Left message, Evon called me back and set up a drop off appointment for the following week. Justin was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about motorhomes. My wife and I felt good when we left it for service. Our problem turned out to be minor and was fixed the same day. I will go back for future service when needed.Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

I CALLED TO MAKE SURE THEY SCRAPPED AND RESEALED RUBBER ROOFS ON MOTORHOMES, THEY TOLD ME THEY DID AND THAT IT WAS A 3 STEP PROCESS. I MADE THE APPT WITH THEM DROPPED OFF THE MOTORHOME AND ASKED THEM TO ALSO PUT SOME NEW VENTAIRES ON.THEY SAID THEY COULD GET IT DONE FOR ME. 2 DAYS LATER I GET A CALL THAT IT IS READY FOR PICK UP, I PAID THEM AND ASKED THEM TO LOCK THE UNIT AND HIDE THE KEYS I WOULD PICK UP AFTER WORK. I WENT TO PICK IT UP AND THE ROOF WAS NOT DONE THE CAULKING WAS HORRENDOUS AND NOT ALL THE VENTS WERE CAULKED.WE LEFT THE UNIT FOR THE NIGHT AND CALLED THE NEXT MORNING, THEY TOLD US 1ST THEY DID THE ROOF, THEN THEY TOLD US THEY DONT DO ROOFS. EVEN THOUGH MY RECEIPT SAYS THEY DID IT . I WILL POST PICS OF THE ROOF AND RECIEPT. THEY WERE VERY UNPROFFESIONAL AND THE LADY AT THE FRONT COUNTER TRIED TO PASS THE BLAME TO ANOTHER LADY. SO NOW NOT ONLY DO I NOT HAVE MY ROOF SEALED OR SOME OF MY VENTS BUT THE JOB THEY DID CAULKING LOOKS LIKE A CHILD DID IT. EXTREMELY UNHAPPYService: Body & Trim

Beware of that Dave Guy and this place!! Took our country Star motorhome in for shocks front and rear and serpentine belt replacement on Tuesday and didn't get it back until Friday! I made the appointment two weeks in advance. Went to pick it up and got the shock of my life! They charged me $11,00.00 Dollars for just labor!! That Dave guy said it took them 4hours for the shocks alone. That is unreal to remove 8 bolts 2 on each shock and install the new shocks. The heavy truck mechanic told me that was twice the time it should have taken! All said they charged me double of what a heavy truck shop would have charged me!! Be sure to get a written estimate if you go there! I wish I would have!

I went to American RV because of an accident with my camper. They had the fastest appointment time I could find which was great. The repairs did not end up being done because of the severity of the damage, but American RV worked with my insurance and made the process they were involved in painless. They were very helpful and I highly recommend them.

Travelling from out of country. These fine folks fixed a broken propane line in a older travel trailer at a very reasonable price and had us back on the road in no time. Many thanks!

This place is very helpful. Had the fuse we needed. I have called before to get help with a different thing and they were very helpful at that time. Would recommend American RV for help and parts. Haven't used the repair but if they are as helpful as they were just talking to them on the phone, then if we need repairs we will bring it in. Thank you

These guys will take great care of you and your equipment! I have brought them two of my campers. The first one I brought in to see about repairing a broken slide I showed up and my battery for the electric jack was dead they jumped into action to help me no judgement or questions ask just providing solutions. After the free diagnostic I chose not to have the camper repaired due to age and cost. The second camper I brought to them when I was unable to get the brakes working. On short notice they helped me diagnose the problem (truck wouldn t communicate with the camper but would communicate with other trucks- my truck would communicate w other trailers) My trucks itbc wouldn t read the camper due to low current coming from the brakes. They fixed some wires that were aged and cracked and needed new connections repacked the bearings! Everyone I dealt with was very nice and interested in helping. I bought the shop pizza for their extra troubles just took the camper through the mountains of PA brakes work great Services: Tires, Electrical, Brakes

Very competent. They got my coach back on the road quickly and it cost less than I expected. We will certainly use them again, even for routine work.

Bought an older RV and had them look over everything and do some minor fixes. They have great communication and it was finished when they said. The price was very reasonable. Will definitely have my business again.

