First of all these guys did in one day what I ve been asking every shop in a 50 miles radius to do for the last 2 months. Mark the General Manager is a solid as they come. Ray the Mechanic man your a life saver you literally brought my engine back from death. Not only that you made it look new too and thank you for adding on the extra 80 horsepower I ll be going here with all automobiles as well as refining anyone I like. Thank youCasey Smith

Mark is a life saver. Brought my 2019 Jeep Cherokee in due to it not coming out first gear. Fear of needing a new transmission and warranty might not cover the cost was set aside thanks to him and his team. Turned out a 3rd party software messed up something and he managed to fix the issue for a very affordable price. He could've lied and say I need a new transmission and cost me a fortune, but he took his time and found the real issue and helped me out. Will definitely be going back for future service.

Car would not start. Called Mark, he was patient, friendly, and helpful. Quick, prompt service! Appreciate that in a company! Got my car towed to Clarkston transmission. Mark was transparent and honest with costs and didn't upsell me. Got me right in the next morning and simple repair was complete promptly.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I drop off my car on a Friday and by the following Thursday they hadn't looked at it yet. Each follow up call with Mark was "your car is next" without providing a committed date. I had to tow my car to another shop not without spending over $400 in a rental vehicle because my only car was tied at his shop waiting in line. I wish he had been truthful about the real ETA for when my car could have been diagnosed so I could have based my decision on facts and not hope. Mark is nice and all, but not straight forward on committing to a diagnosis time.

Great shop, mark will be straight about what's wrong with your vehicle and is open to discussing various solutions. They do great exhaust work, I had them fix my differential and do the exhaust as an extra and I'm not sure if they bend their own pipes but they do great work, exhaust is spot on straight with the frame.

Very happy with Mark and his staff here at Clarkston Automotive and Transmission. Mark is very friendly, helpful, and witty. We had a big transmission issue unfortunately and after getting it fixed and back to us, it's in pristine condition and we are so satisfied. We will be using their services in the future if necessary and recommend them for transmission care.

Had one of our work vehicles towed in for a bad starter. They were friendly and had a quick turnaround on the repairs. We will definitely be going here in the future for any of our vehicle repair needs.

Mark is a genuine guy, gives it to you straight (and as cheap as he can) and cares about his customers/reputation. He also got us in the same day while the entire lot was full. Can't recommend this shop enough.

I took my car here to get my transmission looked at. They charged to look at it and told me everything was fine. One week later my transmission breaks... still out 120 dollars

Outstanding service. I was traveling from out of state and wanted to check out a brake noise. The guys were able to work me into the schedule and even dropped me a local restaurant while I waited. Brought my truck in to have transmission fluid changed since I was way overdue in mileage and I needed to go out of state the next morning.. Called Mark the owner, and he said bring it in, We will make it happen. The trans filter was difficult at best to locate, and he made several calls, and at best the dealer said they could have it to the shop the next morning. Mark explained, it has to be delivered today as the truck is going out of state. He got the filter delivered, the trans fluid was changed, and the truck ready for pickup by 4:30. Mark goes above and beyond along with his staff of technicians. I will never go anywhere else. Best service right there at Clarkston Transmission. And they also do other auto/truck repairs as well like when my radiator antifreeze line was leaking last year. Love those guys!

Great shop with great guys. My car broke down a few miles away from their shop, and I live 300 miles away. Not only did they help me get my car towed to their shop, but they were able to work on it and get me back on the road the same day. We re not taking our cars anywhere else ever again!!! Mark is trustworthy, compassionate and kind. As a woman it can be hard to find car care that you can trust. They went above and beyond on the work needed on our 2003 Honda. My family and I are beyond grateful. With over 300k miles it s running like new!! Thanks! pm ;-))

Mark knows how to run a great shop and treated us with respect from the first phone call. He explained everything thoroughly and definitely is a straight shooter but we appreciate the honesty when it comes to something that we know little about. Highly recommend for any trans needs!

My son s power steering began failing after he got his battery replaced earlier in the week by a different repair service. It was New Years Eve & my son was returning to college the next day. Many auto repair shops were closed & other shops had no availability for an emergency appointment. Mark & Rod were extremely kind & found room in their appointment book to squeeze us in & fix my son s power steering for a very reasonable price. Rod took the time to teach my son about auto maintenance on his car while Mark entertained us with some riddles & life stories while we waited. I would definitely recommend them for auto repairs. I ran out of gas near this shop. The gentlemen working here were beyond kind. They not only loaned me a gas can, they loaned me one of their personal cars to get to the gas station! If you're looking for genuinely nice, trustworthy guys, this is your place!
