Really appreciate the fast, professional, work A Plus Transmission did. Replaced/Updated valve body assembly on my F250 transmission, which is a healthy size operation, and had it back to me in 8 days. Absolutely amazing. In addition I know I had a broken off bolt (From Me) holding on Trans Pan which they fixed without me even asking. I wish I could give them more than a 5 star rating because they deserve it. If I ever need more transmission work done, its a no brainer, this is the place to go.Thanks Again

I do not think I that I have better service on my 1976 Cadillac. I was kept in the loop on what was going on almost daily.The pricing of was well below what I thought it would be about and half of what I would have been charged elsewhere in Brighton.Best of all the Caddy runs the best in the last 10 years.Great job.

Thank you to Alex and everyone that worked on my 2013 4 Runner. Had to replace the transmission, original had over 230,000 miles. Not many companies will work on a vehicle with this many miles. Car is running great and I cannot thank them enough and recommend them highly.

What an amazing experience again. I just picked up my 1972 Cutlass Supreme and couldn t be happier! This is either the 11th or 12th transmission they have done for me. Just this year they have also rebuilt the C6 in a 77 F150 2WD and the transmission and transfer case in my 78 Bronco 4X4. I really appreciate them taking care of my classics, but they ve also done the transmissions in my late model Ranger 4x4, Cadillac STS4, Charger RT AWD and more. They have also done brakes, air conditioning, etc. for us.No one wants the expense of a car repair but when I pay for my repair, I feel I ve gotten great value and it always comes with amazing customer service. Did I mention that I go out of my way to use them? I live at least 45 minutes away and when I ve been stranded, I ve had vehicles towed long distances just so I d have the piece of mind that comes from doing business with someone I trust.Good luck with your repair. Tell them Brian sent you. Alex and Craig are the straight shooters you want when you have car challenges. Just took my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer to them with a really loud front wheel bearing. It was an amazing repair that changed the driving experience for the better. Quiet, smooth and driving like a new car (instead of the 154K miles it has on it). Nice job and thanks for your professionalism and integrity.

Great service and communication. Would recommend all auto repairs to A Plus Transmission & Auto Repair. Repair was completed as agreed. Great place to take your vehicle for all your service needs. Friendly and HONEST! It's rare to find an auto shop that doesn't try to sell you on unnecessary repairs or maintenance(Like most dealerships) I've always had a great experience. There's no need to go anywhere else.

Big shout out to Alex and his team at A Plus! Myself and parents have been taking cars and trucks to him for years. Always fair and honest pricing with excellent workmanship, would never take my vehicles anywhere else! Last time I was there Alex was able to fit me in to fix some unexpected repairs that came up to help us out so we didn't miss a trip that was planned. Unbelievable Customer Care!A little story to share: these guys replaced a power steering pump in 2022 and rebuilt my transmission on my 2004 Express Van last year 2023. I started having noise with the power steering shortly after getting that done. I called A Plus, and they thought it was normal and to carry on driving it, do not worry. Fast forward to today: I have since moved to Houghton (9 Hrs North), and I brought it in to a local shop today since my power steering pump has now failed, and unfortunately the transmission line went on the way at the exact same time (these things do happen!)! A Plus is going out of their way to cover the power steering pump (out of warranty now, mind you!), and was willing to take care of towing to the transmission shop, and will remotely cover that bill too! Never expected a shop to take care of their customers like this! Told my Dad who lives in Brighton to tell people about this as I am extremely happy I chose A-Plus!

I can t say enough! My transmission had just died with no warning and they were so helpful through the whole process. Alex had to endure a million different calls from me as I was trying to figure out what to do since I live on the opposite side of the state and they customer service was excellent. Thank you to everyone who was involved with getting my car running again!

