These guys know what they're doing and we had a positive experience here at Jim's..Had a crash Friday, then Monday we got an estimate of the damage. Quick service. Great looking place. As you walk in the doors your met with racing memories and pictures.Thank you Jim's.

Let me start off by saying that the hospitality that the staff here showed us was top tier! We were in an accident off 115 with a GMC 3500 duel wheel truck that we had just bought last week, when the driver of an SUV who did NOT have the right away but couldn t see us turned out in front of us blindly and we collided. This towing company worked quickly to get our vehicle and trailer back to the shop and get us taken care of. All staff was very friendly and extremely helpful! If we could give 10 stars we would! We are so grateful for the kindness and if we lived up here this would definitely be our go to place!

I was traveling to Mount Pleasant from Bellaire when my fuel pump went out. Had an emergency tow to Jim's. From start to finish this place was incredible. Not only was the service spectacular, the sho itself is so cool! My son didn't want to leave! Everyone was extremely friendly, they were able to fit me in to their busy schedule, went out of their way to get me a loaner car and had a fuel pump by the next morning. Within 24 hours I was on my way heading back North. I can't thank these guys enough! I highly recommend this place!

I had an accident on 131 NB and I called Jims Body Shop. Automatic response helped with a tow to the body shop. Everyone I spoke with was professional and informative about the repairs to my four month old vehicle. There is also a texting app that will also keep you up to date on the repair time. I have used Jim's Body Shop twice in the last couple of months. The first time, I used them to have a car towed from Mt. Pleasant to Clare. The cost was very reasonable compared to everybody else I called. Other places wanted $400 + to go from Mt. Pleasant to Clare. Jim charged me $75. This second time now I used them was today for a jump. My car died, and I wasn't sure if it was the battery or alternator. The guy came out and gave me a jump. Very pleasant gentleman. I informed him I didn't have cash on me, and he told me just to call the shop and they would take care of me. The ladies in the shop are very pleasant and professional. I recommend Jim's Body Shop. Thank you, Jim & Crew, for all the help. You guys have my business.

I took my 2008 Impala there for a full detail inside and outside. It used to belong to my father who was doing all kinds of crazy things to it towards the end of his life. I ended up buying it from the estate and come to find out, a mouse had died somewhere in the car and I couldn t find it. It was smelly and gross. Anyway they found it burrowed underneath the passenger seat. The car looked and smelled like a brand new vehicle. I couldn t have been more pleased. They also gave me a great price on the rust inhibitor application. Thanks for the great service and beautiful work and especially for finding that dead mouse body! Jim and his crew are so nice. I have never been to an automotive shop that doesn't try to rip you off and take money out of ur pockets. He has a big heart and actually cares about his customers. I recommend this place to everyone.

I have read through all the rave reviews this shop has gotten, and I'm glad that the majority of people have had a positive experience with them. I have not and it's been incredibly frustrating to say the least.I hit a deer November of 2022 and had my car towed to Jim's because of all the great reviews and they directly worked with my insurance. I had bought this car two months prior and it was in fine mechanical/cosmetic condition prior to the deer incident.They did outstanding body work on my car and near the end of December, my car was "done". I went to pick it up and was impressed and excited to finally have it back. When I picked it up, the key fob was inserted into the middle console (it's a push start) so I didn't think anything of it when I started it. I also was too excited on my drive home that I realized a bunch of electronics were not working. I got home and investigated and realized my car would not start unless the smart key was plugged into the middle console, the locks would not work, the radio would not work, lights would not work, literally nothing was working unless the car was on. And it had to be turned on by physically inserting the key into the little slot. I immediately called Jim's and they were great and told me to bring it back so I did.Turns out, somehow a chip inside the engine that links to my key fob got shorted out during the repair process and they didn't realize this when they told me my car was done. They sent to car to Thelen Kia in Bay City for the repair part, but the repair part was (still is) on a national backorder with no date to when we could expect it. I'm pretty easy going and said no big deal, I can drive my old car until it gets fixed.Months and months passed and my old car started having it's own mechanical problems so I was in need of my car that Jim's had. I went to them and asked if I could at least drive it while we waited for the part (it was in driveable condition even though none of the electronics worked). This is now May 2023. They agreed and I went to Bay City to pick it up. I drove it from there to work in Clare and a few miles from my job, my car started acting up. The dashboard lit up like a christmas tree, I couldn't accelerate, my car wouldn't even turn off. All I could do was coast to the shoulder and keep my foot on the brake. I couldn't even shift into park. I called Jim's immediately to let them know that once again, I picked up my car and it is still having major issues that it didn't have before I dropped it off to them. I had it towed there and it turns out it was the alternator this time. I was charged a little under $900 for this fix including the tow.... even though I hadn't had my car for half a year and this was my first time truly driving it.After the alternator fix I got my car back again, still waiting for the chip inside the engine to be fixed. I also got my car back with even more issues this time. The seat in the back was folded down when I picked up my car and I can't even get it to fold back up. My back hatch won't open up now either. I feel like I got screwed. It drives fine and the exterior body work looks fantastic, 5 out of 5 stars for that. But I got my car back with a host of other problems that I didn't have prior to dropping it off at Jim's in November of 2022. I've lost hope that they will fix their mistakes at this point and have cut my losses so to speak. I still drive the car and it drives fine, but all the issues I have now are annoying and inconvenient. And after the money the insurance company paid them for the fix, I just expected to get my car back exactly how it was pre-accident. I usually never write bad reviews and like to give local companies the benefit of the doubt but this experience was unique to say the least.

