My wife and I have been thinking about getting an RV, so I decided to go to General RV and learn about what s offered. I ended up being helped by a salesperson named Kary. She was awesome. Very friendly, welcoming, and personable. Kary took the time to learn about my situation and what I was interested in. After getting some information from me, she took me out on the yard and showed me a few awesome vehicles specifically targeted towards my needs. She was very patient with me being so indecisive, and she even showed me some of their other campers that weren t really what I needed, but I still wanted to see anyway. When I do eventually purchase an RV, I will definitely go to Kary.

Ok I didn't want to write this review until all issues pertaining to our travel trailer had been resolved. I feel it is important to leave this review because people usually only leave negative reviews, which gave me huge anxiety and slight buyers remorse after reading all the negative posts. Here's my experience with General RV in Clarkston. My husband and I bought our 2022 Keystone Passport back in May of 2023 and Craig was our agent who was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, listened to our wants and needs, didn't try to sell us something our vehicle couldn't handle, we couldn't afford, and was patient with us. He has also helped us after the purchase with little items here and there, which is unusual in the service industry.After we bought it, we had a demonstration how to work the travel trailer, we were complete newbies, so it was a lot to take in. On our way home, we couldn't get the hitch off and Dan who was our demonstrator literally came to our house and helped us out. After confessing that we still couldn't remember everything taught (like draining the tanks, hooking up the hitch, etc.), he offered to have us bring it over to his house where he and one of the techs (Kyle) went over everything again, plus did some little alterations for us. After all this, we found some minor issues during a couple of our camping trips. Let me tell you, THEY ADDRESS EVERY SINGLE ITEM, even a couple that were our fault. They were quick about it and if they had to wait for a part, we were able to pick up our trailer and go on our camping trip. They never let us miss a trip. They kept us camping, just like they advertise. Bailey and Shay in the service department worked tirelessly to have keystone and General RV fix all items. I'll be honest, after reading all negative posts when we first purchased it we were skeptical, but I'm here to say, they exceeded our expectations!!! Way to Go General RV for such great service in every department. You all do it right over there!

So I need to redo my post. As far as service department at this place and other places I have no comment. Went there for a flood of issues some approved with warranty and still not fixed after wasting money....I was comp greatly but still not fixed.Onto sales. We worked with Ray here at clarkston. Looked at a camper out of our budget but was a dream camper....was approved for same payment and everything when we had no hope NO HOPE!! Ray was awesome. Straight cut knows what your looking for, stays with what your looking for and is quick and easy with no extras. You want a straight shooter easy sales person go to Ray. Want a different harder experience looks at stuff you don't want go to other people then Ray.Ray is the best sales person I have dealt with getting any kind of financed item hands down. Ray should sell cars and houses and campers.

Hi General RV team, my husband and I went to the RV show in Rosemont a couple months ago. We saw lots of models and let a lot of vendors, Sam Majszak was one of them.We gravitated to Sam because he was calm, educated and had options. We are new RV owners so we have a learning curve. He invited us in to have seat and talk more, he was super cool with our 3 small children that were VERY excited to be there.We grabbed his business card and we re planning on buying an RV once we ve located a spot to put it. Sam reached out to us about a week later to check in, he answered some more questions, and we decided that we wanted to give him our business. He was calm, he wasn t pushy, and he was just really kind. I couldn t ask for more in a sales person. We ve been in touch the last couple weeks as we went through the process of getting our site . I went to the Huntley location to view some of the RVs in person before we made our final choice. He put us in contact with Dominick over at Huntley, and he was very kind to help us. I appreciate the fact that the sales people worked as a team, they found the best option for us, and they were patient. There s nothing worse than sales people that cannot read their audience. I want to give him a big shout out, thank you so very much. As of yesterday we are official RV owners. I will definitely be referring anybody and everybody to him.

I went in there very unsure of what I was looking for, I've never made a big purchase like this and my family really wants to start regularly camping. I went in blind and Kary very much helped me figure out what I was looking for and helped guide me in the direction I needed to get what we wanted. I definitely was not the easiest person to help, but she was very knowledgeable and patient with the 30 phone calls I had to make to my brother to ask what we were looking for.

We worked with Terry Quaine with General RV Center and had an outstanding experience. We bought a Keystone Springdale trailer and absolutely love it. Terry made everything happen and we are not living in our trailer in Pensacola Florida. Thank you Terry you made this an amazing experience for us.

My husband and I just upgraded to a new Class A, and we couldn't have done it without Trevor Clark's expertise and excellent service. He made the entire process easy and exciting.When it came time to trade in our previous RV, which we also purchased from Trevor several years earlier, he worked his magic to get us top dollar. He knows the market inside and out. Then he helped secure great financing, so we were able to stay on budget.The new coach was at another location, but no problem for Trevor. He had it transferred to us, no headaches. Even when a minor issue popped up during transport, he jumped into action to not only get it fixed but he also had the front-end aligned for maximum safety and performance.Trevor goes above and beyond, every step of the way. Katie Jackson gets 5 plus from my wife and I. Not only did she spend enormous amounts of time with us before we purchased she has been there all throughout . She has followed up checking on our progress and answering questions as we learn about our new Rv (we are newbies and senior ) even when she was traveling to RV shows all over the country.she is not the only one we ve had a positive experiences with James also shared his extensive knowledge through out. kati just sticks out because she took us under her wing one snowy night at a rv show amd shared her extensive experience and knowledge with us. We feel much more confident today then we did 2 months ago

I am a first time RV owner and was stressing the process. My sales rep was Terry Quaine. Not only did Terry get me into the RV of my dreams he also stood with me the whole time and made sure the process went smooth. His patience and assistance was top tier. The experience was so amazing I brought my daughter and sister to Terry and he was able to do the same for them. Now all three of us are RV owners and are already planning our new adventure. If I could give a 10 star rating, I would. We bought a new travel trailer from one of General RV's competitors a year ago. Won't go into the gory details, but it had to go back to the dealership a week after we bought it, and was in and out of their service dept for a period of 4 months, still not fixed. I called the manufacturer, they recommended I take it General RV in Clarkston, they had us up and running, completely fixed within a week!! We were so impressed by their service dept, we decided to go to them for our new travel trailer, which we just took delivery of last month.. WOW, what a different experience! Every single employee went above and beyond. Scott, Tim, Nick, Jesse, Taya (the man who did our walkthrough, can't remember his name, was great too)..you are all amazing! Thank you for making this such an awesome experience!!

