I had a bit of a pull and was worried about making it back to Traverse City, came in here and it turned out great. They did a good inspection and pointed out some things that were not brought to my attention before. So it was overall a good experience and educational experience. Made it back to TC just fine too.Service: Vehicle InspectionService: Vehicle Inspection

I ended up stranded in TC today with my family due to poor maintenance work done at my Hyundai dealership. Dealership was useless and not willing to help at all. My husband and I called around to about 6 places with no luck. Then we came across these guys. They got us right in and immediately ordered the parts for us. They did everything they could to keep us updated and informed. Only took them about 3 hours to get it fixed up so we could safely get back on the road. Thank you so much Tuffy!

Scheduled appt for an alignment. They spent the first hour and a half visually inspecting my vehicle with tires on still and still on the ground, mind you, the proceeded to come to me with a list of over $2000 in parts, saying I needed all those parts before they would even attempt the alignment.Bottom Line, they want to up sell you on parts, ALL BEFORE even looking into or troubleshooting your original issue. And after going to another shop, the whole list was wrong and still would have left me with bad tires, and a bad wheel bearing even if I spent the 2000 with them.Be careful. Know a bit about your vehicle or they ll try to sell you every part they can. Without even verifying the part is bad.

Charged me $200 to fix my back brakes locking up. I told them when I left that it was still happening and they said no it is not . Fast forward a week later my brand new brake pads were completely wore down and my rotors were screwed. So not only did they lie to me and take $200 but it also caused a lot more in damages. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

Came in to get 4 snow tires put on. Called to days in advance to setup an appointment to make sure everything would be good. From start to finish, took the them 95 mins to do what should've been a 40 min job. When I asked what was going on I was told they don't do tire just auto "stuff" and they are doing the best they can and his employees were not happy to be doing them in the first place. Also they would not honor their military discount with me.

Great customer service by John. Checked my radiator, filled my coolant, showed me how to maintain my vehicle and did not charge me a arm and a leg. Thank you so much.

I have called them a couple times to get quotes and the guy I always talk to, Larry, is extremely rude. Never went to them and never will :)

We were coming back from camping and the truck started shaking so bad we thought we blew a tire. We hadn't, but decided to find somewhere to buy new tires (we knew we needed to get new ones soon, but didn't realize it would be so soon!) Ruffy got us right in and even realized the truck had thr wrong sized tires on it! They were fast and gracious! We appreciate all their help!Service: Tires

My husband went here with a coupon for an oil change last month, no it wasn't expired and yes it was for this location, we got it through email. The person at the counter refused to honor the coupon and was extremely rude about it. Bad business tactic guys! Why are you sending out coupons then refusing to honor them?We weren't the only ones. There was another woman behind him who had the same issue. The person behind the counter then told both of them to leave after she spoke up!

I took my van in for what I suspected was a brake line leak in the front. I did not have the time or access to a hoist, to investigate more thoroughly. When the estimate came back they said they could not find a leak, but they found that the cylinders were bad in the rear drum brakes, and that everything was covered in fluid, and needed to be replaced. Was quoted 825.00 for the repairs. I declined the repairs and took it home, and did the brakes myself. The condition was not as bad as I was told, but I replaced everything anyway, since I had it apart. After bleeding the system, the brakes still would not pressurize. I reinvestigated, and within 5 minutes of putting it up on ramps, I found a obvious hole worn into a line in the front.Tuffy was either not through enough, or in the most likely scenario, wanted to sell a full brake job, then sell a brake line replacement, once the leak was discovered.Either scenario is enougj reason to not trust them.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Quick and affordable services, took my SUV in for balancing and an alignment and extremely happy with how it drives now. Definitely recommend going here for your alignment needs, cheaper than most places in the area and they work you in fast!

I called. Didn't use the service but the guy on the phone was really rude. I don't usually take things personally but I was basically called dumb for suggesting I may need an alignment after getting a new tire.

Good service but very poor timing. An hour -and twenty minutes to mount and balance 2 tires is a bit long

I use to love bringing my trucks here never had a problem till now.. had a fuel pump replaced by them, they did good, couple months later the fuel pump statys throwing codes.. they wanna tell me it's an electrical issue. Knowing I had another mechanic shop look at it that I trust 100%. But yet tuffy wants to charge me over 300 just to look at it. It's a fault fuel pump and under warranty, just change it.. will be calling the BBB.

Horrible experience. Was told our vehicle would be finished yesterday. Went there today and was still not done so I was told it would be a half an hour to forty five minutes. I called a half an hour later and all of a sudden it will be approximately an additional hour. Absolutely ridiculous for the price we are paying to get this done. Making promises without delivering on them. Now, we must spend more time and money to drive another 35 minutes to get the car and that's if they don't lie on the time again. Awesome.EDIT: Thank you Larry for stepping up and doing the right thing in taking the price down to cover gas and work time lost.

