I drove from Ludington. Ended up running late. Got the perfect hitch. They were quick and efficient. And the best price I ve found.Definitely worth the drive. I ll be coming back for sure.

Sorry Insta-Hitch but customer safety in towing should be your foremost concern, not easy installation and maximizing profits!MY RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE TO AVOID HAVING A HITCH INSTALLED HERE!I recently had a 5th week bracket and universal rails installed in my brand new pick-up truck.They did not follow the Curt installation instructions on a couple of ke points.1) They installed the carriage bolts that hold the universal rails to the frame brackets upside down. When asked about this, Steve said it was just easier for them to install that way. Unfortunately the carriage bolts have the square nut under their head which uses the rails to keep the carriage bolt form turning when the nut is torqued. Turns out they don't properly torque the joint, see topic 2.2) They did not torque the attaching bolts properly. The Curt installation guide requires 110 ft-lb per bolt. The guys at Insta-Hitch told me they use an impact wrench. Just so you know, these do not have a designed torque, you need a torque wrench for measuring toque. When I got home, I checked the torque, they were less then 1/2 of the Curt Manufacturing Spec. I called Steve and he told me they don't need or own a torque wrench. If I wanted correct torque, I would need to bring them my torque wrench. By the way they sell these for $20.Not properly torquing bolts that pull a 12,000 lb trailer is a big safety concern! I came home and redid the fasteners and torqued them myself. After arguing with Steve, I just don't trust they would do this the correct way, nor do I want to drive back out to Brighton just to argue with him.I also have heartburn that Insta-Hitch charged me three hours labor for a job that took them an hour. Don't charge me the full amount if you are going to take shortcuts. They also quoted electrical connector installation and when I got there they raised the price on that also.So if you are having a hitch installed anywhere, make sure they follow the manufacturers installation instructions and make sure you check their work against those instructions. Curt hires engineers and publishes installation instructions for a reason!

Impressively fast service for the installation of my fifth wheel hitch! They were able to place the order Friday for the parts needed and do the work Monday so we could pick up our camper!! This was the cheapest price in the area when looking into fifth wheel hitch installation!!! Thanks for the great service!

Brought in van to get hitch and wiring installed. Called to question why the hitch wiring was installed internally and left to hang internally as opposed to neatly mounted externally. Owner said this is preferred way to install wiring on the Pacifica, and that they make the judgement on where to place it with each vehicle. So be advised.

I bought a Western Salter and HTS Plow for my Silverado from InstaHitch in 2020. Installation was excellent, and I've had 2 years of great use with the product. I had a small problem this winter with my truck not working with my plow and salter when I put it back on. I took it in for service this morning with Instahitch, and they quickly diagnosed my issue. My mechanic at another shop disconnected a fuse from the previous install of the snow plow. The crew at Instahitch treated me fairly and gave me a good price to fix the small issue I had and got me back out the door quickly. I appreciate their professionalism, and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to have a job done right the first time, and also stand behind their work in the future too. I am very pleased. Thank you again.

I was hesitant after reading some reviews but I'm so glad we took a chance. These guys are awesome. The owner knows his stuff and does great work. Clean welds, everything is secure. Couldn't be happier. Definitely will return!!

My vehicle had dodgy bolts. But the care the people took, they didn t break. They worked quickly and explained the process to me. Very polite and great price point. Worth the drive.

Terrific service from knowledgeable experts. Their prices have always been very competitive for my 3 hitch installs. Plus, in and out in 20 minutes and on time for basic receiver and on schedule for more complicated work.

Awesome Customer Service, Pricing, and Knowledge. We had them install a tow base plate, wire harness, and break system on our 2018 Chevy Sonic. They knew what needed to be done and completed the job early. We highly recommend this company.

Justin is great! We leased a new vehicle and this place was recommended by the dealership. I called, they got the part in and were able to install the next day! They came to my office building, picked up (right down the street from their shop) and had it back to me in less than an hour! Definitely recommend!

Couldn t be happier with my experience at the shop. Had them install a new hitch on my 02 Chevy work van, and they got it done in no time. They also took the time to investigate a wiring issue I was having with my rear lights, and ultimately got that narrowed down to the culprit. Good group of guys. Will return and will refer to others.

These guys are fast and good at what they do I called and got my plow and a leveling kit installed in 5 hrs. When no one else had time to they did also they stayed longer so I could pick my truck up after hours I would highly recommend them to anyone they are also very professional which for me is hard to find, great job guys I will be back.

I use to use another local place that did all kinds of automotive stuff. Every time they had to order the hitch, which delays a day or so. These guys are always fast, easy to work with, and do great work. I only use quality when I add anything aftermarket with my customers vehicles and I will recommend these guys any day.

