Slow as molasses, but also our car was trapped in the bay long after it was completed. They decided to remove a tire from a car that was blocking the door. Had to wait even longer. There is a reason we only go to them for tires and oil changes! They are the same as always through the years.

Called to see if could get truck looked at. Web says open till 6. Receptionist said no problem at 2:45, tech said nope we close at 3. Come on simple question. Get your stories straight. Yes , no , 3 or 6 ? Looks like a no.

We have used them before but not emergency.We blew a tire on our fifth wheel. Called all around to closer companies and finally called Peterson s and they came to get us back on the road. Very professional.Thank you Peterson s for your great service.Service: Tires

I had the front wheel bearings go out on my truck in st ignace on vacation with my family. A different shop fixed it up there but told me to stop 100 miles after and have a shop check my lug nuts to make sure everything was still tight. I stopped at 4 other shops that told me it would be a 2 hour plus wait or just refused to do it because they were to busy. when I stopped here and asked if they could help the owner was in disbelief that no one would take the 30 seconds it took to check them and they did it for no charge i left a tip because i dont believe in getting something for nothing and because no one but them took the 30 seconds to help me out. Great people at this shop no hesitation to help. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Had a leaky air bag that needed replacing.Dave was great getting the repair started on time even though the shop was full.Charged a reasonable price for the repair and da ys l ater air bag still holding air.Highly recomend.

Bryan who jumped our battery, then followed us towards their shop, then towed us, was exceptional. Ted, the service guy who replaced our alternator that Saturday, was equally exceptional. The gal on the phone, and the gal at the gas station register the next day we're friendly and exceptional too!

If I could give negative stars I would. I called multiple times trying to talk to the manager/owner. I m not sure what one it was but he was extremely rude, as well as the old man that works at the impound lot. I was trying to ask questions over the phone and in person, both times I was rudely interrupted and spoken over. I was trying to explain what I was concerned about and why. They were not interested in helping in any way. Before I started typing this review I read old ones that have gotten reply s from the owner stating they don t treat their customers poorly . From my experience, that statement is false. I do not recommend using this towing place as a first option.

Had a nail and metal in our Subaro tire which I was able to drive there. Beyond repair. Scott Peterson and Tyler were personal, professional, and patient with all my questions as we decided it was definitely time to replace tires anyway. Price was competitive. I trust them. Waiting was comfortable w/beverage and food choices plus places to walk if it had taken longer. Friendly staff. I was well taken care of and like supporting local businesses.Service: Tires

Let me start my review off by saying i have been going here for 8 years.Never did i question the work they did the entire time i was a client of theirs. Mark at the front always made the conversations personable and was all around just always positive and happy.However, recently I got a car fixed here for a transmission seal and of course a bunch of other issues came up. and by other issues i mean they said a part just broke on them while getting to it. Our original quote of around 150 quickly got to around 500 just in the time of them working on it. And honestly, not much of what they were saying made sense either. I started questioning things here but i just wrote it off and continued on. it was paid for and fixed. orrr so i thought. Fast forward to now about a week and a half later, that same seal is leaking again. We took it elsewhere this time and the new mechanic thinks that the seal they put on it was bad to begin with or they put the wrong one on it. Now im at 800$ for a transmission seal and a part Petersons said just broke.when I really started looking back at my 8 years here, I've almost always had to bring my vehicle back to get it re-fixed about 2 weeks after the fix. (general maintenance things excluded, they seem to be alright with these).I actually remember going elsewhere one time as well because 4 days later after paying 250 the same exact problem was happening again. I wrote it off as them missing the actual problem. The point of all of this is-it doesn't appear like they know much of what they are doing outside of general maintenance. Their timeliness on top of everything is almost none existent. i always wrote this off because they could get me in faster than everyone else. but i will never forget the time i just needed a tire patch and they said they could get it in right away and it was like a 10 to 15 min job and then i sat there for 2 hours waiting for it.I am sad as I've been going here for so long, but with mark no longer being at the front anymore and finally seeing the work for what it is-i can no longer continue to waste my money here. Id highly recommend people look elsewhere as well- there is a reason they are the only people in town who can get you in same day.I hate to be leaving this review but between my experiences and hearing so many similar stories- it needs to be said.

