As a first time visitor I was beyond pleased with the service I received. Efficient and friendly, all the employees who serviced my car made me feel so welcome and well taken care of! All services and maintenance checks were explained and any additional offers were presented without pressure to oblige. I felt respected and I greatly appreciated the staff who took such good care of my car, I look forward to returning for future maintenance!

Will never be coming here again I'm not from around here, so I thought I'd stop in for a quick oil change but it took 35 min!! There was 3 guys up top standing around and only 1 guy underneath working and taking the oil filters off. What a joke I asked politely 3 time if they could possibly move a little faster since waiting here was gonna make me late for work. All they did was just say sorry he's going as fast as he can. Yea I don't recommend coming here at all l. Can't believe you get paid to have 3 people to stand around waiting for one guy to do all the work.

Management really needs to re-train their "techs" on proper filter installment. Hand tight guys. That's all it takes. And please, lube the gaskets. If you want a 16 year old who doesn't know a wrench from a hole in the wall working on your car, you know, your second biggest investment? Then this is the place for you.

Usually had good service at the Canton location. After a snow storm I heard metal scraping. Come to find out that there was a spot on the skid plate that was bent. After lifting the car, I found out that the technician had inverted my skid plate and so it was installed incorrectly. When I tried to unscrew the bolt to flip the skid plate back over, i found out that the technician had cross threaded the bolt. I spoke to the manager and every time i tried to explain what was happening he would cut me off and say that since I ve worked on my car before, they re not held liable for any damage from the ice storm. I told them the problem was that the skid plate was installed incorrectly and a bolt was cross threaded. He kept saying, we can take a look but we are not held liable for it since it s been a couple of weeks. He kept trying to blame me and that they weren t at fault. He kept saying anything could have happened over the last 3 weeks. He kept trying to make me feel like I was trying to one over on him. He didn t realize I worked for goodyear as an automotive technician for over 8 years. I know when a technician screws up. Moving forward I will just have to do my own oil changes. Do not trust the Canton Location to do right by the customer even when they re at fault. They will just talk over you so you can t get a word in and make you feel like it s your fault and not theirs. Customers beware.

I ve been going to Valvoline for a while now and I ve had all good experiences. My last oil change I went to the one in Dearborn, which I have already posted a review about, and it was a bad experience. Yesterday, I went to the one in Canton, on Ford road. I ve never had a problem with this location but this time I did. I pull in and waited (which was fine I expected it), but usually they will check your lights, blinkers, and windshield wipers before anything. That didn t happen. They went straight to the oil change, even tho they didn t even ask me what I was there for, which they usually do. I was shown my air filter which was a little dirty and asked if I wanted to replace it, I declined. A little while after, they showed me my oil level, I was told I would be good to go as soon as they check that everything with my oil was good. What about my wipers, lights, and tires? So I asked. I was told Oh yeah we re going to do that after the oil change but all of your fluids look nice .The technician went around my car putting air in my tires without even looking in my door to see the correct psi, and he filled them too much. He put my hood down and said I was good to go. I didn t want to inconvenience them with the rest, since it seemed like they didn t want to do it anyways . Once I was to my destination, I looked at the front of my car and there were oil spots on my hood, yet again. I expect more from a place like this who gets probably hundreds of customers a day and are trusted by many. I will have to go to yet another location if I want things to be done fully.

I went here early one morning and I was asked to switch lanes with a truck that was also waiting. I was thinking to myself now why would I need to do this however I went ahead and switched lanes. My wait was very long and cars began to line up behind me and the row next to me that I was asked to move from. They finished the truck, then another truck pull in and pulled off then another truck also pulled in and pulled off making 2 people that have now gotten in front of me before I was seen. It was finally my turn. Now even though I was angry I didn't say anything and just thought to myself I won't be coming back here. The tech were moving very slow, didn't apologize for my long wait or the fact that they had me move and other went before me when I arrived first. They seemed to have no interest what so ever to get me in and out and didn't offer any great customer service. I will drive out of my way next for my oil change next and will not be returning to this location . Tech your techs customer service and that it is important to apologize to the customer.

We got there at 4:30pm on Sunday 3-3-24 (they close at 5pm) we got in line (bay 2) and at 4:38pm technician came out and said sorry, car in front of you will be the last one. We are from Ohio and our Valvoline takes you as long as you are there before they close. Also, they could have told us when we got there that they were done working for they day (as we watched a technician leave as we were in line instead of making us wait 8 mins!)

Usually very friendly staff. As I entered the garage there was no greeting, I wasn't asked what I came in for but was told what they believe I needed. Out of fear i may drive off i was told i need to place my keys on the dash for their visibility. I was greeted with an eye roll when i presented my coupon for my oil change. May need to try a new location.Service: Oil change

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! UNLESS YOU HAVE AT LEAST 2 HOURS TO WAIT!!!!!!Waited over an hour .. just to get in for an oil change and I was next in line . They did perform a tire rotation on vehicle in front of me.. which added time .. which was awful.. had to cancel an appointment .. Gone are the days of 15-30 minute oil changesSo .. my experience.. and reviews below.. give yourself at least two hours of your day.Bonus they lost screws for air filter..Will be finding new locationFriendly Staff is why I gave them 2 stars.. or it would ve been 1 starService: Oil change

