I've gone there various times and never had a problem until recently, they replaced a tire and the following day while driving it just flew right off the rim! When brought back to them using my donut they argued against fixing and tried saying it had to be my fault, to the point I had to call my husband to speak on the phone with them to get them to fix it! I don't know if they genuinely thought it was my fault or because they thought they could just talk me down because I'm a women but I won't be going back there unless I absolutely have to now. :(

Had a blow out a while back and needed to get a tire for the spare for my old 95 Jeep. Called them up told them the size Don said he had it and I instantly drove there and they had me in and out within 15 minutes for 40Dollars for the used tire. Will return if I need a used tire.

Had a blow out and needed a single tire. Don's was able to help me. I didn't have to wait very long, they were able to remove the emergency spare and replace the blown tire with a good used tire. They removed the spare and placed it back into my vehicle, removed the blown tire for disposal/recycling, worked on the rim, mounted the used tire, filled it with air, balanced the tire, and installed the tire in my vehicle. The process was efficient. Total cost was $45 and credit cards or cash is accepted. This is the second time I have used Don's.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I started coming here over 20 years ago. Have loved every single interaction I've had with staff and Don up until now. Went for a used tire to get me thru until I was paid again. The guy taking the tire off broke my lugs and tire pressure sensor. Tried to tell me that I did it. " your lugs are broken its probably time you replace those" "did your tire pressure sensor work before?" ' yes it did.' " well its broken youll need to replace that if you buy a new one I'll instal it for you for free" Finally got those replaced, by them, after some talking with Don. Drive away, Saturday just a few minutes before they close, don't make it even back to fenton and my wheel is falling off and the lugs aren't staying in and can't actually tighten them down all the way. Take it to a mechanic because I think I'm doing something wrong while trying to fix it - they take everything apart and find that the lugs that Don "special ordered" for me aren't even the correct lugs. The thread is different and they've forced them into my hub assembly and have now ruined the threads inside that so that nothing will stay tight inside there. Call dons on Monday since they were closed on Sunday to tell him what happened and he stays on the phone arguing with me over it. Tells me that he didn't do it and the guy who put the tire on said it went on just fine. Tells me multiple times to bring my vehicle back up so that they can look at it. My vehicle literally can't be driven until it's fixed because the lugs don't fit it. The threads are stripped and the lugs fall out of the hub assembly. I've never been talked to so rudely before by a business owner. My tires could have fallen off while I was driving and I could have been in an accident. I've never been somewhere so negligent before who acted so unprofessional towards me.Bottom line don't go here if you want a good tire job. There's tons of places who will do it and talk professionally to you and help you with things.Oh and to also top it off the tire I got from them leaks air so that's still bad. Meaning the initial thing I wanted fixed isn't even fixed.Go anywhere else if possible.

Got a used tire and it blew out 2 weeks later, went back and they refused to replace is said there s no warranty on a used tire. I was $2 short and they couldn t work something out with me. I get it $2 short is still short. But their hospitality fell short of what I was used too. I would not recommend buying their used tires as they get them without checking.I ve recommended a lot of people to this place, maybe I shouldn t have.This don guy as bridal and sour. I would have traded my tool set at over $150 just for two fresh tires just so I could make it home and he said I would just have to be left stranded. Worst service, cheap tires.

Best used tire shop I've ever been to. Purchased a 2006 grand prix for my son's first car over the weekend and stopped in to quote two used tires for the front. Didn't even have to ask for a price before agreeing to the work. They showed us the tires they had in stock for it, which were at least 70% tread life remaining. When we were finished and they said $80 for everything I was stunned. You can't touch tires this good in Flint for $40 each including mounting and balancing. The staff was very pleasant to work with as well. Awesome place, they've earned a customer for life in my opinion. I think I'll even swing in here for my next set of new tires as well, I'd rather give my money to a local shop with such a great staff as opposed to a national chain. Keep up the great work guys! Your work ethic and customer relations alone would bring business in, but your priced are a cherry on top! Thanks!!

I stopped at Don's to get a tire put on and his attitude was horrible. It seems as he has a problem with blacks. I've been to his shop before for tires and I thought his attitude would get better. I'm a middle age..African American.. very friendly female I will never advise anyone of any race to visit this business. He has very poor customer service skills.

Always had good experiences with Don and the helpers, fair price and sometimes Don gives a special price, and always good work with no problem that was any fault of Don's Tires!!!

Fast an friendly. Good work, at a fair price. Been going there for years. Had my tire off my snowblower fixed there today. Did a great good. So i had two pizza sent there to show my appreciation for all the great work. Thoughts guys work hard an hardly get a break. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Prices have gone up but that seems to be the case everywhere. Don is great guy who always makes sure to take care of his customers when he can help. He's been in the business for years so if its experience you're worried about you can't go wrong here. Its just a little shop and parking can be a pain but they're fast and will have you out quick.

Had a tire emergency, tire going down fast and a little panic set in. Fortunately I was close to Dons Tire Service and pulled in. They looked at tire right away, fixed problem and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Buyer beware. Would not recommend. Will falsely say they have your tire so you drive there just to try to install the wrong size tires. Don't waist your time.

Don is a GREAT guy! As an independent business owner, he's one of the hardest working guys around!!! Given his age, many young people wouldn't be able to keep up with him! Plus, I get great prices and service too!!!

Good place. Always friendly people there. Huge selection of good used tires and new ones to. Open Saturdays which was a life saver for me. Brought a tire in and told them it was junk and needed a new one. They looked at it and said it was just a dirty rim. Broke it down, cleaned it up and good as new. I was expecting to spend $150 and only spent $20.

Fantastic small town tire shop. One of my skid steer tires was low on air and came off the wheel. I called around and everyone said there was a huge wait. Time is money when your at the job site. I called Don he had a tube in stock and got me right in. This is my new go to place. EDIT. I had an emergency with another piece of equpiment that was down at the job site. I brought the tire to them to put a tube in. They told me it would be over a hour with just one customer there. I dove into flint and had it done with no wait.

Don, Zack, rest of his crew have handled a few of my tires over the last year. They re quick, inexpensive, and their work lasts. Easiest in-and-out experience I ve had with any mechanic.

I recently had an accident right at the corner here and these guys were amazing helped me and my son gave us ice were absolutely amazing reassuring and even helped calm my autistic son. They have always been great at their service our family has used them for years but they broke the mold today... Thank you again from my family....

Good place to get a used tire put on or have a tire plugged. They will work with tires and rims from other stores. The staff is super friendly. Only draw back is the small lot, but it's not a super busy intersection so it's a soft drawback.

Great service at affordable prices. Don is a small business owner that has been in business for years. I try to give him my business rather than the big chains. He will always stand on his word.
