I 1000/10 recommend Clarkston, performance, Paul and Joel are very nice people and are very skilled professionals.I took my off road 98 Chevy blazer for brake line work, and other work and when I got my truck back, it drove like a Brand new truck (no random noises or shakes). My brakes feel Amazing and before, they were on the verge of going out.From the top of my head , they welded my door pin so, now it closes perfectly (no more lifting it), replaced my brake line, put my old rims on new tires, installed a new muffler (my truck was very loud before and now it s quiet and doesn t leak in the cab), and they EVEN took the time to paint over any exposed metal and little rust spots here and there, and also greased my truck AND wiped away any debris.Clarkston performance went above and beyond and their shop is very nice and professional.I m definitely coming back for any other work in the future!

These guys suck. Paid 6k for a 383 stroker end up with a 355. I asked them to put a new radiator in and they said it was refurbished. It had parts from my old engine on it, Joel gave me the wrong oil # I called Paul for it. Joel forgot to put the fly wheel cover on. High rise was replaced with what ever, same carb which had a leak in it. Alternator bolt came out along with a water pump bolt.When they picked the car up said 2 weeks to build. 3 months later it was ready. I ended up shipping the car to Oregon to have a true 383 stroker put in it. They are going to video the pull out and tear down of the 355 and they will get it back in pieces. I wouldn't call them scammers, they are pics poor mechanics. Here your 5 star rating you wanted Joel. Now I know why you didn't want me in your shop. Quit screwing people over.

---> I highly recommend!! I brought my vehicle here to have the fuel line's replaced and exhaust fixed. While my vehicle was being worked on (me being the non-car person that I am) I was kept informed and updated on exactly what was being fixed, parts details, cost, knowledgeable answers to all of my questions, and options (when available) to best suit my budget and overall vehicle needs. I was also able to add on an oil change with no problem at all after realizing how long overdue I was! Everything was taken care of promptly, professionally, and at a good price. I had a great experience, and my vehicle is finally back on the road thanks to Clarkston Performance!!

Don t use these guys!!!! I had a engine rebuild done was told would be 2 weeks turned out to be over 3 months!!! Excuses after excuses!! when I did get my car back nothing but issues and parts I paid to have replaced were done with used parts. Worse part the brand new rebuilt engine I had done lasted 50 miles and I was told there was no warranty!!!! I now had to get my lawyer involved and will be making sure to get this handled. Worst experience and unprofessional guys I ve ever dealt with. After I left my review the owner Joel added a 5 star review about how bad of a customer I was and a bunch of lies. Please be aware of these guys there are multiple bad reviews with same issues I had. And the one part is true I have a lawyer involved and my car went to another shop and they wrote up a list of issues they found and used parts the shop used and things they found wrong that these guys did wrong. Lmao when I saw they added a 5 star review for themselves because they are trying to get there rating back up!!Service: Engine repair

These Guys are the TRUTH!!!! I watched a few of their YOUTUBE Videos, and i knew I wanted to do business with them!! I purchased a SBC for my 1976 Chevy G10 and that thang is on point. Paul was very helpful. I didnt meet him in person but I did meet Joel. Joel didnt just deliver the Motor, the guy put together my new engine hoist and everything. Clarkston Performance gets my business from this point on!!! Thanks Fellas

Probably one of the best mechanics I've ever had,very friendly, great price and they work quick and efficiently. Highly recommend. I was having issues with fuel delivery on my truck after taking it to several shops with no good outcome and spending a lot of time and money Joel and Paul made a quick diagnostic and found my issue. Don't recommend these guys at all. Bought a built sbc 350 for $3000. They didn't tighten the rear main down which caused a oil leak and spun the main bearings. They wouldn't take it back and fix it unless I paid them another $1000. Showed my local machine shop and they told me the motor wasn't built properly and was basically threw together. I guess you get what you pay for.Service: Engine repair

Thank you Paul and Joel. After my transmission went out and the dealer told me i was over my warranty Paul said drop it off and Joel replaced it with a low mile trans for next to nothing. Just had them put a built 502 Big block in my 1969 C10 and beef up the front suspension, man this thing is wild, they did great work, very pleased with the work that got done, price was even great they did it for $1,500 cheaper than two other places quoted me, I will always come back when needed

Worst experience I ve ever had with a shop,Brought 2 years ago my costume build zz502 boat engine with cracked block, they promised me a full rebuild engine. One year later they pushed me to pay the amount of 9k. I picked up the engine supposed to be rebuilt And fully tested!, brought it to my boat mechanic because they wasn t able to put it in the boat. Test run last summer failed base on really high idle and misfire through carb, found water in oil. Brought it back, payed another $600 because he said head had a little crack ( welding) no picture no recipe.Picked it up brought it back to my boat mechanic. Still misfire , brought it to Tyler Crockett, he disassembled the engine to see what was wrong,1.) they used a 454 short Block instead a zz502 as agreed to.2.) complete wrong cam3.) my pistons and everything else doesn t match with the 454 short block. They just put it half way together and scammed me clearly for the money.Engine needs to be rebuilt from a professional now. For another 10k. I m about to see an layer and SUE those guys. LUCKY I HAVE ALL THE TEXT MESSAGES. Thanks guys. Be aware of them.

Great company to work on your antique or classic car. I have been doing business with Clarkston for years and am always impressed. I bought my first engine from them years ago and recently needed service they picked it up fixed the problem and brought it back to me. Thank you again

Joel, Paul and their team built me a 355 SBC for my 70 Monte. I had issues with a different engine shop and these guys had this thing ready to rock in 2 weeks. I have completed the break in and this engine rips! Very satisified with this purchase and will update this review after their 1 year guarantee is up. I purchased a 350 chevy engine FROM them and it rums strong!!! I AM.A CANCER PATIENT AND I AM.GOING THROUGH RECOVERY !! JOEL DELIVERED MY ENGINE AND CAME BACK AND TUNED IT FOR A REASONABLE PRICE!!#HE ACTUALLY MADE ME N MY WIFE HAPPY FOR THE FORTH OF JULY WEEKEND BY TAKING 4 HOURS OUT HIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND TO GETT ME RUNNIMG!!!
