Serra Honda is awesome - they made my new car purchase painless and stress-free. I highly recommend this dealership for professionalism, product knowledge, and unfailing customer support. I hadn t bought a car in nearly 20 years, but my sales rep, Mr. Pierre Farah, understood both product and process, and explained these aspects in great detail. Mr. Tyler Weed ran multiple pricing scenarios to help me in my decision, and Mr. Brandon Kanye assisted me with a computer loan application, plus chauffeured me from home to the dealership to take possession of my new vehicle - through rush hour traffic. Ms. Judy Sprader, Sales Manager, personally contacted me and marshaled her team to get all processing completed to expedite the sale, and allow me drive off on the Honda Accord of my dreams. The experience and purchase could not have gone better - no pressure, just support. Thank you, Serra Honda of Brighton, MI.

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. No pressure, reasonable people and a pleasure to work with. Brendan Freeman is an outstanding salesman and made everything easy and was tremendously accomodating. Tyler was also a pleasure, i will buy from them again even though I have a different Honda dealer closer to me.

Rob Gould is stellar. He was fast and reliable, making sure that we understood everything that was being done to the car when we had to bring it in for some service recently.However, Brendan Freeman, the person who sold us our new car we bought here was rather deficient. He clearly wasn't interested in doing his job and did not listen to a lot of what we were saying when we were buying our car here. For example, we told him many times that we were not trading in the car we had brought and said that we needed a license plate for the other car as we were transferring car license plates to the new car we bought here. He claimed that we did not need a temporary plate for our other car even though state law dictates this. To add insult to injury, he did not order the new license plate for the other car we were transferring license plates from. We decided to be patient, but after waiting three weeks and the license plate not arriving at our house, we called the dealership. It turns out that Brendan had never registered a new license plate for us and claimed there was a misunderstanding even though we paid for this and has still not gotten back to us.

Everything a dealership should not be. Arrogant and uneducated, like "my daddy owns the place" attitude. Misrepresenting services completed, and what services that were described as completed were not. The Purchasing experience I had directed me to not do business with ANY dealerships anymore. I only buy from private owners now. And I don't use dealerships for service anymore either. There are a lot of private owned repair facilities that ARE in the business of customer care. Not a pleasant experience and i am not returning.

Fantastic! Brendan was able to fulfill every aspect of our discussions and made the entire purchase of my wife's new carSUPER easy. (I especially dislike the car buying process as I am 55 and been through TOO MANY bad experiences having owned dozens of cars in my lifetime - - but not this time - everyone at Serra made it an easy and TRUSTING process - highly recommend them!)

Update, Jason asked me to reach out in order to make thing s right. It was an unproductive conversation that resulted in trying to invalidate my experience, not addressing my issues or finding a solution. He told me not to mention the Google review to him and was defensive.He did not attempt to find a solution, contrary to his initial response to this review. My review still stands, and has re-affirmed my awful experience with this dealership.Buyer beware.When initially talking with Pierre over the phone, I explained my experience at another Honda dealership. He promised to take care of me. I didn t get the vehicle I wanted, even though he said we would look at the higher trim style that I had inquired about. I was told since I had already been approved by Honda I wouldn t have another credit inquiry. But my credit was indeed run again. I was told what my payments would be for the vehicle I chose. He told me he would give me the Honda discount as well. Upon arriving, we spoke further about the discount. He kept telling me not to worry about it as he would make sure I got the appropriate discounts. At the dealership, my payments went up. I was also trading in a vehicle. He promised an additional $1,000 off what I would pay to them for my trade, if my daughter also leased a vehicle there. I told him I d have to speak with her before making that decision. Took possession of my new car on Friday. Spoke with him later in the day telling him I would take the trade in deal, then he doubled the price of what I would pay. I asked why the price changed and he said it s because he didn t know the pay-off. He then told me I had until Monday to make a decision on my trade. Over the weekend I looked over my paperwork and discovered price discrepancies. On Monday I went to the dealership and inquired. He was very rude and condescending, so I went to the finance manager to speak with her. I explained everything. I was told that the price sent to the state of Michigan (lower amount almost $2,000 less) vs what my contract stated, there was nothing they could do. They couldn t change the contract to reflect the price I was supposed to get the car for. I was refused the Honda discount, and the additional $1,000 off my trade as promised. I was given an additional few hundred dollars off my trade, but they refused an even wash, to compensate for what I was promised. I was low balled with my trade to begin with. I was told they would give my daughter a good deal based on my experience with the whole process with my car. She ultimately chose a Mazda, from their partner dealership next door. They told us they couldn t get her a good deal unless she chose a Honda. So, she settled for Honda. She did receive discount for Honda loyalty since I had just leased one. But they refused the online price for an additional $2,035 off price saying it s because she didn t have a down payment. That is not listed on their website. Looking at the paperwork, I noticed add-on packages and asked about them. They automatically add those and do not tell you but charge almost $1,000. They promised to give those for free. When the paperwork came, she was charged their cost , rather than no charge. I also found out I was charged these fees for my car at that time. I was not told about this initially. These are packages that can only be utilized at their dealership. Which makes no sense living almost an hour away. She wanted to apply for a cheaper Honda, but was told she may not get approved even though we were already approved. So, she was backed into a corner. They wouldn t budge on the car payment. She asked for $400 a month max, the payment was $439, and they wouldn t adjust the cost of the vehicle to meet our needs. Overall, I feel they were dishonest and did not take care of us as they promised.

