a day the Shop called back and said ( it s switching gears fine but they couldn t find why it wouldn t keep working so it needs a new transmission) which a few Google searches would tell you that makes absolutely no sense turns out the issue was fairly obvious. The converters were clogged and needed replacing seems like there are no reliable mechanics in this area yet another place on the list not to go

Terrible place. They will overcharge you for the smallest things and take advantage of the averages persons car knowledge. I specifically asked for the cheapest oil change. They charged me for the premium 80$ one. They also charged me ridiculous amounts for everything else. Do not trust them. Please go anywhere else

This was my first time using Dearborn Total Automotive & it was by far the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic shop. The power steering went out in one of my vehicles & DTA was the closest shop to my home. Not only did they get my vehicle in right away, but they drove me home since they would need a couple days to fix it. They were so kind, explained everything very thorough, fair pricing, and it only ended up taking 1 full day. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my vehicle & being so awesome!

This was my first time here and I have to tell ya. I will never go anywhere else for auto repairs again. The good people working there were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They got the work done fast and for a very reasonable price. My advice to anyone who need auto work is this, get to this place as quick as you can. Excellent service they have gone beyond what was expected. I have an uncommon vehicle and not only do they service quickly they also stand by their work to make sure that it was done right.Update! Just took a vehicle there that had a mystery noise. Frank worked diligently and truly went the extra mile to find and fix the issue. I have never had a mechanic who truly cared this much about serving their customers needs. During the week he reviewed multiple systems in order to determine the cause of the parts that needed replacing. He did all that he could and has earned all of my business for years to come. I am treated as more a friend than a customer. Service literally could not be better!Update!! under new management, the last manager that was there after Frank left was not trustworthy and I had decided not to return. But this weekend I had a car issues (electrical) and they were able to go above and beyond expectation. It was a simple repair but the current manager Mat restored my trust in the business. He said that he has only been there a few months but I hope he stays. Good guy and It looks like I will be returning to them in the future.Service: Electrical repair

Honest and truthful.....I was positive I needed brakes after 47000+ miles....nope. paid a service fee but totally worth it... brakes and rotors would've been way more. Not the first in our family to have work done here. William is the best

Thought they were great until I had to get front brakes. I was talked into power control arms that I paid $900 for just in labor and had to pay for parts as well as an $85 expectation fee just to see what was going on. I told them how terrible me car was driving and they convinced me it was the power control arms that would help. Once I did receive my car back, my abs light was on and never came off, I took it back the following week and I was told it was all good and now for my problem to be fixed, the suspension needed work to fix the same issue I was complaining about, I wasn t giving this place another 1000, 4 months later, still driving off and my abs light never turning off, I took it in for a second opinion else where, my ball joint which is part of the power control system was either too loose or just old and never replaced and was damn near about to make my wheel fall off along with wheel bearing having to be replaced bc the abs sensor being damaged from the inside , and like I said my abs sensor had never came On before it left this shop . I m having to get my car totally redone somewhere else for the same exact thing I paid over $1100 for here / disappointed

BEWARE.....I brought my car here for a simple repair and the service was not professional at all. First and foremost they are money hungry price gougers. I brought my car in for one thing but once they got my car they came at me saying that there were other things wrong with it, and if I didn't want those things fixed I can come get my car but it would be an $85 inspection fee without fixing what I initially came in for. So I went ahead with the repairs they recommended. (big mistake) The man at the front is a fast talking, shady, highly unprofessional individual and he lied to me about things that he put in the estimated. It took three days to get my car back. They repaired additional things without me knowing and authorizing it according to what the man in front said, and then he tried to charge me hundreds of dollars extra when I came to pick it up. Good thing I know Michigan's vehicle repair service laws. I paid what I agreed to on the initial estimate, took my car but now I'm having issues that I didn't have before coming to this shop. I would never go back here even if it was the last repair shop standing, and I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. I also noticed they have a lot of fake reviews from bots, the owner really need to look into new management.

SCAMMERS!!! I went to have my car repaired and to get rid of a check engine light but instead was told about another problem they had to fix, that coasted me $1,000. After taking back the vehicle, It was the exact same as when I had given it to them before. I ended up taking it to another mechanic and was told that NOTHING had been tampered with and that not a single bolt was unscrewed and that I had been scammed out of my money. My overall experience with the place was horrible, poor customer service and unprofessionalism made me rethink my mechanic option. I DO NOT recommend this place!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I am absolutely amazed by the work that was done. Frank is so professional and very helpful. He had my car done the very next day I had dropped it off. He replaced my oil pan and one of my tires that had a bubble in it. He offered me rides to get to and from places I needed. Even went so far to make sure I could come pick up my car! By far the best service I have ever received. His business is fast, professional, with exceptional prices and amazing work is done! I wish I could give them 10 stars.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change
