Good deli with fried chicken and pizza. A couple of tables available to sit at even. It s the holy trinity of Northwoods stores being a grocery store, a gas station and a sporting goods section. The main reason it s not rated higher is because the bathroom condition is hit or miss.

They have the best Sporting Goods department around! A little bit of everything, fishing, hunting, camping, ORV, and even ammo. If you show up at the right time of year, you might even see a bear as they do bear, deer, and fur bearer registration. If they don't have it, you don't need it.

They have very good fried chicken in the deli. I called ahead to find out how late I could get a bucket of chicken. I was told if I called by 6:30 ET it wouldn't be a problem. I headed out and called at 6:20 asking to have a bucket dropped. I was told that the fryers were already off.I just wish they could get their story straight as I live 30 miles away.

Would never do business here. I'm from out of state and called before hand to get some info on some sporting goods item before our trip up there. The lady was totally rude. All I wanted was to get a price on an item and she refused because the guy who works sporting goods was off for the weekend. I said all I need is someone to walk to the item and tell me the price. She said "sure we can definitely do that for you...on Monday"

Personification of a small town grocery store. Friendly staff, they've got everything, and it's a great location for those driving through. Good prices on fuel as well.

Moved to the area and been shopping there for months now. Some of the staff hasn't been very friendly and they just stare at you. They Give you the feeling that your not welcome as a visitor. I've Been followed through the store although I've never stolen anything which might be your stereotypical judgmental people. Prices are a Bit high but everything else to shop are pretty much an hour away.

Don't bother showing up there at 11:00 at night when they close at midnight no coffee for weary travelers have to prepay in store even though I'm standing in the store waiting for my husband to fuel our car. Have to put an amount on the pump and then you have to hopefully they put it back on your credit card .your car did not take. So far this trip through the upper peninsula was a stinking nightmare. Sad thing is I live in Michigan!

Crazy prices. Can t keep the hot food stocked. Does not keep half the products they should. Constantly dirty bathrooms. Several workers with attitude issues.

Watch what you buy here!I have bought shredded cheese that when opened was full of mold. Sour milk, aisles are constantly being moved so you never know which part of an aisle you will find stuff. Much of the produce looks wrinkly and on the verge of spoilage. I've been there and items in the sale ad we're not in stock.A few of the stockers and cashier's have given me the feeling that I am inconveniancy. I go here when I absolutely have to. Not impressed.

A very clean well-organized store,And they stock all most anything you may need from gas to food,Reminds me of many of the Little family-owned stores down south.a home town store with a touch of class,

Settler's is the proverbial general store. When I stopped there last week, I needed makings for a dinner to celebrate the birthday of a very special relative. I purchased a beef roast, eggs and butter...among other things. Everything I purchased was fresh...the roast was moist and tender. I bought a cake that was like no other; the 85-year-old birthday boy raved about it 'til it was gone. It wasn't dry and crumbly like so many bakery cakes are...l know I'll be buying another the next time I'm in Bruce Crossing MI.

Been coming up to the U.P. to vacation for years. Our spot is 30 miles from decent grocery shopping, Settlers to the east and Ironwood to the west. Good selection of food and right on M-28.

Great place for pet supplies and feed over at the feed store. Vicki is always extremely helpful, even locating cockatiel feed & supplies... not the sort of pet folks generally keep in this area. They have a great selection of annuals & perennials in the spring, live, fresh-cut locally Christmas trees during the holidays, and they carry Fromm's brand of dog foods (recommended by our vet). I'll occasionally shop at the Co-op's grocery store & gas station up across the highway... sometimes getting terrific deals on locally produced items like maple syrup and honey. I've read the other customer reviews, and I have to say I've never come across the situation described by "Rev Robert Johnson"... never heard "Christian music" played "throughout the store"... never even seen any "medical marijuana growers" in any way involved with the store, and never gotten into any sort of disagreement with co-op personnel... they've always been courteous, friendly and helpful.

Nice outback store. In this area there is only one small grocery store. No restaurants. This gas station has. Hot food from pizza to party's and more. Great food in a back woods area.

Propane - I gave a 4 star because the drivers are really nice and helpful and service is good. The guy I talk with on the phone is rude and not helpful, not good for a front end person. It would be a 5 star+ except for that..

I work at Settlers, it's a great place for visitors. We have fuel, and a grocery store. We have a deli and a friendly staff. We have fishing and hunting gear and we sell license's for all hunting, fishing and trails.

Great place to stop but it seems like they downsized their sports section too much. However their Deli and bakery are fantastic.

Co-op does a good job of bringing a variety of perishables. They are full service for our community, from a deli and bakery to propane delivery and fishing/hunting license.

Good supply of gas station junk food, but the coffee was stale and more expensive than usual. Beware of the French Roast. Bathroom was filthy. Needs updates.