It is very uncommon to find a repair shop that takes the time to listen to you and your needs. When we had trouble with my daughter s transmission and called around to find a shop I was fortunately able to talk to Alex. He was very professional and I felt he was truly concerned about my daughter and her vehicle. When I told him that she was broken down his first questions were is she in a safe place and do you need me to send somebody to pick her up. I was blown away that he was more concerned about my daughter and her safety than he was about just getting the job. Once we had the car brought in he made sure to keep me updated throughout the repair process and he gave me options and explained the benefits that came with each of those options. Since the repairs my daughter s car has been running great and shifting better than it ever has. I was also happy to learn that they do more than just transmission repairs and can take care of all of our families automotive repair needs. When I picked up the vehicle he told me that if there were ever a problem with my vehicle or service at his shop let him know so he could make things right. Good customer service nearly impossible to find and this place takes it to the next level and has earned a customer for life.Service: Transmission

Awesome, previously replaced part failed well out of warranty but A Plus replaced it again and only charged me for the part not labor.All the work we ve had done over the last 5 years ended successfully!!! Thanks Again

Absolute best customer service I could expect. This is my second time using A Plus for transmission repair and I could not be happier with their work and communication. (The last repair was almost 20 years ago on a different vehicle - this was not a repeat repair.) Everyone I asked about where to take my transmission for work suggested A Plus and they were all correct. Everyone there is super nice and helpful (John is the man). My car is always taken care of and I don t need to sell a kidney to get my car(s) fixed. Everyone is so patient to answer any questions or concerns you may have and if you don t understand anything they are more than welcome to take the time to explain everything to you. I ve never experienced anything like it with any mechanic shop in all of my years. The only place to go in the area. Also provided courtesy rides for drop off and pick up. What service. Another service center recommended A Plus. I dropped our Jeep off at 2pm on a Thursday and they completed the work by Friday at 2pm. I'm not sure if this is normal for them, but it made my wife and I very happy. They provide great feedback and and excellent service.I highly recommend them for auto repair needs. If I ever need their type of services again, I won't hesitate to use them.There's a reason they have such a high Google rating, it's because they're good, very good!Edit:July of 2022, we had some rear-end work done on our vehicle. This year we had an issue out of state, that required some attention. When we got back to Michigan, I sat down with the manager Alex to review the issue. Our meeting could not have gone any better. He and the company are extremely professional and loyal to their customers. I couldn t be more pleased with this organization and the outcome.Thank you!Service: Auto maintenance

Recommend A Plus for all their services, since a customer from the early 1990 s.Recently in May, I asked for complete maintenance on my sedan with 100k, so I could sell it to my sister. The estimated $3k work came in under budget. They reassured me that my brakes with 40k were good. They recommended that the 150k serpentine and rear shocks would need to be replaced in a year or 2. Fixed a corroded wire to an oxygen sensor at no charge. Usually have the throttle body and injector maintenance done at the dealer, but decided to have it done here. Found struts with 100k not leaking, but said they would cause increased wear on my new tires. Always replace brake fluid after 50k, but they explained the pH and water contamination not present. Guess my previous brake fluid was not tested at the other place. My maintenance is old school, so I like to learn. Spark plug cost was less than the book price. Since never had to top off oil before, they found a new oil leak in the valve cover gasket, which I would have discovered a couple months later with a warning light. surprised that all this work completed in 1.5 days.Always was satisfied with transmission service and other fluid changes. 3 years ago, I kept adding more mechanical work to my 2 previous SUV s with 100k. At that time they replaced an obscure part of the suspension that the tire store had missed in my SUV, also selling to a relative. Sorry this is so long and detailed, but that is how I treat my autos.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Vehicle safety inspection

I took my vehicle to another repair shop that wanted to charge me to fix everything that was supposedly wrong with my car including transmission which is what I brought it in for on a warranty $10,000 and told my warranty company I caused the damage to my transmission so they denied it being covered. So took it to a plus and they fixed the radiator which the other place had to of did something to because it wasn't leaking coolant when I dropped it off to them, found I had a misfire and needed a solenoid replaced before they could even find out what is going on with transmission now they are working with warranty company better because everything the other place said was completely wrong. They are honest and fair and very friendly as well, I won't go anywhere else ever again.