Called about pricing for oil change, transmission fluid change, generator service. Estimated costs were provided dependent on the number of filters. Called to give them filter numbers prior to arrival, but still didn't have the filters when we arrived. Cost was WAY over what we had been quoted. Completely gouge you on price of oil and transmission fluid. Can purchase the oil for MUCH MUCH less! Over $1,000 for oil change and transmission fluid change. Didn't even change one filter that was is required for oil change. Also, picked up a supply in the store - was overcharged for what was marked on it. Won't be going back.

I had looked around for an RV repair company that could help be renovate my vintage motor home. There was a LOT of work to do and I ending up spending many, many THOUSANDS of dollars at American since I felt I could trust them. They seemed like nice people and the few reviews I found online seemed positive. Overall, my camper had been parked in the woods for about 15 years before I got it. I needed them to go over it from front to back to ensure everything was clean, sound, and working correctly before I took it out since I was planning on boondocking where I might not be able to get help if something went wrong. I pretty much gave them free reign to do what needed to be done to ensure there would be no breakdowns, failures, or fires. My experience in the end was anything but positive. I am in the position now of having to redo most everything they did for me. I will give several of the more costly examples of things that have gone wrong after I picked up my RV and attempted to actually use it. Keep in mind, this place charges about $100 per hour so money quickly adds up. And, they charge for everything they touch, look at, etc. There are no gimmes with them. These are all things I paid to have done, and these are only several examples.1. I asked that they check out the AC and made sure it was ready to go. It needed a complete inspection and system check after sitting uncovered in the woods for so long. They charged me to do this. However, when I turned it on for the first time, after it ran for 5 minutes or so, you could see it smoking and smell something burning. Someone got up on top of the camper to take off the top and check it out. We discovered the unit will filled with dry leaves, pine needles, moss, and a few saplings growing in there. The unit on the inside had not been cleaned either. Ultimately, turning this on and running it burnt out the motor, did damage, and not I need a new AC.2. The on-board onan generator wasn't working so I had them take it out. I filled the camper with gas one evening hoping to go camping in the AM. However, when I went out in the morning, there was gasoline running down my driveway and down the street. I had to take it to someplace that could look at the gas tank since I couldn't tell where the fuel was leaking from. Ultimately, it was coming from the cut line of the generator. American never clamped off the fuel line.3. I wanted the canopy opened, set up, and checked out to see if needed any repair or if I needed a new one. Also, I was going to have the RV painted and I needed to know the color of the awning. They checked it out, said it all was fine and the color was plain gray. So I had the RV painted and when I was finally able to use the canopy, I learn all the knobs are broken off, and the canopy is actually brown and beige striped. You could tell they had never even opened it since it still had debris in it from the woods. Now I need to get a new canopy to match the paint job.4. I paid them to do a complete detailed cleaning of the interior. It looked okay on the surface, but when I got the camper back and started to get it packed up, it was clear they didn't clean one drawer, closet, shelf, cubby, etc. They only touched the outward facing features and nothing past that.5. I had them do a totally new exhaust system from front to rear. Only after taking my RV in to repair something else they messed up did I learn the exhaust system is 4-5 feet to short and isn't up to code.6. They rebuilt the carburetor. When we picked up the RV it wouldn't even start. But their mechanic comes out, make an adjustment, and it starts so we took it home. On the way home, we smelled burning from under the motor cover inside the cab. We got it home and had a mobile truck service come out to see what was going on. When they removed the engine cover, and revved the engine, flames shot up 2 feet in the air. They said the carburetor work was shoddy at best and dangerous. We had to have it redone. To date, I've spent $2000.00 redoing their work not including a new AC or canopy.

Took my rv to American to fix a misfiring engine. I was told it was bad spark plugs. Plugs were replaced at a cost of over $800. Went to pick up rv and before i left the parkjng lot i could tell the misfire was still there. I called when i got the rv home and was told it was road tested .No way that was done..i was leaving on a trip the folllowing morning so no time to take it back. My neighbor brought over his engine analyzer hooked it up and found a bad coil pack..A trip to Autozone, $34 and a half hour later rv runs perfect. I called American and explained what had taken place to their service manager and was told "we'll do something for you"..that was months ago and haven't heard a word..Customer service/satisfaction is NOT a priority to this place..NEVER going back and wouldn't recommend them..
