This review is for someone who received services from Joe's Transmission Oct 2022, Timothy Lamphere stated he has great prices, and Joe does what he can to make sure every customer is satisfied. Transmission lasted 200 miles. I removed my father in-law's transmission for him from his truck. I told him not to take his transmission to this guy, knowing you can not get a quality rebuild for $350 including parts and labor. One hour rebuild; really! Well, my father in-law decided to take it there anyway and it lasted two weeks after being reinstalled. At the very least it is a gamble looking at the reviews. It appears he has a 65% success rate.Service: Transmission

My husband and I made a three hour trip, based on reviews and conversations with Joe, to have our daughter's transmission rebuilt. This rating system needs more than five stars for a business like this one! Joe is an extremely efficient and honest man that does superb work! We were given a start time...he was ready and waiting, even though we were early. He told us he'd be done in an hour...he was done and washing his hands upon our return. We would recommend Joe to anyone and will surely return if we are ever in need of his services again.

Showed up and immediately bad customer service. Very rude, didn t want business bad enough wife was also rude. Grabbed my transmission and left no need for my business there definitely don t recommend wasting your time here

I've had him rebuild two transmissions for me. He is quick with his work, friendly and very informative about exactly why the transmission may have failed in the first place. Would recommend him to anyone!!!

My disadled brother had his transmission rebuilt may 24 and hasn't even put 5000 miles on his Envoy yet and his transmission is junk already!!!! Very disappointed being I referred my brother to him....and sadly my brother cannot afford to have it pulled again and brought back up there to be made right either, so very disapointed

Joe had the transmission rebuilt in 1 hour! He does awesome work this is the second transmission he has done for me with no issues.

My husband and I left West Branch at 5:30am, got to Boyne City at 8am......They had our transmission done in 1 1/2 hours..This guy knows what he is doing.....We will sing his professionalism and promptness to everyone!! Thanks Joe and your helper!!!

This guy is a joke took my trans there and "rebuilt" it by using used parts from other transmissions only to get my transmission home and in and it not be fixed still wouldnt shift and now its slipping so i called around to ask other shops about trans and very one of them laughed when i said i took it to joes transmission in boyne city after alot of phone calls and pulling my trans 2 more times i find that he put used parts in from another transmission and only changed clutches so really he only rebuilt a quarter of it this guy is a scam artist and charges for a full rebuild and use used parts and dont even replace seal,springs,or pull valve body hence i had a broken spring that came out in 5 piecesSo in conclusion Do not use this guy you will regret wasting your time and money for nothing lots of money wasted with this guy just go buy a new trans it will be cheaper then the headaches this guy causes

Great work and very fast dropped off a trans that is $1300 anywhere else for a rebuild went through it in 45 mins and it was done

Took my transmission there he said it was done an hr later paid mechanic to put it back in and still the same problem called him he said replace this part paid mechanic to do so still the same problem called again he said he dont know then and said if I want to bring it an hr back to him and pay my mechanic to pull it out again he would try to fix it but paying my mechanic to pull it and put it back 3 times broke me

Unless you have means to take out your transmission he does not do R&R only rebuilds.
