On August 5th My car was in an accident, so the tow truck driver recommended I take my car to Mel s Auto services. He swore This was a phenomenal shop, vs me taking it to a shop the insurance company recommended. I trusted his word. Since than this has been the Worst Auto Shop I ve ever been to in my life. 1. Firstly it s September 30th and the shop still has my truck they ve kept my truck for so long that I was offered a rental by Shawn. I truly understand this is a process especially dealing with insurance companies. Before picking up the rental I called over the phone to whatever employee was on duty @11:00am on September 30th. I asked the man is this rental reliable and safe. He responded I promise it s safe, and it s not an old car. Long story short, the rental I was put in by Mel s Auto services and Shawn was very very unsafe, the ball joints, tie rods, and wheels feel as if the car is about to fall apart while I m driving. I was extremely heated that they treat their customers in such a nasty manner. This tops the cake the car looks like it s been in an accident. I m hopping they never repeat this to another customer. This car should be banned from rental services along with the shop.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Body & Trim

Horrible place! Called roadside assistance through Progressive, given ETA of 90-120 minutes. I call Mel's after 90 minutes had elapsed. Told he was dropping a vehicle and would be to my location in an hour. Another 90 minutes later. I call Mel's again and was told the don't know when they'll get to me. Worst company ever.

It s unfortunate you can t give 0 stars. This place is a joke, waited over 3 hours for a tow that they kept delaying, only to ignore my phone calls and lie to the insurance company that they were texting me. No contact, no nothing, just delays over and over through my insurance app and no ability to talk to anyone. These people are not courteous or thoughtful and I can imagine they run every aspect of their business that same way.

I called for a tow during a winter blizzard. I told the dispatch I m with 2 young kids. Within 30 minutes they arrived. They prioritized my family and safety. For that, I m very grateful and would recommend again. The company before them kept us waiting for hours and did not show up. THANK YOU Mel s auto!

They left my wife on the side of the road for 3 hours and then did a no call no show. It was supposed to be an hour wait for a flat tire. Then they wouldn t answer the phone and told the insurance company that she was not with the vehicle, which was a lie, they never came or called. I will be strongly encouraging my insurance company to cancel their contract with them.

Had my car towed through my insurance company. Mel's got to me in less than 45 min (insurance company said 2-2 1/2 hrs. The tow truck operator was very professional and courteous. Very safety conscious during the 30 min ride to the dealership.

Let s see, we were told an hour and maybe two.I guess it should have been four hours at least.Needing a spare put on is too much of a job, can understand that things take bit but, this is a complete lack of professionalism.Guess I ll contact our company that they need to contract with a different tow company.Going on four hours, I am going to be sending a bill for an Uber tomorrow since we won t be able to drive our own vehicle.So I guess they canceled so needing transportation to St. Joes for surgery tomorrow. Won t be a customer of theirs ever. Would rather pay more at a dealership for any work needing to be done.

I want to say my experience was great !!! My insurance selected this company to tow my vehicle after the first company had me waiting for two hours. I called my insurance company back and they got Mel s Auto to tow my truck . I next received a call from tow truck driver Chris who was very professional and told me he would be there in 17 minutes. He arrived as stated and got me to the tire shop fast. Once we got to the shop and my truck was released off of the tow truck . I open my truck door to pull in the tire shop and my driver door fell off . Tow truck driver Chris jumps into action with assisting me to reattach my door and then explains to me what I need to do to fix the problem. I want to make this clear everyone that maybe reading this . This was not Mel s Auto Or Chris faults it s a 97 Chevy obs very old truck. I want to say to Chris thank you for being such a great professional and caring person. You don t find employees that go the extra mile for customers . Thanks again to Chris and Mel s Auto I truly would recommend this company to a friend !!!

