I had my transmission rebuilt here on 11/11/23 for $1950 and the rebuild lasted almost 14 months 2769 miles.They blamed the transmission only lasting this short period of time on my having a radiator replacement? They say the radiator is smaller than the one that I had in the vehicle when they rebuilt the transmission?I did have the radiator replaced a few months ago with one that was the original size that came in the truck and I have no idea why that should cause a problem? I think it's just a excuse for faulty work.I'm going to have this radiator looked at by a dealership to verify that it is the correct one for this vehicle and I will be coming back to see you.Your warranty is perfect for you, not your customers. $1950 for 13 months great for you.Then you let your mechanic blow off your customers with some lame excuse.The radiator in the truck is the original size radiator for that truck. Your mechanic is a liar or is ignorant to the original equipment for that year vehicle.

Had my transmission rebuilt which took almost a total of 2 months with me bringing the truck back and them having to redo the torque converter twice and then for me to pick up and while the truck was in there possession and they drove it around there completely eat my break pads and told me it s a bad coincidence and that it s not there fault. I would pick any transmission shop in flint before going here. Save your self the trouble do not go here!

First time customer here with a huge repair. I want to say all nice things about this place because they were thorough and very kind but it took 4 months to get my vehicle back and communication from the shop wasn't always as promised. There were some bumps along the way with replacement parts and moving then closed down but at the end of the day, things seem to be working good. I'm less than a month into a 90 day warranty but so far I recommend the shop.

Worst customer service ever. My transmissions lasted 5 weeks then popped again. Spent $2,800 dollars. Now have to spend another 5k they pulled my leg for fives weeks . Losing money daily waiting on them. RUN FAR AND RUN FAST THEY WILL SUCK THE Life OUT OF YOU AND THEN ASK FOR MORE.Service: Transmission repairService: Transmission repair

Excellent service. Milex correctly diagnosed and fixed an issue that was previously misdiagnosed. They also arranged for the previous shop to cover all the costs of their misdiagnosis. It was a pleasure working with Garret.

I used to recommend these guys with full confidence, not so much anymore. I gaf to take my car back every year for 3 years in a row. The last time they didn't charge me but kept my car 2 months and cost me close to 10 grand in lost wages. Then the older gentleman at the counter had the audacity to tell me I was ungrateful for asking was my car done after a month. Do business with them at your own risk, I won't ever again.

We had an issue with our 2002 Buick park ave we took it to Milex. The cost was $1,200, 13 months later the trans started acting up we took it back they said it would be another 1,200. Now a year and a half later it has failed i have went to a different place that will give me a life time warranty for 1,800. So Unless you want to drop 1200 every year i would not recommend this place for Transmission work.Service: Transmission

I had my transmission rebuilt along with a few other repairs. They were able to diagnose and repair my issues correctly, the first time, which is rare these days. Professional, knowledgeable staff and quality work at a fair price. Highly recommended.

Amazing people working as hard as they can to solve whatever issue you have. Patience is key when it comes to this because we don t want the work on our vehicles to be rushed. I've taken several cars here for a transmission fluid/filter change the old school way and they always do an excellent job. I also had them rebuild a transmission once and again the work was excellent. They were willing to work with me and do a couple extra things I asked for with no hassle. I will be a long time return customer.

Awesome workers. Knowledgeable friendly and best of all good prices. My transmission coolant line was repaired and ready to picked up in a few short hours. This is my new car repair people for sure.

They fixed 2 transmissions for me in the past. For some dumb reason I went somewhere else to see the difference in quality of work and customer service and completely regret going anywhere else. These guys do it right the first time.

Mark and his team of guys are by far the BEST SHOP that I have been to in my 25 years of living in Flint, MI!!!! They fixed a problem that no one else could fix in 3 months and I wish I would of been came across his shop! And they have some outstanding customer service, I m going to have everyone I know come here and I would recommend anyone!

Awesome customer service and the best work around. Mark is one of the most genuine people I've ever met and he truly cares about his customers. Not to mention, he always has a clever joke to brighten up anyone's day. Thank you guys for your work! Definitely do not do business with this place. They will damage your vehicle am say it was already like that when you dropped it off. Took my car in to have work done. They busted my dashboard all up no need to even be by my dash mudd all down the side of my car when it clearly was nice an clean when dropping off. Then oil prints all over the inside head liner but claim they was never in my car at all. Then tried keeping my key fob. Try saying I never had one then oh what do you-know-what they came walking out with it. Never do business or at least don't leave it for the weekend. My guess someone had a good weekend in my car.