On the way up north, we had a trailer problem off I75, got off the road, called Jim s 9pm, incredibly grateful someone answered. They towed back to facility, welded next morning. Saved our family weekend up north. Appreciate their honesty and willingness to help with an odd ball repair. Keep up the good work. Jim's did an excellent job on fixing my car from a run in with deer. Excellent job from the repairs, body work, to even getting my car cleaner inside and out from how it went in. They got everything done in great timing with great attitudes to boot. Beyond happy. Will recommend every chance I can.

Having background in the automotive repair industry helped me figure out real fast that Jim s Body Shop is a top rated and professional organization. From the moment of first contact for the estimate to the day I picked up my vehicle I dealt with experts who knew what was going on. I never had to wait for an answer. Great job Jim s Body Shop.

My problem was fixed, and for less than I anticipated. Super friendly people there. I got asked multiple times if I needed anything while waiting. I will definitely drive this far again for the service and peace of mind whenever possible.

As a former employee and customer, my conscience forces me to say that Jim seems to be the rare individual that wants to give everyone a hand up, be it a customer or employee. He achieves a level of service and professionalism that I have not seen a shadow of elsewhere, and does so expediently and with a level of attention that each feels in good hands. Excellent experience. They got me in on time, drove me to my massage appointment back in Clare, got the car fixed and came and picked me up. Super happy with their service. Someone backed out of a parking space into my car, doing a few thousand in damage. I took my car to Jim to repair and he and the staff I dealt with were very nice. I was kept up to date on my repairs and I was given a loaner. The work looks great. Hopefully I won't need their services again any time soon, but if I do I will use them. I definitely recommend them! I drove a half hour from Mount Pleasant and it was worth it.

Great body shop. Excellent service. I took my Honda in on Tuesday with a deep scratch and a little dent on the rocker panel of my right passenger door. I picked it up today and it is impossible to tell where the damage was. It looks wonderful.. They washed the outside and vacuumed the inside. The estimate was very reasonable and accurate. I highly recommend Jim's body shop. I will be taking my Audi in for some touch up shortly.

They go out of their way to accommodate their customers and they seem to do excellent work.There was a little bit of miscommunication at first but, as soon as mark got the word of what was to be done,he made it happen, kept me informed and got my truck fixed.thanks so much Mark and everyone else at Jim's body shop.Will use this business again if the circumstances arise

What on awesome group of people. From the phone call to stepping on their property they have customer service. Do I recharge my AC unit within 30 minutes of my arrival. I was pretty happy! Thank you guys for doing a great job keep up the good work

Always a pleasure. Jim is a great person who is always available to answer questions. They got my car done fast and it looked great after a deer decided to tangle with a moving object. Looks good as new, or even a little better. They go out of their way to detail the cars they repair.

I previously gave 4 stars due to not having a loaner car available to fit all of our car seats but I am changing that to 5. After having a trim piece lift due to the insurance company's requirement to reuse parts, they ordered the new piece and got me in right away with no hassle. They even accommodated my changes in schedule due to sick kids. Very understanding

I do a lot of business here because I work for a company with commercial trucks. I have also taken my personal vehicle in several times. They communicate very well and I have always found the prices fair. If you need their services then you are probably already stressed out a bit, but they do very well handling everything and I have always been happy with the results.

Needed to be pulled out of the ditch for the first time ever (so I was nervous) and the driver Jason I believe was so nice and did it so quickly!! Highly recommend!