Estimated time for my tow was 90-120 minutes and then when I didn t hear anything, I was told to wait another 45-1 hour and then When I didn't hear anything after another hour, they told my insurance it would be an additional 45-1 hour so I ve been out waiting for over 3 hours following an accident with no tow

My honda accord was over heating. The first shop I went to said my water pump and radiator was leaking and quoted me over $900 to repair it. I brought it into Mel s and it was just a leaking pressure hose. Sean was Very honest and I will be sure to use them on my other vehicles.

I have to be honest, I doubted the outcome however, the staff came through as promised...i was pleased with the service that was rendered and I must admit they went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend Mels Auto. Thanks for the communication Shawn and staff.

I needed a winch out service out of the snow in the storm this week. Progressive roadside assistance requested the service for me. Whenever I call they give me a wrong ETA and at the end I called another company to get winched out and didn t cancel with them and tell now 3 days later didn t call to do the service. Horrible experience, very unreliable and unprofessional when calling or doing the service

Alternator replacement when I was out of town and in a pinch without tools. Service was good, work was good, but it wasn t cheap. Good work never is.

Excellent service. I got a flat tire and needed a tow. I was recommended Mel s auto by a friend. I was told they were about an hour or so out. They ended up getting to me within 45mins! && The Tow truck driver Jeff, was so pleasant to ride with) I m so thankful that it was a smooth, easy experience. Thank you!!

Waited a couple hours for road side assistance, needed a jump. Dude put the wrong cables on my battery and there was a big electrical shock but he ended up jumping me. Nice enough dude but it took forever and then he messed up on putting the positive and negative on when he jumped me.

Do you like waiting several hours for a no call no show towing service? Some rude dude answering the phone and getting pissed when you ask him hey, how long is it looking until you guys get here? You said an hour an hour ago ? A place that takes their phone off the hook and leaves you stranded? Well look no further than this wonderful establishment. :)

So ridiculous, I strongly would NOT recommend unless you're ready to not have your car for MONTHS...Four months ago, had my car give me the blinking check engine light; so I took my vehicle to Kia, they had it for a few weeks not really contacting us, and seemed to expect it when we went in to ask for the car back to take it elsewhere. That evening (May 15th), we took it to Mel's Auto Shop down the road, expecting a short turnaround because when explained Kia had it for almost a month, they were surprised and said, "yes we can service it, and we won't have it that long."They don't communicate much better than Kia, after couple weeks and trying to call to know what's going on, they finally get it checked out, tell us be $400 to take apart the engine which needs to be done, because it's a timing issue and three of the cylinders are misfiring; but have to take it apart to know what's wrong. We give them the go-ahead; another few weeks go by, they come back with saying they had to fix the sensors and parts in the engine; about $1200. Next, they tell us it's still "misfiring" so they have to take it apart again.This is so ridiculous, I have not had my car since April 21st; Mel's Auto Shop has had it since May 15th and it is STILL not fixed... I very strongly would not recommend anyone go there, unless you are prepared to be without your car for months!!

Very satisfied with Mel s! The tow driver recommended this shop for mechanical issues on my Range Rover and i m super happy with my results. I got my car back in two days and was offered a rental for the time being. An experience I thought was going to be difficult and time consuming ended up fast and efficient.I d recommend to anyone!

I was there for synthetic oil change with Groupon coupon that also includes full inspection of vehicle. But I was not fully convinced for various reasons, it took three days to get this work done as they kept on avoiding. They don't give appointment but as soon as you go there they ask if I have an appointment.Finally when they got it done it was a blank invoice with no information about number plate or VIN number.Don't feel like going again.

Just picked up my car with a complete brake job. Sure, it took a little longer than I expected but when you consider three other places kept telling me that the brakes and rotors were just "fine", it's probably the ABS even though no warning lights for it. All the while the brakes were squishy, continued to get worse until the pedal was almost to the floor! Mel's took the time to do it right, dealt with crummy lug nuts and stiff worn out parts. Brakes, rotors, lug nuts, bleed the line. They did the work and gave me satisfaction rather than a fearful ride and excuses. Now I know why they come so well recommended. Hard work pays off. They already know!Especially thank you Lambert for your determination and skill!