I have had alot of problems with my 2005 trailblazer. I had 5 code on it we stared replacing pieces that related to the codes . After replacing 2 parts we read the codes again same issues. I came across Mr Transmission in the yellow pages and called. Best thing i could of done. They worked on my car for 2 days and finally found the problem. My blazer was not comming out of third gear and my key was stuck in the ignition. Gary and his crew fixed the problem. And it barely cost me nothing. They didn't see $$$$ like most places. They did a great job and have earned my business. If you are having issues with a car give these guys a call they are the pros . Thanks Gary you and your crew did a awesome job...

I had called and scheduled an appointment for my truck to be picked up on a Friday between 9:30am-12:30pm and they were supposed to tow the truck into the shop and rebuild my transmission for $1650 or less which sounded like a great deal being that they were going to take it out of the truck rebuild give me a new tourque converter and new lines then put it back in and I would be on my way well it was too good to be true because when u got home from work at 7pm on Friday I noticed that the truck was still here so I asked my mom that was here to give the tow truck driver the keys and take care of that while I was at school and work. So she said they never came to pick up the truck and they never even called. I am pissed! I would never trust then again and will never take a car or truck there ever again because if they can't even remember to pick up the customers car how can they remember how to rebuild a transmission! I will never trust them again!

Their staff is by far the best in the business. Other places wanted to sell me a whole new transmission. These guys only replaced what had to be replaced, saving me an arm and a leg. You do have to allow them adequate time to diagnose your problems, so remember make arrangements for other modes if transportation.

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience was expensive and disappointing. First of all, I have a rebuilt title vehicle with only 20k miles. Heard noise from clearly the transmission. Decided on trusting Mr Transmission. Mark did hard sell telling me they repair most anything at three levels. Will take a look for $700. The rest is upselling to a rebuilt transmission from their warehouse . Will even show you "your" transmission. I apparently had three planetary gears gone bad. Tried upselling to rebuilt trans with 37000 miles to the tune of $3200. I looked on car-part and found grade A trans from police vehicle ($600) due to rear accident with 37000 miles . They agreed to install "for a price" and (understandably) no warranty. $900 later (plus the 600 for trans) and I have the exact same noise!!! . Come to find out they also purchased the core from the parts yard. Kudos to Mark who agreed to pay for eval at dealership after the "replacement." Dealership confirmed it was trans (and said three planetary gear failure is unheard of and shaking his head). I did think it incredible that a transmission shop needed the dealership to verify that a sound is coming from transmission. Mr. Transmission declined to replace it at this point saying they didn't want to deal with it any further. After they had my vehicle over two weeks! I took my warranty from parts yard to another general mechanic for 800 who truly replaced the trans in two days. Check them out, Fine Touch Auto Pontiac, MI. Sounds/works perfect now. And this trans has 10k more miles than first one. I called yard to see if they truly received the core from their first trans and the yard guy basically said they don't check that information and that the part had already been repurposed. I really wonder if I wasn't taken for a ride and trans was never removed. Make sure to check your serial number before taking your trans there and understand getting your vehicle in the air torn apart is no different than a ransom. Not saying they are shady, but a lot of questions left unanswered and then to not help in the final repair really spoke to character of the owner. Cannot return, my trust in them is tainted. Best of luck if u take the chance.

These people has had our car since the 18th. Told us it would be ready by end of week. Then friday came and they told us monday morning so we called at noon and theyre telling us tuesday morning. Somethings not right here.

I ve used Milex/Mr. Transmission s services for several years now and they re all great people. Great communication and friendly. They re an honest bunch who you can trust with your car and they ll only charge you a fair price.

Was told my car would be done three days after payed in full. When payed in full I was told it would be done in a week. Now three weeks later I am still waiting. I would not take my car there again. I keep getting told something different everytime I talk to them.

I've had my vehicles serviced here quite a few times and I love both the service and the prices. The staff are very knowledgable and can explain to me exactly what needs to be done. I would recommend it to my friends!

I came in with an unknown problem (caused by another shop) and Mr. Transmission diagnosed it for free! They were quick despite how busy they were and now my car is driving really well. Thank you, no wonder you re the number one shop in Flint.

Car is leaking oil. Was not doing that before. Transmission still slipping. Engine light has come on twice. NEVER had oil leaks or engine problems before. I have taken car back twice!

Really nice place mark is friendly and they let you know what wrong with your vehicle before they charge you anything they worked with me to get the money cause the state didn t help me it took me a little longer to get the 1,450 but if you need a shop for your vehicle i highly recommend milex mr transmission