**SCAM WARNING**I brought in a car I bought in the area, and was taking it back to Ohio. All that was needed, was an alignment. I was originally quoted at $78. 15 minutes after dropping it off, I get a call from this place saying there was a lot more than needed replaced, and the front end was loose. They gave me a quote for a additional $700-$800, and that they wouldn't do the alignment without it due to "safety". I offered to waive the liability so I could get the vehicle back to Ohio. They said it wasn't possible without the additional parts and cost.I took it to another body shop down the road. Not telling the mechanics anything about Tuffy, they not only did it cheaper ($59) than the original Tuffy quote, but after it was finished, they said the front was tight, and the alignment was quick and easy after asking if they seen anything off. This was my first and last experience at any Tuffy. I'll never go with Tuffy again in my life, and I'll warn everyone about that business. These guys need to be put in prison. People like this are true criminals against humanity.

I brought my car in and was charged for the diagnostic. They said it was fixed and I picked my car up and drove maybe 1 mile down the road and it was still acting up. I took it back to them and they looked at it the next day and still could not figure out what was the problem. We paid before we picked up the car and contacted Tuffy to have the owner call me back for a refund of partial refund since the car was not fixed. I never received a call back. Larry at the desk became very rude when I mentioned the problem. I have used Tuffy in the past and noticed that Larry gets rude when there is problems, but have not had any issues with getting our car fixed before. My husband and I have made the decision to only go to Steve's Auto Repair from now on. Steve is great!

This place is ridiculous. I had my car in here in may 3 weeks after I bought it when it was still under $0 deductible warranty. I told them it sounded like a wheel bearing was going out they told me no I need to rotate tires. I did what they said the noise continued to get worse. Took it to another mechanic and yes it is the wheel bearing going out and now of course I have a deductible to pay. Why couldn't they just fix it in the first place. If I could give no stars I would. Such bs

This store lost the lug nut key to my car and the manager, Larry, made it right with me. He was courteous and respectful and was willing to admit the mistake and make up for it. We all make mistakes and that's the best we can hope for when we do. Thank you, Larry.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

They supposedly did a wheel alignment on my vehicle took a back to them 2nd time apparently check the alignment with no documentation presented to my wife and said they rebalanced the wheels with no documentation for the 2nd time and it's still no good I would recommend midis downtown Cadillac any day of the week. Steering wheel still crooked to the right if you put it in the middle and pulls hard to the left. I will go to midis to have a real alignment done on my 2016 kia sedona. Hopely you guys will refund the 69.95Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

Thank you Tuffy for taking care of my my wife's tire change at the last minute. I know that you were busy, yet you squeezed her in, and she said your staff was helpful and friendly. I would give 6 stars if possible! Thanks again!

While the manager was very helpful in getting our vehicle fixed, FINALLY, I would not recommend the mechanics that work there. Had the vehicle in to fix the problem multiple times, had to wait, leave the vehicle there. Was told twice that the vehicle was fixed, only to find out it wasn't, and take it back yet again. Very frustrating. Was not a very good experience and I can't recommend this place to anyone.

I was in Cadillac when my brakes went to the floor, called a few places that couldn't get me in. Tuffy said sure. I slowly made my way and I had a broke brake line across the top front, they replaced and I was on my way in about 45 minutes. Friendly and fast in my opinion.

My wife's vehicle sounded as if a front wheel bearing was going bad. We took it to Tuffy for an estimate. They were adamant that it was the left rear wheel bearing and quoted us a price for the part that was double what I could purchase a high quality Timken bearing for. Thankfully we did not have them complete the work. The left rear bearing was fine. It was the front right bearing that needed replaced.

THESE GUYS ROCK! Fixed a broken brake line for me in about 4 hours.Gave me special preference because I needed to get to Grand Rapids from Cadillac ASAP.Was afraid I'd have to find a room for the night, or get someone to drive to Cadillac and pick me up.These folks actually get how this works. Real customer service. I think they know they can make a difference in someone's experience in the auto repair business. I give them a big 5 stars...Thanks Tuffy, Cadillac. I am not the smartest auto mechanic in town: yet I am not the dumbest one either. As a matter of fact I am not an auto mechanic at all. However, I can normally tell the real deal from mockery. I believe the staff at Tuffy, is the real deal because, they have recently impressed me with their upfront knowledgeable communication skills, informative easily understood pre-analysis, and their repair of my loved one brakes. In the name of, Jesus; May God, be blessed and may God, bless you. All glory to, God!!!: in the name of, Jesus.
