I came in for a front end alignment. Paul was super friendly, honest and informative. High quality service done in a timely manner at a decent price. I highly recommend Lentz in Comstock Park for all repairs/maintenance.

Have had the pleasure of doing business with Paul for the past few years on my older vehicles (30+ years old). Absolutely the most honest shop around. If something is a simple easy fix, they will inform you with complete transparency. Would definitely recommend.

I was attending a wedding out of town and was having emergency car problems. Paul was more than willing to accommodate me without an appointment on a weekend even though they had limited hours. Paul and crew assessed and fixed my vehicle quickly and professionally. They took it for a short drive to check that everything was fixed and returned it to me. We appreciated their willingness to inspect and correct the issue on such short notice and for their professionalism. If you are in the need for auto repairs would recommend them as your Comstock Pack area auto shop.

I don't know who did it online but it sounds like it was a scam telling me via text $49.95 to align my front tires. I decided to call them since it was about 20 minutes away and I don't have an appointment. Seems weird just be careful and don't get scammed by someone else

I highly recommend Lentz Auto Repair. Paul was so kind and helped me even though they wereextremely busy. I hit a piece of ice that fell off another car and blew out my tire. They changed it for me so I wouldn't have to call a tow truck. Thank you for your generosity.

Paul, you are absolutely AMAZING. All weekend I ve been so stressed about what was wrong with my car! You definitely turned my week around!This is the ONLY car shop my family and I go to, for years now. They are honest, trustworthy people. That DONT rip you off just bec they can. Do not use this shop!!!!I took my vehicle in for a simple front end alignment. I got the car back a few hours later and the car drove worse than before! I took my car to another shop and when they checked the alignment the tow was completely out of spec. The other shop also informed me both CV axles were burnt and leaking (Lentz used a blow torch to loosen the tie rod end jam nuts and didn't bother to protect the CV axle boots).The manager at Lentz owned up to their mistake and said they would re-do the alignment and replace both CV axles. I allowed them to fix their mistake and when I got my truck back I had the alignment checked again by another shop. The tow was technically within spec, but it was at the very TOP end of the spec (aka they did the bare minimum work to get it within spec).The work performed by them was poor and careless.The only positive that I have is they owned up to there mistake and did fix the CV axles for me.But in general....Do NOT use this shop!!Service: Wheel alignment

I have such a high opinion of Lentz Auto Repair on Alpine Ave. Paul is a rare find in the automotive world. He is both honest and kind. He has worked on my daughter's car on two occasions, and we are very happy with the results. Last week, I took her car to the garage so that Paul could replace the windshield wiper nozzles. Since I tracked down the parts and paid for them myself, Paul did not even charge me for any labor. He said it was a simple fix. That's just the type of guy he is. We plan to stick with Lentz Auto for any future repairs. I highly recommend them.

Love this place always great prices work and energy. Paul is a great guy never does anything less than what he s capable of and actually has done more than he s had to do for me a couple times. Real genuine place and for the most part they know their stuff here highly recommend

Never have I met a more honest mechanic shop than I have experienced with Lentz!! They absolutely have the customers best interest in mind when dealing with you. Paul has been mine and my husbands go to guy for ALL work we need done on our vehicles minor or major problems. I HIGHLY recommend Lentz on Alpine if you are looking for a mechanic shop and don't want to worry about getting ripped off! Thank you Paul and all the guys at Lentz!!

INCREDIBLE service with friendly and down to earth staff. Very fair prices and know their stuff. An absolute lifesaver that will ALWAYS check with you first before incurring any costs. Could not recommend them enough.

We have been going to Lentz on Alpine for quite a few years now and have only good things to say about their services and employees. My husband and I have consistently gotten complete explanations of the the issues at hand with our vehicles and they are quick to get our vehicles assessed and fixed. They ve fixed a couple of things for me before so I thought they were an okay place. So they ll send you 20% off customer appreciation letters in the mail after you ve visited them and I decided to use the coupon I got to fix a starter in my car. On the letter, it says the present the coupon when you first come in to get 20% off the parts. Ok did that. Once I came back to pick up the car, I asked about the 20% off coupon I used and the manager said, well I already did the transaction. I asked if he could refund it back to my card and charge me for the correct amount (was supposed to be~$50 or so taken off with the coupon) and told us I don t know how to do that. I knew he was the manager because I ve seen him wearing a manager shirt when I came in before. So I came back the next day and said if he didn t refund me for the 20% off, I ll just call my credit card company and have them refund me the money I was supposed to have taken off the bill. After that, he reluctantly refunded my card.So in point, don t waste your time at this location. It s affordable but the workers treat you like you re a bother to them. I prefer the Michigan Street location to this one.

I was recommended this place and it did not disappoint! I came in for a front end alignment Thursday afternoon 4/15, and that team did a great job. He was kind and professional, and everything was very fair. When he called to explain the situation, I asked him to explain some of the terms, and he was very patient and not patronizing at all. They were very timely here, and I can feel the difference in my car now. I had a great experience!Service: Wheel alignment

I had my car towed there I had explained to them (Paul) that it was an older car they said that could work on it. After two weeks they looked at it but didn't want to work on it. I brought my 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue I inherited from my deceased Grandmother in to see about getting the service engine soon light checked out. After I was quoted over $2,000 worth of work I decided to go to my normal mechanic. They showed me how rusted it is underneath on their hoist. It is so bad that my normal mechanic said it's not safe to be driving on the road & told his mechanic to stop working on it. I will never go to Lentz again as I feel they should have told me how unsafe the car was instead of just seeing $$ signs & not saying anything about it.

Owner is always pleasant and extremely fair. Company sends discounts after visits which is an added plus. They are timely with repairs and respectful of your time, basically when you need your car back. These guys give quick, honest and friendly service. I'm a little older and remember the good old days when your mechanic explained things to you, tried to save you money, and although he didn't have a fancy, state-of-the-art waiting room, he treated you like a person, not a number. I have had at least five car repairs done here, and they have all been less expensive than I expected. The manager is a very friendly and helpful guy. I have five kids with cars, and I recommend they all use this mechanic shop. Well done!

The manager there is awesome. I would assume the staff is as well, i just havent dealt directly with them. Ive had my car in a few times over the past couple weeks and always got great service and communication. Im not a car guy so getting detailed explanations was cool to me. They went above and beyond. I went to lentz to get my car looked at to find out what was wrong since I don t live by my mechanic and they quoted me $1300 for back brakes, rotors, and calipers. When I called my mechanic and told them they said they could do that same thing for $720. I then called Lentz back and let them know I wouldn t be getting anything done that day, their story changed and the guy said well you don t really need new rear calipers, we could just clean them up and they ll be fine. We can have it done tomorrow morning . I still picked my car up and it s now being fixed by my mechanic and he said only one rear caliper slide was a little frozen up and it s not hard to clean/fix up at all and won t cost anything.I was really hoping to find a new + honest mechanic closer to me but unfortunately I won t be going back here or recommending them.

Amazing place, I went there not knowing much about vehicles, afraid after multiple places tried charging me outrageous amounts, and Paul helped me understand what needed to be done and even gave me a discount to help with the costs. Will be going back and definitely recommend :)
