Took my 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 here for the first time and I m glad to have found a reliable and trustworthy mechanic shop. They did a fair amount of work for a fair price. I fully recommend these guys.

Excellent work from some honest and amazing people! These days we take our vehicles to Gerred's for anything big or small. They have been particularly great at letting us know about upcoming maintenance concerns, which allows us to budget for them in advance (unlike most places we've been over the years that spring the bill on the day of!). Rates are reasonable, and better than the corporate box stores further into town, plus they always seem to fit us in without much delay. I can t thank Shane enough for doing everything he could for me on my 2016 Silverado. He went out of his way to diagnose the issue right away, at the end of his work day no less. I didn t end up using Gerreds for the work I had done, but it was Shane who did everything he could to seek out help for me. It s very apparent that he takes his job very serious and is willing to help out customers in need. I recommend these guys to anyone and everyone looking for honest trustworthy work.

We had a minor problem with our vehicle while on vacation. They fixed the problem in a few minutes and did not charge us anything. He was very respectful and professional. He was very friendly. I traveled to Boyne City from Ohio for vacation in Sept. 2023. My truck had a very small oil leak so I stopped by Gerred's. Shane dropped what he was doing, crawled under the truck and identified the leak. The leak was nothing serious but he suggested I return to have fluid levels checked before returning home. Shane would not accept any payment! I took the truck back to Gerred's the day before my return trip. Neil put the truck on the lift and did a double check of the leak while checking fluid levels. Again would not accept any payments! There are still amazing people out there while Shane and Neil top the list. They were polite, professional, helpful and informative. I highly recommend Gerred's Automotive Solutions in Boyne City Michigan.!! I wish I could add 5 more stars to this review!! Thank you Guys for all you do!!

My husband and I have taken both of our vehicles to Gerreds Automotive! Shane is amazing with what he does! Always able to get us in and our vehicles fixed in an officiant timely manner! Highly recommend!!!!

I can t thank Shane enough! My husband and I are here on vacation and our truck decided now was a great time to act up. We tried several different dealerships to look at it with no luck. Shane took the time to check it out (so our vacation could go on) and had the problem fixed in no time. I highly recommend these guys!

Great shop. Shane diagnosed and fixed some engine noises and an exhaust leak that had been plaguing my Subaru. Very thorough and friendly service from their team. Will be my go to shop in the area. Thanks!

This shop is run by one guy and his wife. So you know your vehicle is being worked on by someone very knowledgeable and reliable! Phenomenal service, more than fair pricing. There trustworthy people who understand people aren't made of money and I'm sure can accommodate even the tightest of budgets. Great honest staff, great pricing/ rates. Relatively fast especially considering the staff is small.

They fixed my engine and I got my family hauler back. Great communicating, and they're master mechanics what else needs to be said. Last Wednesday on 10-27-21 my wife and I was on our honeymoon when our leased 2019 Ford Edge power train light came on. The owners manual recommended that we seek a dealer immediately. After speaking with 3 different Ford Dealers and explaining our problem, and that we were from the Detroit area 264 miles away and on our honeymoon, we just wanted to know if we had a serious problem or a problem that could wait. All three Ford dealership said they couldn't take the time to help us. So as we were driving down the road wondering what to do next, we passed Gerred's Automotive Solution LLC. We decided to pull in to see if they could help us. Shane came out and we told him about our problem. I asked if he could hook up a diagnostic analyzer to tell us what the problem was. Shane said no problem, in 5 minutes he let us know that this was something that could wait until we got back to the Detroit area. We then proceeded to have a very pleasant conversation after which I asked what I owed him, he replied nothing. If I could, I would bring my car to him whenever I had a problem, but a 264 mile trip to get to him isn't feasible. I would however recommend to anyone that lives in the area and has a problem, to take it to Gerred's Automotive Solutions LLC. It's nice to find people that have compassion for others and is willing to help. If I'm ever out that way again I will definitely stop in to say hi and bring something to show my appreciation. Was extremely pleased with the pleasant friendliness of the staff. Would highly recommend this shop as I am a mechanic and was on vacation needing brakes.