I went in for Tire repair and it turned out to only be a loose valve stem core! They put on a junk used after market valve stem cap and mine was brand new original equipment! The reason why I am bothering to leave this review now is: They keep texting me asking if my vehicle is ok fishing for me to come back! I asked them to stop the first time and they just keep texting me! So I called them and spoke with Scott on the phone and he's assured me that the problem will be resolved with the text messages! So I have updated my review to reflect this!

Had them repair my boat trailer axle which took them over two months to finish, without bleeding the brakes. The axle didn't even last one summer before bearings failed again destroying the new axle, wheel, tire, and fender. Not to mention the extra costs associated with having it towed again. Then refused to stand behind their work or even help with the cost of new axle components. Shoddy workmanship as far as I am concerned.

Scott & the Peterson's Automotive Team helped me in a pinch: they had my vehicle towed quickly, efficiently & cheap -then, got the serpentine belt I needed, installed & called ASAP and sent me on my way.My jaw dropped at how low the bill was Scott even personally texted me the next day to see if everything was great. We got a flat just outside of Manistee on our car which does not have a spare tire. They were very quick to get a flatbed out to pick us up and take us back to the station. They actually had a tire for the car,(odd size) and had it on the car and we were back on the road in no time. Great service and highly recommended.Service: TiresService: Tires

They were very prompt when they showed up to tow my truck when it broke down. Gentleman was very kind. When it came to looking at my truck, they were fairly priced for the inspection. The wait was a bit longer than we expected but still a good experience

Broke down on the side of the road with a flat tire on our daughter's camper. Called on a Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend to see if I could get 4 new tires for her camper.Martin call me back a few minutes later to let me know that he only had three tires but would gladly change them for us.When we arrived we found out that he had left his golf game to get us the tires!Cannot say enough about the kind and courteous people at this business.If I could give ten stars I would.

I live in Farmington Hills. I was driving to Cadillac to my sister s house, when my water pump broke on my BMW. I somehow managed to make it to Cadillac. My brother-in-law said he knew a great mechanic in town and he d take my car in to have it checked since my sisters and I were heading to Bay Harbor. The mechanic was out of town until the following Monday and still got it fixed much more quickly than the BMW dealerships in Traverse City or Grand Rapids could have. The car is running great and the cost was much more reasonable than the dealership could have ever been.Service: Engine repair

I ran over something on the way to work today. I made it to Peterson Service just as the air was completely gone from my tire. My tire was fixed in no time, and they changed the oil for me while I had it there ( I asked). They called me to let me know my car was ready and when I picked it up, not only was it done, but they washed it too!! What a great place! I always get my gas there because they still pump it for you! I highly recommend Peterson Service!Services: Tires, Oil change

Wow. On our way from Holland to Marquette for camping, and our waterpump blew in our van. Petersons towed to their shop where the mechanic graciously stayed 2.5 hours after operating hours on a SATURDAY to do the repair so we could be on our way. Went there becasue my engine splash shield was dragging and asked them to take it off, they said they would just cut the flap thats dragging off and fasten it.Charged me $45.They did not fasten it as I hear it hitting the bottom of the car everytime I'm driving, and the entire part is $50. So I feel a little bamboozled.

Dave has helped me twice . I m very picky on where my vehicles go . I tried them out and Dave has gone above and behind each time for more than one thing . I use more services now because of him . Great customer service. They make sure you understand the repairs and cost before doing the work. Had lots of work done on several different vehicles, never had a problem! Would recommend them.

Blew out my tire up the street. The service center I was using for my fleet vehicle was having a hard time finding a place that was open on a Saturday afternoon. Thankfully I was able to limp down the street, and these guys were able to take care of me right away.

Great Service!!! All the garage staff is excellent. Fixed my truck in a hurrry. To top it all off there waiting area is in the gas station. Had great snacks and awesome people in there too. Will go back for all my service needs.

Small but clean convenience store / gas station / mechanics store.I believe I even seen some food and I found machining a wide supply of soda and alcohol well beer. The staff was friendly and fast I would definitely go there again.

My clutch went out in the middle of nowhere and the person who was towing me worked there and got the best price in the area and got it done the quickest. Really friendly people and my clutch is still going
