We went in to just get a valve stem repair and came out with a traction and engine light on when we went to tell them ASAP they just kept saying that they didn't fix that. We ended up having to go pay 700 for a mistake they caused us. Really threw off our travel vacation.

I visited the Auto Center 1/22/24 at about 11AM and, well, the two guys @ the Auto Center were pretty awesome. I had a somewhat tricky problem with a TPMS sensor that was replaced on my gf's Honda Element. Besides running around outside in freezing temps, the tech let me try a few things that pointed to a bug in the Bartec TPMS tool software. Bartec is the most common TPMS tool so if you have a car like mine and get one TPMS sensor replaced like me, you're up a creek and get sent away with a permanent TPMS light. But knowing what I know and seeing what I saw (in the extra steps and button pushes he did for me) I deduced that in this case, if the Bartec is in Relearn mode, and the first sensor scanned is an aftermarket (Redi-Sensor) it won't find the OEM sensors scanned afterwards. It would find all of them if the Bartec was in Test-Scan mode but not Relearn mode. This dead ended the TPMS relearn and 6 other shops with Bartec's told me I needed a new sensor for $80 or go to the dealer. Well, being a automotive engineer with access to some scan tools, I knew all my sensors were good and which sensor was causing the TPMS light but I needed a shop with a TPMS tool to finish the job. Thanks to Walmart, I figured out that scanning all the sensors in test mode to register their ID's with the tool, THEN going into the secondary menu to write the ID's to the car was the work-around. I found a shop with both Bartec and ATEQ TPMS scanners and the ATEQ didn't have this problem. Thanks for the help guys, that TPMS light had been on for over a year!

Walmart is what it is. They don't have a lot of techs. Often, there is just one working. It took them almost an hour to start on my car after the appointment time. I wanted 2 new tires. They did the work just fine it just took awhile.

They never answer phone calls, short staffed causing me to be rescheduled 5 times and drive on a hazardous tire that deflated every night. They also didn't balance my tires correctly when I finally got my tires installed.

went in to get wiper blades and they said it would be an hour and a half before they could "pull it in" and it would take 10 minutes to change them. went to the auto parts store and they did it in the parking lot in 45 seconds. either hire more employees in the auto care center, or better ones.

Terrible experience with Greg; went in to get my tires changed after ordering tires and service online. When I arrived they said my tires were still in Texas and if I wanted new tires that day it would be an extra $100. I ask for a refund and they said that it would take two weeks for the tires to show up, and the refund would happen after that. I tried to talk to a manager named Ruth, but Greg met me at the customer service counter before anyone could talk to me. Not only do I feel like I was scammed, but I m also disturbed that Greg stifled my actions to seek competent help.

Tires aren t bad but they tell you $15 per tire to install but fail to mention another $60 in fees. Thought It would cost $60 to install 4 tires purchased from Walmart but cost me $124.Extremely understaffed. I waited 30 minutes after I received the notification that my car was done before someone was even at the counter.Better off going somewhere else in my opinion

I saw a guy come in to get tires for his vehicle. A guy named Greg tried to charge him an extra $100 or so to put on different tires then he ordered. The guy walked out and I don t blame him. I was going to get my oil changed, but this second hand experience made me choose a different location

You just won t get service here. I went here one day, waited 45 minutes at the desk before being helped (despite only one person being in front of me in line) because the employee at the front desk went to help someone look for something on a shelf then inexplicably disappeared. When I was finally helped (by a different employee), I was told testing my car battery would take over an hour (which might be normal but I don t know). I came back the next day since I had more time only for the center to be closed because apparently the employees decided not to show up. No indication of being closed online or anything. What a joke, this is the bottom of the barrel in terms of auto service.

Went in with my boyfriend today for his scheduled appointment to get tires on his car. Greg, the auto coach, said he ll have to pay $100 extra to get tires that day or wait 2 weeks before he could do anything (including a refund)

I didn't end up getting my tires from Walmart. But the associate I talked to was knowledgeable and came out to my car to look at my spare for reassurance that I could still drive it a little more.

Sadly they have very little staff. Two times we went there to buy tires and received no help, even after paging for assistance. Other customers had same problem. A worker from another department tried to help but didnt know anything about tires. Got 4 tires down ourselves and took them to front desk customer service. We took the tires to an auto place in howard city, they put them on for us.

Horrible employees. Only certified through "Walmart" certification. Came in for an oil change over filled my car. Brought back next day and the tech working on my car gave me attitude and slammed my hood and broke my cruise control, then accused me of doing something wrong to my car. Will never go back.

