Cannot recommend going here for any type of service. They took 3 hours for a job quoted at about 45 minutes. Just switching 4 tires, which I was fine with waiting around an hour for. 1 hour after they began working on my car, I finally got an update that they got my wheels off the vehicle. Another 40 minutes go by and they finally tell me my car is all set. Great. I head out front to see the tires are on the incorrect rims, and the rear tires being on the front, and the front tires having been put on the rear. Now they promise to rush the job they said should having taken less than an hour, and it ends up taking another 1.5 hours to finish. I have no clue if they did anything else to my car and/or screwed anything up that I haven't found yet. If you value your time, I would find another shop...

Went to get my battery checked. They said it was fine but could use a charge. They explained and informed me of all the ways Cars lose charging. I appreciate being taught more about my car in a respectful way! Corey and Johnny Jordan helped me. I really appreciated my experience. Great customer service

I think the service advisor was having a bad day, which happens to all of us from time to time. Johnnie, who actually performed the alignment and inspection of my vehicle stepped right up and gave me all the ins and outs regarding the service and inspection of the vehicle and was extraordinarily informative. Left with the car driving straight down the road, and feeling much safer than when I arrived, all without having an attempted up-sell on unnecessary service or repairs. The service was also performed in a timely manner.

Above and beyond! I was skeptical to have any service done on my vehicle because of past companies (Belle Tire) selling me things I didn t need. I thought I would try Pep Boys. John thoroughly checked my vehicle and informed me there was nothing that needed to be done! He came out spoke with me personally and reassured me that he wouldn t sell me something I didn t need, then apologized to the next gentleman in line for taking a few minutes longer than expected. Jax was also very kind in assuring me that they would not sell me something I didn t need. I was fighting a bit of a cold and called to see if I should keep my appointment, Caleb made me feel comfortable in keeping the appointment or rescheduling. Team work at its finest! Keep up the great work!

Manager and staff are awesome!!! Figured out my tire/rim issue in 15 minutes or less and fixed it no charge. Great experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

Scheduled my initial appointment at 5 one day, after I was already on my way they called me to reschedule because they re out of the tires I ordered FOR MY APPOINTMENT. Makes sense. So I reschedule, I m here now STILL waiting. I was told upon arrival it would only be 1.5-2hours. After 2 hours and 20 minutes go by I ask how much longer it will be about another 30 minutes. Meanwhile a lady with an appointment after my own has been in and out already. This is asinine. 0/10 don t recommend. Also no water in the waiting area.

This place is an absolute JOKE! I ordered tires online to be at the store before noon for installation. I arrived a few minutes before noon and was told the truck hadn't arrived yet. I waited 3.5 hours and the truck still wasn't there. The person at the counter informed me they couldn't even find out how far away the truck was or if my tires were on the truck. That all would have to be done through their shipping and distribution centers. Apparently they had no time to make such a call. Now here we are 3 days later and my tires still haven't made it the store. Now I full understand why Pep Boyd locations are going out of business at the rate they are. There's no chance I'd ever spend another penny with them. Avoid this place the plague! I've called their customer service line, was told they'd have someone from management call me back that day and still haven't heard anything 4 days later. My order for tires has since been canceled due to the time frame being past due. No kidding the time frame has passed, without the tires ever being available. It's like this place is trying to run off customers by any means necessary. Good thing DISCOUNT TIRE right down the road knows what the term customer service means and will actually do the things outlined in Pep Boys mission statement to insure a positive customer experience so nobody is at risk due to people having to drive on unsafe tires that Pep Boys is completely incapable of selling no matter how hard the customer tries to purchase from them rendering Pep Boys unnecessary along with irrelevant in the marketplace just like their out of business Auto parts division.

Appointments mean absolutely nothing. I waited three hours past my appointment time for new tires. Lady before me waited three hours for an oil change.Tech had to come out and ask me how to remove wheel covers.