The guys at InstaHitch did a great job installing a 1.25 hitch for a bike rack on my 2014 Tesla Model S. The entire experience was very professional.I wanted to install a hidden hitch called an Ecohitch from Torklift. My regular auto shop didn t want to work on my Tesla. So, I checked around the metro Detroit area for well-rated shops to install the hitch. InstaHitch was very highly rated, so I contacted them. It was very easy working with to Steve to setup the appointment, and he was confident they could install the hitch.I emailed the installation instructions ahead of time. I was very impressed when I arrived today that the technicians had studied the instructions and knew exactly what to do. Their shop is set up so that I could easily see the progress of the installation while I waited. It was clear that they knew what they were doing and took great care in their work.I was very pleased with the experience. If you have a Tesla or other luxury vehicle, you can be confident they will treat your vehicle with the care you expect.

Great experience getting a 3 lift on my Jeep Wrangler. Justin was extremely helpful through the whole process. He had my lift ordered the same day I called. Their usual supplier wasn t able to ship the lift timely due to COVID so he went out of his way to order it elsewhere to get it here within a week. Only took them a couple hours to install & it looks great! Pricing was better than anywhere else I called, too. All of the staff were friendly & knowledgeable. Highly recommend Instahitch to anyone looking! Will be back in the future.

I had a factory GM hitch removed from my equinox and a different one put on that was designed for larger loads, the work was done well no complaints there. When I got home 20 miles away I noticed that the old hitch was not put in my trunk, drove back 20 miles ask for my old hitch and the man who installed it got it from behind the shop dropped in on the ground and walked away, didn t bother to put it in the trunk. Very heavy by the way. Won t recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered specialized bolt kit for my trailer hitch. Paid for them in advance as required. Steve the owner called and said they had come in. I had an employee go to pick them up and Steve the owner said "I sold them to someone else that needed them". I called him and asked what happened and told him "why didn't you order them again or call me and let me know at least" he said he would have them that day or by the next day. I sent my employee there again 3 days later and he said he couldn't find them. Now i paid my employee for the time spent to deal with this 3 hours and still don't have the parts or my trailer fixed. NOTE: My employee told me on both occasions that he was treated him very rudely and insulted him and made to feel somehow it was his problem. I also was treated unprofessionally and impatiently when speaking to him on the phone.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GO THERE! This type of terrible service and treatment will only give you problems not resolve them for you.

Wow- Great service! I purchased my Meyer p[ow there a couple years back, and with this weeks big snow storm, it stopped working. So I figured it would take them a couple of days to git it fixed. I bring it down there and a tech looks at it WHILE I WAIT and fixes it in an hour. Tech was knowledgeable and friendly. Very reasonable price. Would not get a plow anywhere else.

Same day service. They installed a hitch, ebreak controller, 4 and 7 pin wiring plug. It looks great paid over the phone and picked up van after hours.

I see lots of great reviews, but certainly not my experience. I'd give it 0 if I could. I stopped in to get an estimate of a hitch for my 19 Volt....needed 200 lb tongue weight to haul (2) ebikes. Was quoted $ 289 plus tax by mgr Steve which was reasonable. The day before my appt I called Steve to make sure it was there and was the correct hitch. Was told yes and yes . When I arrived for my install appt today I checked and was told by him capacity was only 100 lb tongue weight and that it would work fine. Told him that won't work as it needed to carry 150 lb load. He looked up correct model again and told me best he would do was $339 to be installed next week. I had taken a half day vac to make this happen and would have expected him to offer to do it for his original price quote. Which I would have settled for. Showed him quote from UHaul for $269 out the door so will take my business there. And won't return.

Had BlueOx baseplates installed along with wiring for brakes and lights on my 2020 Silverado. When I spoke with the gentleman on the phone, he assured me they have done this kind of work before and they know what they are doing...Wrong! FIRST-they installed the baseplates crooked, causing tension on the bumper. I called and they took care of it right away (that's why two stars and not just one). I thanked them and was on my way. SECOND-I noticed they just left all the wires they installed hanging below the truck, so I had to go underneath and finish their job for them. THIRD-That weekend, I decided to pull the truck behind my RV, so I hooked everything up and was on my way. I was on the road for about 60 miles when someone stoped me and said my turn signals on the truck were crossed, so I had to spend the rest of the trip without using turn signals. When I got to my destination, I had to go to the local auto parts store to get parts needed to correct their sloppy work. FOURTH-When I got home that weekend and unplugged the brake from the outlet they just installed, I noticed they broke the clips that attach the plastic moulding. Again, had to go to the dealer to get new clips. I feel like I spent a lot of money and expected to get what I paid for. I would advise anyone with a new vehicle not to go there, they just don't seem to have the skill to deal with newer vehicles. Maybe if you have an old vehicle for a simple hitch install but they obviously don't pay attention to detail! UPDATE: 10 months later still dealing with problems. The wiring they installed is all corroded because they didn't use the proper connections. Had to take it to the dealer to fix all their sloppy work. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! All the positive reviews must be fake!
