I have multiple vehicles, two of which are newer. In order to maintain the warranty, I have to have them serviced by the dealer who charges 3 times the amount. Muffler-man in Caro will continue to service my older vehicles because of their honesty, loyalty, and straight forwardness. I have been many places where I have felt manipulated and taken advantage of. The staff here seem to be honest, forthcoming, educational, and demonstrative. I give them 5 stars based on honesty, loyalty, warranty, and economics.

So my husband called about a week ago needing a 2 3/4 pipe and the lady said that they could custom order it and it would be there in a few days, we go to pick it up (she wasn't there at the time) the guy gave us what he SAID was 2.5 despite my husband even saying he called about the 2 3/4. We get back to our house to discover it was actually a 2 1/4 that he gave us. So after an hour drive BACK we get there and my husband explains the situation to the lady and she instantly got an attitude with him saying that she never said that and proceeded to give us attitude the whole time we were there. The only upside was that the mechanic that ended up helping us the second time was much more helpful and replaced what we needed with no additional cost despite having to put in more effort to make it right since they did not have the actual size we needed.

Had them do my bearings. Find out on my next oil change that they are bad and need to be done again. When I called and asked about it and they were very rude and disrespectful. (Issue still unresolved 11.6.23)

Another outstanding experience with Muffler Man. Had my vehicle inspected by elsewhere and received a quote that seemed dramatically high. Subsequently, took my truck to Muffler Man, resulting in a $1200 savings for the work that needed to be done. I've had good and not-so-good experiences with this shop over the years, but this last one was outstanding! I called for a rough estimate on replacing a tail pipe and was told $85-$100ish, which sounded about right to me. I dropped it off and asked them to call me when done and I'll pay over the phone and pick it up later (I definitely trust them that much). They called me about a half-hour later and said it doesn't need to be replaced - just patched up. Then they called me saying it was done - $65 total. They very easily could have just done their patch job and told me the price was $100, but they didn't. They weren't just honest - they were honest when they didn't have to be. There may have been technical mistakes in the past, but this job earned a ton of respect and trust from me and I am thankful!

This is one of the best shops around. I take all my vehicles to this muffler Man and it is over an hour away from my home. The staff is great and the Manager is one of the best mechanics I have ever met! Will continue to visit Shannon and guys! They do great work, always busy. Best to make an appointment but expect to leave you car as they are not always the quickest getting your work done even with appointments. Dropped truck off at 8:00 am for rear shocks and spark plugs with appointment and did not get it back till 3pm. But I expect it as I have had my work done there for 20 years. So if you need you car back quickly this may not be your kind of place.

Called about my exhaust and got a quote and said that it all needed to be redone and then got it back and was not what we talked about and then they never gave me my stuff back like I asked and had to go back and get it and they said it was in the trash but it was inside there garage to the side like they were keeping it. And then it wasn't bad at all. So that was a wast of 500 dollars when it didn't need what they said.will never go there again or recommend anyone there.

All you need to know can be learned by a look at the parking lot. It is almost always packed. Other repair facilities usually look like they are waiting for someone to please come in.The reason for this large customer base is apparent to me. Honest, prompt, and fairly priced. Honest mechanics always have lots of work. I have taken my vehicles there for many years and never been disappointed. The current crew is outstanding.

They didn't take responsibility for their mistakes that caused my car to go off the rode causing all kinds of other damage to new recently replaced parts less then 15 miles from picking it up. Thankfully no one was hurt. They towed it then expected me to pay again to fix the things that they had just replaced on the vehicle. Very unprofessional. The mechanics come and go. You never work with the same people each time you go in. Prices are great but back to you get what you pay for. Cheap prices for cheap work.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair

Price was different then what I was quoted on the phone, I didn't get the work done. my car just made a grinding sound because of the brakes when I brought it in, but when I got it back my vehicle is making a whole new sound. I hope I don't have a new problem!

I hate posting ratings so low but the office lady who answers the phone is lazy and so rude. I didn't even make it in the door so I can't rate the mechanics. I called to see if they had a particular muffler in stock and she refused to look. Her demeanor was off the charts terrible. She was snappy. Anyway, I found a different Muffler Man 579 in Lapeer and had a wonderful experience by people who were very helpful, the Owner and the Mechanic. I don't recommend calling the Muffler Man in Caro if you have any questions or want to know if they have something in inventory. She will make you feel like her job is such an inconvenience and will refuse to help.

Two different service techs told me two different things were causing the issue with my car and both "fixes" didn't fix the issue. They said that they would remove the part that they replaced and give me my money back but when I called to take it in I was told they didn't have the time to do it.

Needed an oil change. Called the day of and it was done before 2pm. Can't ask for better service! Friendly staff and great customer service!

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!! Asked how much parts were separate from labor, and the part came to $169!! Called the store they got it from and the prices didn't match up! Asked why and they said they charge whatever the boss tells them to charge for a part!! Be safe and get part numbers and price them to make sure you are getting the best part for the best money & not the most expensive price they choose to charge!! PRICE GOUGERS!!

I called just to get an estimate on brakes (front and rear) the guy on the phone automatically quoted 500$$!!! and added that that price is with cheap parts! I called Muffler Man Lapeer and she at least said she could not give me a price until they look at it and promised that it would not be 500$. Good customer service is worth driving the extra 10 miles!!

Very fast service Went in for engine light service and car slow acceleration, was told Ineeded a tuneup got the work done and now I m satisfied great job reasonable price for V-8

They have excellent CAR service. Don't take offense to the lady at the counter she is honestly nice and just doing her job. Also they are very through and have a sense of urgency.

Worst place I ve ever went to , took my truck up for a way over priced break job because I was in a hurry and ended up takin over 10 hours to do because they broke all 3 of my break lines and I had to pay for them even though they broke them so it cost me almost 600 Bucs for there mess ups, then the guy noticed my drive shaft was lose and quoted me over 1,200 Bucs I just looked at him and smiled called my mechanic boom 250 Bucs runs like new. My point is don t ever stray from your mechanic and stay the F away from that Rip off Place in caro.

I found out I had a oil leak on a Saturday and it was 1 1/2hrs from home. My Daughter mentioned Muffler Man. They got me right in. Thank you Shannon for your Honesty and professionalism.

The staff is always friendly and fast. They let you know if you have any other problems with your vehicle then what you came in for, would come back.

I was highly dissatisfied the lady behind the counter told us that one of the exhaust they had would have a deep "throaty" sound and it sounded like stock exhaust. I was also disappointed on the way the pipe was ran out the side of my truck

They keep parking cars on the sidewalks & I'm always having a rough time going around them with my handicap bike. Yesterday was worse. One big car completly on the sidewalk & two regular cars directly beside it. I barely had room to go around & I got a picture of it. I dont know if its illegal or not but either way it's just common sense & courtesy that doesn't exist.

Professional service, great prices to the point does not make sense to fix it yourself even if your handy.