I understand times can be tough, but I've been through 2 appointments that got rescheduled and not going back for a 3rd. Seems to be a lack of communication between upper management and the ordering. 1st time went in they said they had the tires but were so short staffed were not able to get my vehicle in that day. Appointment was at 1pm . I get that. Reschedule for Wednesday 9am and they apparently forgot to tag my tires. I figured since I was told they had them Saturday didn't bother to ask if they still had them(my issue) but then get a call almost 3 hours after my car was dropped off to be told they didn't have my tires.Again I get times can be rough, but please fix this issue from the top. Time is money.. Technicians typically aren't the ones dealing with the ordering and scheduling. Start from the top..

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had. I had a 10 am appointment. When I got there they told me it would be 3 hours before they could service my vehicle. 6.5 hours later they called to tell me they were going to begin but do not have the wheels I ordered in stock. Even though when I was in at 10 I verfied they had the correct wheels. If I was there service team I would quit. There management put them in a position to fail.

I gave them 2 stars because I did get a great deal on a set of tires. I made an appointment online for 8:00 a.m. I called to make sure they knew I was dropping my car off the night before so it could be done early. By 9:30 am, I called to find out the status of my tires just to be told we forgot to check for keys in the drop box. Your car will be the next one to get in. I live half an hour away, so I decided to head to Grand Rapids do a little shopping as the car should be done soon. Wrong again, an hour and a half later, I stopped in to pick up my car to be told that it would be another 45 minutes. So, we decided to go get some lunch and come back. When I got there, no one was in the lobby except two other customers, the phone was ringing and I waited another 10 minutes. The guy at the counter apologized for the issues and admitted that he failed to check the drop box and told me that he would ve offered some type of credit for the inconvenience but that I paid online and if he were to try to do that, it would mess up the deal I got. Ok - fine, whatever. Then - the online payment didn t go through and I had to pay right there - no further mention of any credit. Seriously, I will NEVER go to the Pepboys on Alpine again.

Summary: didn t fulfill tire order, poor communication, poor management response.Full story: I ordered tires for what seemed like a great deal online and made an appointment a couple weeks out. I arrived about two hours early to drop off my vehicle to learn only 3 of the 4 tires were delivered. After probing, I learned the delivery was the previous day around 5p and the team was trying to get out by 6p so they didn t contact me. Further, they didn t find the time to contact me the few hours the store was open prior to my arrival. Rather, it was just right to inform me upon my arrival, so as to ensure I made a wasted trip with my family (had to coordinate another driver to allow me to leave vehicle behind). I was dealing with the manager who had zero willingness to work with me, nor any ownership of the folly. Very much a too bad, so sad response to the issue. Since I don t buy tires for pleasure, but rather because I need new tires I tried exploring options. No effort to determine when that critical 4th tire would be available. I asked what tires they could actually get me into, and was offered tires for double the price with no discount for the inconvenience. It is painfully evident this is a mismanaged operation. I m not difficult to please. A call the night before or upon opening the day of my appointment would have gone a long way. Any effort to find out when my tire would be available would be appreciated. Any willingness to wheel and deal on a different set would have been respected. Rather, the manager didn t care one way or another if I did business there. He got his wish.

Ordered tires and installation elsewhere. After ordering them, one of my existing tires got a hole in it and my car doesn't have a spare so I took it off the car and brought it to Walmart to get one of my tires put on early so I could drive it to get the rest of them installed. After 30 minutes waiting for the incompetent help at Walmart tire center, they informed me they couldn't put the tire on for me. So I took one of them down the street to pep boys and met Jax. She was my angel and got the tire installed on the rim and wouldn't take any money from me. Incredible. I am kicking myself for not choosing Pep Boys to begin with. Thank you so much Jax Rowan!! You saved my day!!

Do not take your car here. Scammed me out of $1000 and didn t want to admit their mistake. They told me they would look at the wheel barrings that they fixed because my wheel started to wobble and they were under warranty they said they would fix it on their dime. When my uncle went there to get my car he found out they just drove it and did not put it on the lift. They were rude and unprofessional. Guy at front desk kept calling me young girl which made me feel like he didn t care about what I had to say. I put my young kids in the car that they messed up the wheel could have locked up at any moment. Half the mechanics here do not know what they are doing and they will never admit they are wrong. I got my car fixed by them in September less than two months later the wheel barring a that I just got done went bad. Please don t go here they are rude cocky and will not admit they are wrong.