I had an appointment to have the tires I purchased (which were waiting as I ordered them) to have them put on my car. When I arrived for my appointment, they were closed. I was told someone should have called me to let me know and they were booked a month out for the service. I had to take my tires with me and find another place to install them and had to pay additional fees due to them being purchased elsewhere.

I'll give 5 stars specifically to the employees. They're working hard to provide a service despite the outdated software they are given to work with. Help these guys out Walmart!

Quality of service is typically very good, but they're SLOOOOOW. Four hour wait to do tires isn't uncommon. It was 2.5 hours today, to complete my oil change and pay for my car.Almost half an hour of that I was standing at the service counter waiting to pay, with my car finished and in the parking lot.Techs are friendly and knowledgeable, but don't go there if you're in a hurry.

First time I got tire good prices and services, go back a year later for a tire warranty, don't have a tire to replace warranty tire so I have to order it myself, then call to schedule an appointment and they tell me the don't do that. Website says tire department is open until 7, but they told me on the phone they are only open until 3Update: the store hours posted is still not accurate they close whenever, employees are friendly enough, but had to make 5 trips to get 1 tire for warranty purposes. Would have been better off paying more some where else

Went to get an oil change at the Walmart on Alpine in Comstock Park,Mi. I was told it would take 45 minutes. After nearly an hour I come back to see if my oil was changed only find out that my car wasn't touched yet. Another customer (Female) was getting her tires rotated she was there over 2 hours. Customer service in the auto department needs to do better than what I experienced today.

Let me start out by saying I have had amazing service at the Walmart Tire Center in Ionia, MI. I would not recommend the Alpine Ave location to anyone. Today is Labor day and I called to find out if they were open and if I needed to make an appointment. I sat on the phone through 2 cycles of the operator coming back on to repeatedly transfer me to the tire department because they would not answer the phone. When I finally spoke with someone they said they were open but getting busy. I brought my tire in and they asked if I was leaving my car. I literally said to them, "No, I will just leave the tire and rim here and you can change it when it's 'convenient for you'." and they thanked me. They called me 3 hours later and told me the tire was done. When I went in to pay for it the guy working the counter rolls my tire around to the other side of the counter and says there you go. I asked aren't you going to put it on my car? He said Oh. I will have to rewrite all of the paperwork and you will have to go to the bottom of the list, but we aren't that busy so you should only have to wait 45 min. This was ridiculous. How do you buy a tire from a tire place and they don't put it on your car? And how does it take 45 minutes to put my tire on when it is a 4 minute job and there is one car in the bay and 4 guys standing there. And what I really want to know is how do I come in as a customer and offer to make things more convenient for them and they turn around and make my purchase completely inconvenient for me. This is definitely one of my worst purchase experiences ever. I will never bring my business here again and I would advise anyone else thinking of coming here, don't do it. I only gave this review one star because no stars was not an option.

Purchased trailer tires on line and installed at the auto center. Best price around for a very good pair of tires. All went well. Knowledgeable techs and the counter staff was friendly. Install was quick. Will definitely check their prices in the future.

I called this location yesterday at 3 pm four hours before they close and asked if they had time for a tire change, they said they weren t accepting anymore cars for the night and to come back in the morning, whatever, I come back in the morning and check in and I m third in line to get my tire changed. They gave me a quote on two potential tires they have in stock for me. THREE HOURS LATER they have my car in the shop and come to find out they don t have any tires available to fit my car. They seemed very understaffed for a busy location. I wouldn t be upset if they had told me right away that they didn t have a tire for me but I wasted 3 hours sitting in Walmart for no reason. The manager on duty was very friendly but I will definitely not return to this location.*edit* after my 3 hour wait with no work done to my car, I left. An hour later I get a call saying my car is finished?? Seems very unprofessional.

Good place with good mechanics and fair prices. My full synthetic oil change for my honda was only $42 here while usually quoted as $70 at other places. I also got a set of Douglas tires put on here. Much better price than my last yokohamas and similar ratings and drive feel.My only issue is I wish they took reservations. Each of the 3 times I've been here there has been a long wait, over an hour each time. The manager was a great guy and very helpful, I just wish they got a little better at scheduling so visits could be a bit more efficient.

Went in for an oil change and fluid check. Extremely busy, long wait upon return. Car was done but so many people at checkout counter. They weren't able to check other fluids for various reasons. One excuse was that they didn't have the proper tool! Good price but I felt like I received half the service of other auto centers.

Very poor customer service. I had to have my car towed and called ahead to get a price beforehand. I had the car towed and when I was waited on, was given a different price. Luckily, when I explained to Progressive, they allowed an additional tow at no cost to me. It's only $20, but it's not the point. Learn to take care of your customers. I've had problems with your customer service four times in the last 6 months. I'm not shopping with you anymore.