Excellent!!!Rob explains all repair options to you discussing pros / cons to help the customer make a decision. There is a dealership closer to my home but I travel 10 minutes further on purpose because I know Rob is there. Rob is top notch.

I purchased a new pilot from Serra last month, coming from an hour away because we had purchased here before, and that was the third car we had bought at Serra in the last 5 years. Joe was sweet and helpful.We returned yesterday and test drove a used Maza CX 5 for my daughter's 16th birthday. Joe was out so we worked with Sam, and my husband was texting with Francisco their finance guy as well. We decided we wanted the car, and told Sam we wanted it and since they were closed and everyone was gone, to talk to Francisco and call us in the morning with final cost numbers and it would be a cash purchase. I even offered to make a deposit in the morning. After talking to Sam in the morning, my husband messaged back and forth with Francisco all day, getting the final number and then asked for the price on the service plan, which Francisco said he'd let him know shortly. Two hours later my husband got a text from him saying the car sold. My husband asked if he was serious and the response was yep, someone came in and BAM, it sold.We were in the middle of the deal, my daughter's birthday is tomorrow so we were trying to get it done tonight/tomorrow. I had already moved cash and called for insurance on the car. No explanation, no call from Sam or anyone. No apology or concern. I've called and asked for Sam with no call back, and then called again to ask for someone else and was sent to voicemail of Judy, a manager, with no return call. I'm honestly shocked and angry at the lack of professionalism displayed from a dealership I have given a lot of business to and referred others to. Crazy how great the service was when we were purchasing a $50k brand new Pilot last month, but not so great when purchasing an $11k used car. Loyalty means nothing to this place.

We purchased our 2015 Fit here brand new and have driven it less than 24k miles since then. Recently, the car would turn on but not turn over and start. They told us to have it towed in. They claimed my battery needed to be replaced. When I came to pick up it still wouldn't start. They then said their (new) battery needed to be charged. Still no start. Now they decided it needed a new starter. Because the gas gauge was apparently faulty they replaced they instrument cluster. More than $2500 a week later I got my car back. Something not adding up here.I would like to thank Jason and Rich at Serra for following up with our concern and making us feel better about what transpired. They listened and responded appropriately. upgrading our review to 5 stars. Thanks again!

Don't get maintenance done here. First 2 years/24k miles on my Ridgeline was supposed to get free oil changes and tire rotation. My first maintenance service was free. included free oil change, they added oil additive and fuel additive as well as the tire rotation no cost out the door. Today I was in for 2nd service, was told oil and rotation would be covered like last time but additives and other required services are not. I brought up the additives were covered last time and he said oh yeah I'll get a credit for those and you won't get charged..OK fine. Well after my b16 service they charged me for said additives AND labor for the oil change in addition to required services. The labor for the oil change and additives should have been free but I was charged. I agree that I owe for all labor and parts unrelated to the engine oil change but why am I now being charged for things that were free first maintenance service? Other then that everyone is decently nice and got the job done quickly.

I have been having my Honda Element serviced at Serra Brighton Honda since I purchased it from them in 2003 !!I have on occasion gotten quotes from other service providers but always come back to Brighton Honda and my AMAZING service person ROB GOULD and get superior service ! Not only has Rob kept my Element on the road safely for 20 years - but they care about their customers and go the extra mile always ! Plus Rob and the entire service department love my dog

Bought a 2016 Honda at lease end for my daughter from this location - sales was fine at the time (nothing spectacular), but service department lackluster throughout - specifically in how poorly they handled an issue with her AC system. Fast forward to 2023 - checked out a used truck with a few hits on Carfax (cosmetic work), and the salesperson allowed me to test drive a vehicle that was not only filthy, but WREAKED of a wet dog. I got past the smell and presentation as I wanted to want the truck, but just too much to get past. Kind follow up by one of the managers, but ultimately passed as they refused to budge at all on their advertised price. Biggest issue is their service department which is -1 star - sales department is average, but if you're looking for a cheap NEW vehicle you shouldn't experience the problems I did on a used-car hunt.

My sales rep was Morgan Sprader and she was super professional, organized and communicated with me in a timely manner. This dealership is very honest. No hidden fees or market premiums unlike other Honda dealers in the state. Picked up my new car yesterday and it was a super simple and straightforward process! Extremely happy I chose to work with Serra Honda!

I found Serra Honda Brighton while searching for a used Honda Odyssey. They had a reasonably priced model available, which I ended up purchasing. Although I am quite satisfied with my purchase, I was disappointed with some details that were not disclosed, despite the vehicle being certified pre-owned:- The TPMS light flashed within 24 hours of purchase, requiring sensor replacement for all 4 tires- A seatbelt buckle was physically missing from one of the rear passenger seats. While I accept that I should have observed this in the initial walkthrough/test drive, I do feel this is a safety issue that should have been disclosed. I reached out to the dealership, was told they'd get back to me the following Monday, and I never got a reply. In the end, I purchased the part from another Honda dealer.All in all, staff were friendly, and I'm happy with the vehicle. But would definitely recommend potential buyers perform an extremely thorough review of used vehicles before purchase.Edit: Dealership followed up to cover all repairs at no charge.