Had such a pleasant experience with pepboys crew today. Jax, Corey, and Ed were kind, professional and thorough as they investigated a tire leak. I got to sit in a comfortable chair, read, and chat with other patrons. In the end the leak was in the valve stem which they replaced on the spot for a very reasonable $25! Cant ask for better than that. Will absolutely return.

Ive been using this company for my fleet with my business, truly has been phenomenal to work with; and does amazing work every time. I cannot recommend anyone else but these guys since they are the best! Awesome customer service

The New-Hire, "Jacks" is amazing. It seems she has been there a short amount of time, but is learning her job well and seems to handle stress. I was there after the Black Friday event and you were extremely busy. Has to reschedule twice but she was very accommodating and business friendly.

I purchased tires from Pep Boys a couple of months ago, I bought the extra road hazard insurance. I ended up getting a screw in my tire and barely made it there just to see a sign on a door saying they d open soon (supposed to be 8am and it was 815am) When they finally opened, they told me the workers hadn t showed up that day and the earliest they could schedule me was the following week. My tire was flat. I ended up going to Discount tire and they fixed it for free. I know where I ll be going next time I purchase tires

I ordered tires for my daughters car during thier black friday sale. the closest store is 30 miles away so normally i would have chosen a company that is closer but the deal was great. As long as they have the tires. showed up for our 8 a.m. saturday appointment to find out that the tires were never delivered. They had none at the warehouse, no full sets of other brands in that size, and if they did they would be way more. My daughter drove 30 min their, waited for a half hour to find out they had no tires for her car, drove 30 min back home. 1/4 tank of gas for a high school girl is worth a fair bit. all we got was a "sorry for the inconveience. would recommend going elsewhere.

They did a good job, but seemed incredibly understaffed. I have to wait 45 mins after my scheduled appointment time, simply because there was only one poor staff person trying to meet the needs of many customers while also answering phones.

Positive & friendly staff, prompt, honest and good people to work with. Always reasonable prices with the great job that was done on my vehicle. You can find coupons/discounts on the Pep Boys website - which are VERY helpful.

Avoid bringing German cars to this shop. Paid the service fee and didn t get proper information. Changed what was suggested by them and nothing improved.They are sloppy. Left a rag in my engine.

Very helpful and kind! Came in for the buy two get two free deal on the tires so there was a bit of a wait. Other than that, everyone was very helpful and friendly. :)

About 3 weeks back my girlfriend and I blew out a tire on the way to pick up a friend from the airport. Needless to say this wasn't a scheduled stop and due to bad traffic that day we were already 25 minutes behind schedule and our friend was at the airport with her luggage waiting on us. To add to the chaos, we were trying to make it back up to the Upper Peninsula before it got too late due to a birthday party for my girlfriend. There was only one tire technician available and he was working on another vehicle when we arrived. I politely asked Lance the Service Manager if there was any way he could speed up the process a bit with the understanding that, it will take a long add it will take. Lance made it clear he would not do anything that would potentially put us in danger like rushing the job. I conveyed to Lance that I understood and left it at that. Lance took initiative and in between helping customers that walked in he got our tires changed in a fraction of the time that was quoted to us. I was shocked when I got a notification that our car was ready. I tried to buy dinner for Lance and the tire technician but Lance repeatedly refused. My girlfriend and I are eternally grateful to Lance and this Pep Boys for their polite staff, fast service and skilful staff. They made what was turning out to be a disaster, into a harrowing tale to tell at the party. Thanks again Lance!

I have road hazard coverage on the tires I purchased in May of '23. I had a sidewall puncture, went to get it replaced, and they told me that since I bought the tires on sale, and they are no longer on sale, that I had to pay the difference. In addition, I had to pay for installation. I thought the point of paying for road hazard was to have the tire replaced and installed at no charge. A little disappointed, however, the service was very good.