After having a horrible ordeal with our last RV Dealer, we found General RV Center in Clarkston. There we met an absolute gem of a salesman. David Karpelenia was a delight to work with. David went out of his way to make sure everything was done and done right. He even went to our old RV Dealer and picked up our RV that was in for service that never got serviced properly. David also gave us a credit to get a cover and said if that isn t enough to get the cover he would pay the difference himself. We had bought a cover for the R-Pod we traded in and we gave them the cover for it as well. David wanted to make sure everything worked out for both us and General RV so he made sure we got a cover for the new RV.It just keeps getting better there at General RV of Clarkston. We met Michele Sheeran who demoed our new Little Guy Max the RV we purchased when we traded our never used R-Pod 190. Michele was a delight, she answered all of our questions and took the time we needed to make sure we understood how everything works. Michele is a real class act, very professional.When we picked up our Little Guy Max the camera system wasn t in, so they ordered it in right away. Once it came in Michele and Shayla Johnson got things going and we got our camera system installed right away. Shayla and Michele worked as a team to make sure everything moved along quickly and easily for us.I can t say enough about the top-notch service and sales we received from David, Michele and Shayla. Also, the parts girl I didn t catch her name but she really helped us too!!!

We recently purchased a used Camper from General RV Clarkston. David Karpelenia did a great job in finding us the perfect camper and it met or budget. The unit was cleaned up and in like new condition when I did the demonstration with Michell Sheeran. She did an outstanding job of showing me all the details of set-up and explained things very well. She also worked with the previous owners to close out any open issues. Thank you everyone at this facility for an excellent purchase experience.

My husband and I are planning on retiring in the next year and are thinking of buying an RV. We found out Kary Vinyard, a close friend works at your clarkston location. We have a lot to think about, but if we decide to purchase an RV, we will definitely work with Kary.

Our salesperson was David Karpelenia. He spent a significant amount of time with us and helped us narrow down our needs. We have been tent campers for years. We had not intended to purchase that day (it was our first outing looking). He heard what we wanted and had a camper that fit our needs. We purchased that day. Looking forward to camping this year.

David Karpelenia and his team did an amazing job helping us pick the perfect travel trailer for our full time home! They went above and beyond to helping us and teaching us how everything works and operates. I would highly recommend seeing them for your next RV! They re very friendly and kind, even when I was late everyone stayed past closing time to make sure everything was installed and ready for my adventure! They also seemed happy and excited for me. I could tell they cared and enjoyed their work. Thank you General RV!!!

Do not buy anything from general rv. We purchased a used toyhauler in November. I received a voice-mail that our parts were in the day before we picked it up, which i found odd. I asked about it when we went in to pick up the rv, and they said it was a manufacturer recall on brake lines, and it had been repaired. ( this will come into play later). Since we had purchased it already, they came in under my name. First, they hid a hitch charge into our contract, which never did we buy nor talk about buying a hitch, which took a month for that money to be returned. Then, upon buying the rv, I immediately got home and took the wheels to check the wheel bearings, which none had grease, and every wheel was loose. I called and asked why I was charged a $4000 prep fee and what that entailed. I was told they do not fix or check anything on used rvs. The fee is simply to show how to use the rv, which I asked questions, and the person showing us couldn't even answer them. He said they don't carry Jayco Seismic, so he wasn't sure. I asked about the auto rehitch on the autolevel and was told it doesn't have it. Which it does, I figured it out on my own. So several hours go by, and they are winterizing the rv. They hook my truck up, and none of the lights work. So now two technicians are scrambling to figure out what the issue is after about 45 mins they figure out and replace pretty much every light on the trailer. We left for Florida a few weeks later, and there was a leak on one of the propane lines, so I replaced it. Upon doing so, the valve was free flowing propane. So, every time I have to switch out tanks, I have to shut off the other tank cause, if not propane free, flowed. So fast forward a couple of months on the way home from Texas the brakes go out in Kentucky. "Remember the warranty lines." Took rv to another general rv location they looked it over and said the lines were never replaced, but upon pulling the vin, it says warranty completed, so of course they are not gonna pay to ha e it done again so have to claim them on my extended warranty which I was told didn't happen that the original store was responsible to now pay for the repair after picking unit up was told extended warranty would not cover anything I had to pay for the propane issue and a overflow issue I had with the grey tank. So as soon as I got home, I called the extended warranty place, and they informed me they just paid for brake lines. Enough for now, just please do not buy from rv unless you want high blood pressure

My wife and I recently purchased a Coachmen Nova class B RV at General RV in the Village of Clarkston in Michigan. Our salesman is Dave Karpelenia and right from the first introduction, he was totally focused on us and our rv choice. He was polite and knowledgable of our Nova product selection. With his help we completed our factory order that same day. The Nova RV arrived from the factory ahead of the anticipated date as ordered. Any time I messaged Dave, he responded quickly. I highly recommend Dave Karpelenia if you are shopping for an RV at General RV of the Village of Clarkston in Michigan.