Somewhat disappointed. I usually only go to Valvoline due to their quality and thorough work but what I experienced today was lacking the workmanship I have known to expect and trust. I always get the 100% synthetic complete full service and today I was let down. The reccomend services for my cars mileage were not offered, they were vaguely mentioned after I had already paid which if I was offered them from the beginning I would have opted to have it completed. This included a tire rotation, fuel system service and air filter totaling about another $250 on top of the $150 I had already spent. I had to ask for new wipers, it was never offered and none of my lights or signals were checked. The guys working had somewhat of an idea how to change the wiper blades and it took 4 guys almost 15 extra minutes to figure out how to install the wipers. The guys dripped oil on the top side of my engine under the hood and failed to wipe it up and left multiple hand/oil smudges on my hood (I had just gotten the works on a car wash). The staff was friendly but it had came to a below par service standard that I have come to expect from Valvoline. I bought my car brand new and always perform the necessary and reccomend service maintenance. I hope this can be remedied.

15 minute job took almost two hours, most of that sitting in the bay waiting for them to get the correct part delivered from a location less than a half mile away. They gave me a fractional discount and a coupon for future service for my trouble but they should have been ashamed of themselves to ask for any compensation after that kind of wait. I emailed their corporate customer service over a week ago and never got any response, so I guess it's not just this particular franchise that is poorly run. If only 0/5 were possible.

I go here for almost every oil change, and the level of service is pretty consistent. Haven t had any issues with the work they perform, and I appreciate that they make recommendations for additional services - but they don t become push salesmen if you turn it down! Will keep coming here for oil changes and the occasional car service!

Other places in Canton often have better deals with coupons, but this is my go-to oil change place because I've always found them to be reliable, knowledgeable, honest, and friendly.Just today, for example, they told us the oil looks good for another two or three thousand miles, topped off fluids, checked tires, and sent us on our way, no charge.

Honestly, it took us way too long to get our oil changed. I was stuck waiting behind a SUV getting their tires rotated for over a hour. They should stop accepting tire rotations 1 hour before close. Who goes to a Valvoline instant OIL CHANGE for tire rotations?They didn t get started on my car until after they closed, and I m thankful they still accommodate me, but I had been there for a solid hour beforehand.Kinda frustrated with the whole experience. They gave me $20 off but I still ended up paying $95 for everything.I don t think I ll be back to this location anytime soon.Service: Oil change

I ve been doing my oil changes here for years. I like the convenient location and the quick service, the people there also always seemed to know what they are doing. Recently, this place has been focusing on diversifying and hiring women way more than actual quality. It didn t seem as a real issue first since the people doing the actual important work still seemed to be good.Today, a female employee by the name Sharday almost put the wrong oil type in my car after asking me what kind of oil my car takes. Literally completely just guessing, she put 5-30 in her system I told her to check the oil cap and it said 5-20 on it and she corrected her mistake while shrugging her shoulders and mumbling I don t know . You should also see her typing on the keyboard with her one inch long nails. She also entered recommended on changing the air filter even before opening the hood and checking the actual filter. Along with recommending every other service on the face of the earth based on the mileage of the vehicle without actually checking anything.Just about the most cringy and unprofessional time I had to ever spend changing the oil in my car.

$80 for an oil change. I said that's more than double what it usually costs. He says we'll I don't make the prices. I should go somewhere else but I waited in line 40 minutes (2 cars) and I'm already hood open in here. Never again. Oh wait. He just last minute found me a 15 off coupon. Sweet but I'm still not coming back.

These are the most honest and trust worthy group of employees working at this establishment. I have had Oil Changes, rotating tires and bulbs in headlights and brake lights done here through the years. Oh yeah air in my tires. Being a female going to get service can be hard. I been lied to many of times by well known places. It is very refreshing and relaxing to know there are good hearted people still in this world. This is ridiculous been sitting here for 40 mins NO CARS HAVE MOVED. Now, I might not get my oil changed as often as I should it never have I ever waited so long and no one moving. Almost All the employees you have in there are women who are too worried about their nails than to do a dirty oil change. Looks like you might need to hire new people preferably the ones who don t mind getting dirty and doing their job in a timely fashion btw I am a girl and would never work this slow it s ridiculous I m just about to take my money elsewhere!!

I went, they need adult supervision. Found out the next day my skid plate was not connected correctly. Had to go back after work the next day to get it bolted back on.

Waited two hours with only two cars in front of us (one was only a tire rotation). Eventually had to leave so my daughter could get to work. No oil change today. Several people there but not many working. Very frustrating.

I pulled up (like an A-hole) at 4:58 on a Sunday and these gentlemen took me as their last car of the day and by no means were they obligated to do so. It took them 10 minutes and they were all very polite and kind to me even though they should have been clocked out and on their way home. Please don't pull up right at close thinking that's their specialty because it's not, but considering the circumstances they could have been at least rude to me and we're not. They were professional and quick. 10/10. Thanks guys!!!

I've been to Valvoline Instant Oil Change's all over the country and I have never been disappointed with the friendly, professional, and efficient work of their service team. Staff here is amazing. We ended up not getting the oil change with them but while I was already on the hoist they went ahead and filled up my fluids and my tires and did a safety check before sending me on my way. Highly recommend these guys!
